看着星，脑海里回忆着，品味着，思索着，记得女主人公说过一句话：“ 当我无缘无故挨打时，我们应该狠狠地回击……”当简受人欺负时，她始终没有过多地抱怨，而是努力挽回，并且“狠狠地回击”，这也是简·爱具有的反抗精神，也是她在舅妈里德太太家，在劳渥德学校，在桑菲尔德，在圣约翰家，始终具备的反抗精神。也正是这种精神，是这本著作成为了英国文学史上的一个创举。夏洛蒂在写《简·爱》的时候，对她的两个妹妹说过：“我要写一个女主角给你们看，她和我是同样貌不惊人和身材矮小，然而她却要和你们所写的任何一个女主角同样能引起读者的兴趣。”是的，简长相平常，且一无所有，但在夏洛蒂的笔下，让她虽然平凡却勇敢的面对一切，成就了她的光彩夺目。夏洛蒂借简爱激励着自己的妹妹们不要因为小小的挫折而气馁，要敢于面对写作生涯不顺利的事实。并且继续努力。

在罗切斯特先生面前，简爱从不因为自己是一个地位低贱的家庭教师而感到自卑，她有着自己的尊严，并且始终相信他们是平等的。她的感情是炽热的，也正因为她的正直，高尚，纯洁，和那颗没有受到世俗污染的心灵。使得罗切斯特为之震撼，并深深爱上了她。简爱对罗切斯特说过：“我的灵魂跟你一样，我的心跟你的也完全一样……我现在跟你说话，并不是通过习俗、惯例……而是我的精神在同你的精神说话;就像两个都经过了坟墓，我们站在上帝的眼前，是平等的——因为我们是平等的!”这，也就是简的自尊，自爱。

看着黑夜的大幕，让那两颗爱的星映入瞳孔，其中的一颗敢于向恶俗势力反抗、追求平等，让自己在夏洛蒂笔下获得了永生，让她和旁边的哪一颗耀眼的星，永远相依相偎，永远闪烁着自己的光芒。
