The two neighboring countries that used to be enemies are no longer enemies during the Games. Instead they became friends. Speaking of the XX Athens Olympics, perhaps most people would have the same opinion that the most noable part of the opening ceremony arrived when Iraqi and Afghan representatives showed up. These two unfortunate nations, the people of which have undergone innumerable wars, are coming back again to take their own responsibility in world sports after recent invasions by America. The fearless people of Iraq and Afghanistan are once more sharing the spirit of the Games with people from the rest of the world.

There is another story in this book that makes me deep in thoughts. There is no doubt that the most unusual Olympic Games ever in history is the 1936 Olympics held in Germany, which was then ruled by the Nazi Party. Led by Adolf Hitler, the Nazi believed that the so-called Aryan people were superior to all others in all aspects. They looked down upon Jews and blacks, the latter of which was a major constitution of the United States Olympic team. Despite the barrier that faced him, the African American Jesse Owens, who was a most outstanding runner and jumper, did all that he could and finally won gold medals for his country and went home a hero. This reveals another fact that no power on earth is able to hinder the sacred Olympic Games. I am convinced that few books are as good as this one. To be honest, I hadn’t maintained that this book would appeal me before I read it. However, I was absorbed in the book from the first chapter to the last one. Why this book has appealed to me that much? I asked myself. This book is not my type of reading for only romantic books could draw my attention successfully. Then I came into a conclusion that it is the friendship and familyship fascinated me.

To the world you are one person, but to the person who loves you, you are the world. Amir was Hassan’s world. Amir’s name had been the first word Hassan spoke. Hassan threatened brutal Assef for the sake of Amir. Hassan never failed to run the kite to please Amir. Hassan sacrificed himself for Amir’s house. These are more than a friend would do. Only those who loves you so much could challenge himself to do what Hassan did to Amir.To Hassan, Amir was not only a mere friend but a brother. He loved Amir more than anything else. Even after Amir betrayed him, he still told his son proudly“Agan Amir is my best friend”.Maybe for Hassan “for you, a thousand times over” has another meaning, which is not just kite running for Amir but he will do anything for Amir.

If Hassan could be described as an angel, then Amir was just a person. Amir didn’t deserve what Hassan did to him. I thought his meanness caused Hassan’s tragedy. But after I finished the book, I realized it is not Hassan’s tragedy, it is Amir’s. For what he had done to Hassan, he had led a live with regret and suffered endless sleepless nights. His going back to Afghanistan is not only a journey physically but a journey to atonement. Hassan’s son, his nephew saved, Amir’s sin was finally washed. Like the life of circle, Amir ran kite for his miserable nephew.As Hassan did to him, he said “for you , a thousand times over” to Sohrab.Though the book doesn’t give us an accurate ending whether Sohrab came into life again. I am sure love can cure everything. Only when Sohrab lives a happy life as Hassan hoped can Amir’s sin washed up.

The friendship between Hassan and Amir moved me. I believe All the people who read it is going to be touched just as I am. This book does make me think the good and the bad ,what’s wrong and what’s right, the cruelty of war . Few books can exert an influence on people nowadays, this book sure does.

记得刚走上讲台的那一刻，对于教学自己只在实习时听过几节课，根本就没有什么经验可言，所以我心里一直没底。为了教好这门学科，在教学方面，我努力钻研教材，认真的备好每一节课。但是，我总是因紧张而忘记下一个环节该进行什么内容了。就算拿着备课本去上课，课也总上的疙疙瘩瘩的。这样的状态大约持续了一个多星期。直到星期一，我又象往常一样去上课。上课时我无意中发现有个学生面带着微笑，正在津津有味的听我讲课，当时在我看来那个微笑是学生对老师的一种认可。那个微笑无形间给了我自信，使我紧张的心情得以放松。我终于顺利的完成了教学任务。在以后的教学中，我慢慢的被我的学生所感染，并且也能在课堂上带着微笑，带着自信的完成每一节课的任务，这要感谢我的学生曾给我的那个微笑，曾给我的那份自信!

有趣的事情还有一次：我可爱的孩子们还曾帮我订正过错别字，帮我纠正的方式你猜都猜不到，他居然跑到的办公室来找我，说：“老师，我帮你借了本书，你看看吧!”随后便跑了。我走过去，发现书是敞开的，等我仔细看完敞开的这页后，我才明白，给我借书看是假，帮我纠正错别字是真。原来粗心的我把“本”写成了一个“大”下面加了个“十”!看完之后，我才知道原来这两个字的意思差别竟然如此之大!瞧瞧我的学生又使我有了进步!

看看，我的学生是多么的可爱啊!他们给予我的远远超过了我给予他们的。我只能竭尽我的全力来培养他们，让他们在校园里健康快乐的成长!于是，每当孩子调皮时，退步时，违纪时，我总是告诉自己：对孩子多一分理解，少一分责备，多一分宽容，少一分苛求。用师爱为他们引路，用师爱在他们的心里谱写一曲最美的歌。

这世界有许多的爱被人们称颂，我们的世界也因爱而精彩，因爱而美丽。母爱是伟大的，师爱是无私的。对于孩子我们尽力的辅导，无私的关爱，每当我面对学生我感觉是无愧的，因为我已经尽我的全力;可每当面对儿子，我总感觉自己不是一位称职的好母亲。每当想到这我都非常难过!

有人把师爱比作春雨，滋润了孩子的心田;有人把师爱比作阳光，温暖了孩子的心房。师爱，是一种发自灵魂的芬芳，是一种深入骨髓的甜蜜。当你用心去爱你的学生，你收获的不仅仅是讲台上那一束束美丽的山花，办公桌上那两个红红的苹果，耳旁那一声声清脆的“老师，您好”……更多的，是一种为人师的幸福、自豪。那么，我们有什么理由不热爱这太阳底下最光辉的事业，有什么理由不去爱我们的学生呢?

我读过杰克。伦敦《热爱生命》中顽强挣扎的病狼，我读过西顿《狼王洛玻》中威猛勇敢的狼王，可《狼图腾》却是我看的第一本描写、研究草原狼的奇书。这部作品生动刻画了草原狼的一举一动，草原狼是个奇特的物种，聪明智慧而又勇敢团结，它是纵横草原强大的蒙古兵的老师。草原狼教会了他们各种战术、生活方式和牧场的繁殖。如果没有草原狼，恐怕整个蒙古民族就会从世界上消失。

如今，蒙古铁骑和蒙古狼群纵横驰骋、自由穿行的游牧草原已经一点点、一点点逐渐的从人们脑海中消失淡化。如果不是此书，曾经令人记忆深刻的草原狼，也会渐渐在我们生活中淡化，像灰尘一样消失。

《狼图腾》是一本非常值得一看的书，不但写了令人害怕的狼群，还写了蒙古大草原的美丽景色。那里美如仙境，羊群在茂盛的草丛中吃草，不时，去湖里喝水。绿树成荫，鲜花盛开。要说景好、树美、花香，还得说是姜戎先生写得好!

本书还有一个非常经典的地方：就是情节生动，亲切自然。作者并没有用华丽的词藻堆砌，而是按自己的真实想法，自然的去写，非常感人。文中的主人公——北京知青陈阵，经历了许多事：他掏过狼崽，养过小狼，与狼战斗过，也与狼缠绵过，并与他亲爱的小狼和猎狗共担苦难，经历了青年时代痛苦的“精神游牧”。

好了，读到这里，你们也会有一个个大大的问号了吧!不用问我，只要打开这本书，问号就会一个个圆满的解决!

"A tale of two cities" is one of Dickenss most important representative works.The novel profoundly exposed the society contradiction before the French Revolution,intensely attacks the aristocratic social class is dissolute and cruel,and sincerely sympathizes with the depressed classes.The novel also described many magnificent scenes like the revolt people attacked Bastille and so on,which displayed peoples great strength.

The novel has portrayed many different people. This book is simply wonderful. The tales involved are tales of the Persian Gulf, of Bagdhad, Arabia, and tales that we as adults should revisit for some enjoyable light reading that will make us smile and wonder at the old folklore of the Arabian Peninsula.

Sinbad the Sailor is in there, as is Aladdin in its original form, and the story begins of a king who is so upset by his wifes unfaithfulness that he will now only accept virgins for one night and then have them killed. A smart virgin begins her night with the infamous king by telling him stories, and she so fascinates him and enthralls him with her tales that the tales turn into folklore for readers of the ages. I wont tell you what happens in the end to the virgin princess, but you will find humor, enchantment, wisdom and fantasy for those times when stress becomes a factor in your life.

I highly recommend the tale of "The Historic Fart" as a both funny and inspiring tale of human nature. Please buy this book and remember to become a nine -12 year old again as you read with curiosity and wonder at the fabulous enchanting, lively stories. I was beginning to wish my children were a bit younger so I could read these to them. Any child would enjoy these stories, and any adult will find them simply relaxing and a reflection of medieval Islam.

The old man and the sea mainly tells the story: an old fisherman for eighty-four days without fish, met with a giant marlin on the sea. After three days and three nights of struggle, the old man finally killed the big marlin, but he on the way home, but being attacked by a shark, when he returned, the big marlin only fish head fish left.

This story, but tell the immortal hero, although the old man fails, but thats just the sort of strength and a failure of the body, of his confidence and hope that it is impossible to burst. "People are not born for defeat. A man can be destroyed, but can not be one to beat! This is a tough guy spirit!" A very valuable spirit!

《老人与海》主要讲述了：一位老渔夫连续八十四天没有捕到鱼的情况下，在大海上遇到了一条巨大的马林鱼。经过了三天三夜的较量，老人终于杀死了大马林鱼，可他返航的途中 ，却被鲨鱼袭击了，当他返回时，那条大马林鱼只剩下鱼头鱼尾了。

这篇故事，却讲出不朽的英雄的主义，虽然老人失败了，但那只是那种力气和肉体上的一次失败，他的信心与希望是不可能破灭的。“人不是为了失败而生的。一个人可以被毁灭，但是不可以被人给打败!这是硬汉精神!”一种十分可贵的精神!

有两则关于同一条英语谚语Blood is thicker than water的译例。其一是“清水不浓血却浓”，其二是“血浓于水”。从字面上看，上述两则译例译得固然不错，似无可厚非。译文读起来很顺，又比较易懂，但读后似有不知所云之感。

这是因为译文的形象没能准确地传达出这条谚语的喻义来。

Longman Dictionary of English Idioms（p.28）上对这条谚语的解释是“The relationship between people of the same family is stronger than other，relationships”因此，这则谚语似可以借用汉语中一句俗语“亲不亲一家人”来译更能表达出“属于同一血缘关系的一家人比别人更亲近一些”的寓意。

语言是文化的表现形式。谚语同文学作品、诗歌一样是语言的精华。英语谚语是富于色彩的语言形式，一般具有生动形象、喻义明显、富于哲理的语言特征。在一定程度上，英语谚语反映了英语民族的文化特点。因此，翻译英语谚语时，仅仅以语言之间词汇的同义性（等价性）为前提，寻求对等的表现是不够的。译者须较多运用汉语的表现手段，力求能再现英语谚语的语言风格和丰富内涵。只有多注意英语谚语字面以外所特有的语言内涵色彩，才能使译文讽喻得当，宜于说理，又不失原来谚语所具有的语言形象。

某些英语谚语和汉语成语、俗语在表现形式和含义方面是一致的或基本一致的。汉译这些英语时，可惜用与其喻义相同或相近的成语或谚语及俗语直接对译。这样不但可以比较好地保持原文的神韵和形式，又使译文易于为读者或听者接受。如：

Pride comes before a fall．骄兵必败。

Amiss is as good as a mile.差之毫厘，失之千里。

Two is company，but three is none.两个和尚抬水吃，三个和尚无水吃。

Walls have ear.隔墙有耳。

Enough is as good as a feast．知足常乐。

有些英语谚语虽然在语言习惯和文化背景方面和其相对的汉语谚语之间存在着某些差异，而且所比喻的事物并不一样，但他们的喻义却相互吻合，而且表达方式也很相似，汉译这些英语谚语时，常常需要“易其形式，存其精神”，即采用形象近似的汉语成语意译。这样可使译文既喻义明显，又含而不露，且可再现原文所具有的语言效果，容易达意。如：

Two can play the game.孤掌难鸣。

Newbroom sweeps clean.新官上任三把火。

Speak of the devil，and he appears.说曹操，曹操到。

The grass is greener on the other side of the hill．这山望着那山高。

Putting the cart before the horse.本末倒置。

有些英语谚语意在言外，语言含蓄，寓意深刻。如果仅从字面意义直译成汉语，而不领会原文的具体含义及其效果，译文势必平淡无味。这样既不能表达意思，又有损于原文的语言形象和丰富内涵。因此，在翻译时，应在汉语中寻找那些与原文喻义相同或效果相似的成语、谚语或俗语来表达，则会使译文形象生动，准确达意。试比较下列各译例。

People who live in glass houses should not throw stones.如译成“住在玻璃房子里的人，不应扔石头”不如译成“己有过，勿正人”或“责人必先责己”。

In fair weather prepare for the foul．如译成“晴天要防阴天”，不如译成“有备无患”或“居安思危”或“未雨绸缪”。

Murder will out．如译成“谋杀终必败露”，不如译成“纸包不住火”。

Fools rush in where angels fear to tread．如译成“愚者敢闯天使不敢去的地方”，不如译成“初生牛犊不怕虎”。

One cannot make an omelette without breaking eggs.如译成“想吃煎蛋卷，就得打鸡蛋”，不如译成工“有得必有失”或甚至可以引申为“不破不立”。

如果所要翻译的谚语喻义清新，形象逼真，按其字面直译其意，就能表达出原文的喻义来，则可直译。这样做既能较完整地保存原文的表达方式，且又可丰富我们自己的语言文化，一举两得，请看下面的译例。

God helps those who help themselves.上帝帮助那些自己帮助自己的人。或“自助者天助之”。

Money is the root of all evil．金钱是万恶之源。

An empty sack cannot stand upright．空袋立不直。

Do as you would be done by. 以你所期望的别人待你的方式待人。

这与另一谚语： Don’t do unto others what you don’t want others do unto you.“己所不欲勿施于人”很相似。

Money talks.钱能通神。

有些英语谚语常常采用对称的修辞手段。使用这一修辞手段的目的在于加强语势，宜于说理，读后有心悦诚眼之感。汉译这些谚语时，应适当注意保持其修辞色彩，以便体现原文的表达方式。如：

You may take a horse to the water， but you can’t make it drink．

如果按字面译成，“你可以把马牵到河边去，但不能叫它饮水”至少是没有充分体现这句谚语本身所具有的强烈对比色彩。从语法分析的观点看，在这个句子里，情态动词may和can虽然都表示“可能”的，但在含义上有所不同。这里may表示“事实上的可能性”，而can则表示“逻辑上的可能性”。并列连词but使前后两个分句意义相反，对比色彩强烈。在这种情况下，译文也必须力求对偶整齐，前后呼应，形成对照。如将此句译作“牵马河边易，逼它饮水难”或“老牛不喝水，不能强按头”会更好些。

总之，即使像谚语这样孤立的语句，翻译时也需尽一番揣摩切磋之功，否则译文就可能与原文“貌合神离”，文不达意。译事艰辛也许正在于此。

这是一本女孩必读之书，它让人重获信心与希望，它就是《简·爱》!

《简·爱》是英国女作家夏洛蒂·勃朗特创作的长篇小说，一部带有自传色彩的作品。小说讲述简·爱在各种磨难中不断追求自由与尊严，坚持自我，最终获得幸福的故事。
