爸爸给我买了一只可爱的小乌龟。这个小乌龟还没我的一个巴掌大，头是三角形的，像蛇的脑袋一样;背上有13块六边形的花纹，上下都有十分坚硬的壳儿，就算从两米多高的房子上面摔下来，壳也不会碎，照样还会把头伸出来;它的脖子有我的拇指肚那么长，上面有一道道波浪形的线条，两侧还有两道桔黄色的竖线;两只眼睛滚圆滚圆的，有小绿豆那么大，发亮的眼珠儿嵌在中间，转动自如，眨起眼来会发出轻微的“啪哒”声;它的尾巴又细又短，像一条小细绳，尾巴尖像针尖。

小乌龟可有趣啦，它摇头晃脑的，有时转圈;有时伸长脖子转脑袋;两只眼睛还眨巴眨巴的。

和小乌龟相处了一断时间后，我发现最有趣的就是小乌龟四脚朝天的情景了。我先把小乌龟翻了个底儿朝天，然后就耐心地等待着。只见它的四只脚在空中划动了半天，然后把头伸得长长的，靠在地上，再用一侧的前爪和后爪都贴在地上，用力一蹬，一骨碌就翻了过去。当然，有时候它一不小心，笨重的身子一晃，又变成了四脚朝天，躺在地上了。但它并不灰心，几次努力以后，还是翻了过去。

我听说小乌龟非常得胆小，是世界上最胆小的动物，并且它的警惕性非常高，一有风吹草动，就会把头缩进去。我想证实一下，于是，今天下午放学，我和妈妈又去观察小乌龟，小乌龟正趴在盆沿上，妈妈用一块板子去碰它的头，只听“嘶”的一声，小乌龟立刻成了缩头乌龟。我和妈妈被吓了一大跳。过了好一阵子，它才慢慢地把脑袋往外伸，眼睛不停地转，东张西望，那贪生怕死的样子显得那么可笑。

有的时候，我会给小乌龟喂一些小鱼吃，这只小乌龟呆头呆脑的，一见到小鱼儿就使劲地追，可是它哪儿能追上机灵的小鱼呢?于是不一会儿，便累得趴下了，这只小笨龟在水里呆了好一会儿，突然把自己的手、脚都缩在壳里，像一块石头一样地动不动呆在水里。小鱼看见了这块“石头”，游了过去。小乌龟以迅雷不及掩耳之势，伸出头来，一下子把小鱼吃了……嗯，还算是聪明的。

一天，我拿了一根筷子，给小乌龟玩，我刚把筷子放在水里，小乌龟便用嘴使劲地咬住筷子，我想把筷子拿出来，可是小乌龟却咬住筷子死死不放。我心生一计，端起盆，使劲地摇晃，不一会儿，小乌龟坚持不住了，慢慢地松了口，将头、脚都缩在了壳里。我赶紧将筷子拿了出来，敲着小乌龟的壳，说：“哼，你这个小乌龟，还是斗不过我吧?”

听大人说，小乌龟还是“清道夫呢”，给它一些烂菜、烂叶子，它都吃，可是即使我给小乌龟完整的菜叶子吃，它也不吃。我在心里说：“这个小乌龟可真给它们家族抹黑，连青菜叶子它都不吃，还算什么清道夫?”

01 我的父亲

One of my earliest memories of Dad is that he would often leave the house at dawn to go jogging.

我对父亲最早的一些记忆之一是他以前常在黎明时离家去慢跑.

He was a traditional Chinese father,which means that he didnt show his affection for his kids easily.

他是一个传统的中国父亲，这意味着他不轻易对儿女表露他的情感.

And he and I didnt talk much.

Some time ago, he made me go jogging with him.

I hated it be-cause I didnt know what to say to him.

Needless to say, I did not enjoy exercising with Dad.

窗外下着淅淅沥沥的小雨，“滴滴嗒嗒”地慢慢打在窗户上，我不由地望了望窗外，无意间看到了一群猫咪。我抹了抹窗子，跪在地上，哇!好可爱。

我的心都被萌化了。我家在11楼，为了看得清楚些，我把脸贴在了窗子上，观看着这和谐的一家五口。大猫是白色的，有两小只也是全身雪白，还有两只是黑白相间的。它们驻扎在我对面楼房的大门里。这时天也放晴了，看母猫忙里忙外的样子，应该是带小猫们出去晒一晒吧!我完全被吸引了，目不转睛地盯着窗处。

有一只调皮的小黑白猫首先溜了出来，在墙脚蹦跳着等待着。突然，有一群流浪狗映入我眼帘，它们好像有一个首领，一直走在前面带路。我数了数，一共6只，我不由地心一惊：完了，小猫完了。果真，那群野狗慢慢逼进了小奶猫，可它自己浑然不知，还玩得不亦乐乎。我为小猫捏了一把汗。那个狗队“首领”似乎想显现自己的威风，来到小猫背后，我似乎能感觉狗那轻蔑的眼神。然而，猫妈毫不知情，还忙得不可开交呢!我很着急，这时那条狗一下子将猫拍打在地，随即我清楚地听见了狗的狂吠声和小奶猫惊恐的惊叫声。

猫妈想都没有想，一秒钟就来到了狗群旁。它全身炸开了毛，一点也不畏惧地向狗群进攻，还发出了我从没听过的猫的怒气声，这声音一下子盖过了狗群，十分威慑力。我感觉到了母猫在抖，却丝毫看不出它一点的害怕，毕竟它要保护的是它的孩子啊!那群比猫还大很多的狗却被吓到了，虽然在还击着，隔着玻璃依然能看出它们在往后退，也没有狗叫声。一眨眼，狗群夹着尾巴逃离了。看着它们窘迫的样子，我松了口气，笑了。回想起来，真是可怕。

然而，母猫的毛依然根根竖立着，眼神凶狠得瞪着狗首领，大声威胁着，真到狗群离开了这栋楼。我第一次感觉到了动物的那种强大的爱的力量，那种无形的力量涌进我的心头，让我百感交集，母猫为子抗争的画面，让我心灵波动，久久不能平静。

窗外的那件事，我回味了很久，很久……

大象决定举办一个有趣的运动会。大象让山羊，鸡，狗，猴子，猫当比赛运动员。比赛那天，其他动物都来看热闹。只见大象给山羊戴上青草项链;给鸡戴上玉米项链;给狗戴上肉骨头项链;给猴子戴上葡萄项链;给猫戴上小鱼项链。大家都觉得很奇怪，只听大象对大家说：“这是一场特殊的比赛。运动员们必须戴着各自的项链，从这里一直跑到对面山坡上的大松树旁，然后返回来。路上不许丢掉项链，谁最先跑回来，谁就是冠军。”

比赛正式开始了。运动员们拼命奔跑，可跑不远，都受不了食物的引诱。青草的香味一个劲儿的往山羊的鼻子里钻;狗被肉骨头馋得直流口水。

猴子建议说：“这样不行，咱们还是把项链换一下吧!”鸡，狗，猫都赞成，只有山羊不同意。它们也顾不了那么多，急忙换了项链，继续向前奔跑。这一次，鸡戴肉骨头项链;狗戴葡萄项链;猴子戴小鱼项链;猫戴玉米项链。只有山羊还戴着自己的青草项链。它几次想把青草吃了，可它还是克制住自己，它想：“不能吃!绝对不能吃!”

山羊好不容易才跑回终点，其他运动员早已回到终点等它了。大象正准备把金牌给山羊戴上时，猴子喊了起来：“不公平!不公平!我们虽然把项链换了，可还在，并没有丢啊!”大象解释说：“其实，这是一场耐力和毅力的比赛。你们虽然没有丢掉项链，可戴的并不是自己的。山羊顺利地完成了这场特殊的比赛，所以，山羊才是真正的冠军!”说完，大象便把那块闪闪发光的金牌挂在山羊的脖子上。森林里顿时响起一片欢呼声。
