I think Mid-Autumn Day is an old traditional festival in China。 Everybody

likes it because its a family get-together。 You see it is called"Mid-Autumn

Day"， so it often es in September or October。 It is on the 15th of the 8th of

the lunar month。 Now， lets say something about this interesting festival。

Firstly， Id like to say something about the moon。 I like it very much

because I want to be an astronaut in the future。 That day the moon is round，

big， just like a beautiful plate hanging on the blue cloth。 When I see the moon，

I will remember the ancient myths——the godess Chang Er and her little rabbit are

playing under the tree which Wu Gang grows。 I will also think about Armstrongs

first moonwalk。 I will also miss the friends in Tai-wan island， in Macao and

Chinese people who are abroad。 I know they are missing us very much， too。

Secondly， I11 say something about the tradition on Mid-Autumn Day。

Look!Theres a big tree in a garden of a Chinese fami-ly。 All the family members

are sitting around a big table under the tree in the open air。 They are eating

the mooncakes and admiring the full moon in the sky。 That is a family reunion

dinner。 The mooncakes and the moon represent the love from a family。 I think

this is one of the most valuable things in the world。

Thirdly，it is a very good opportunity to make three wishes on Mid-Autumn

Day。 My wishes are: the first， I， an astronaut in the future， would like to go

to the moon one day， and stay with the sky and stars; the second， I hope every

person in the world will stay with family， share love from the family forever;

the third， I hope everybodys dream will e true。

That is the Mid-Autumn Day in my mind。 I will always re-member: East or

West， home is best。

April 12 is memorable because our clahad a meaningful experience on that day. In the morning, we bicycled to the suburbs to plant trees, talking and laughing all the way. Upon arrival, we began to work immediately. Some were digging holes. Some were carrying and planting young trees. Others were watering . After getting the work done, we put up a board reminding people to protect the trees. Before leaving we took some photos to record our green action. I imagine a lot about lives in the future. I think two words can summarize

convenient. Because of the fast development of our society, many work can be

My father is a bus driver. He has been working on it for more than ten years. He drives the No.9 bus of my city. Its routine starts from the east and then cross the city goes the the west. This work is toilsome, especially in the summer and winter, because its hot in summer but cold in winter. Everyday, my father just stays in the narrow place and barely moves. you go you can see people using cell phones. many college students, even high

school students, have cell phones.

Cell phones have brought people a lot of benefits, but the most important

is that they are convenient. with cell phones in their hands, they can keep in

touch with anybody they want. if they want to get some information from the

internet, they can easily have their dream realized via cell phones too.

furthermore, if someone has a heart attack or a traffic accident, a call to

emergency hospital or to the police can quickly bring him the help he wants.

However, cell phones can also bring people problems. the most serious is

the electric wave radiation which is thought to be harmful to users brains.

another problem is that when people are having a meeting or having a class or at

a concert etc, the ring of the cell phone may interrupt others. so i think

people should use cellphones as little as possible and turn them off when they

are attending important meetings or attending classes.

In my city, it’s so cold and wet in the winter that makes the winter days

much harder to get through. It rains a lot in my hometown, both during the

summer and the winter. I like the cold weather, but not the wet, because it

prevents me going out for fun. It’s much colder when it rains. Besides, when it

rains, the outside is all wet and dirty that makes you keep your foots in door.

And the whole city seems be covered by heavy fog. I always feel upset in such

weather. In one word, the weather is really bad in my city and I don’t like it

at all. I hope I can move to somewhere warmer and less rain.

This summer holiday, I had travelled to Hong Kong with many other students. We went to Hong Kong by plane. Hong Kong is very small, but there are many people living there.

In Hong Kong, all of the buildings are very tall. There are lots of shops there and you can go shopping until about 11:00 at night. In Hong Kong, things are very expensive, so we only bought a few souvenirs.

We went to lots of places, such as the Avenue of Stars and Ocean Park. I like Ocean Park best. The park is very big. Sitting in the cable car, you can see two hills, lots of different flowers and the sea. Some students were afraid of sitting in the cable car!

We stayed in the Shu Ren College. There are many big trees around it. We had meals in the restaurants, but I didnt like the food.

Hong Kong is very beautiful. I like Hong Kong and I hope to go there again some day.

Fathers Day

Yesterday was Fathers Day. I had planned to give my father a present. But I didnt remember it until in the morning.It was too late to post a card to him. So I decided to buy something. When I was in the department store. I found it was not easy for me to choose something right for him. Suddenly I

got an idea. I ran home and opened my computer. I made a beautiful card and mailed him through the Internet. then I began to make supper. I am a girl of ten, and I live in a small mountain village far from
