外婆是马来西亚人，嫁给外公后，由于马来西亚政府排华，在二十世纪五十年代初回到祖国。当时她已经有了幼小的母亲。我可以想象他们一路上的折腾，一路上的不容易。

在印象中，外婆个子不高，约一米五十，小巧玲珑的，会令人产生一份呵护，一份关心。她秀发不长，只到脖子上。头发侧面用普通常见的黑色发卡夹住，不至于挡住视线，遮住脸庞。这个发型一直保持了几十个春秋，从未改变过。外婆善良，对人友好，几乎未与人争吵，几乎未与人打骂。

小时候，随母亲到外婆家。外婆常常喜上眉梢，煮了点心慰劳我们。当时，七八十年代，大家都很穷。鸡蛋、粉干与蒜叶就是拿得出手的点心，有时也加上一点肉。有时外婆用肉羹汤做点心，就让我常常回味无穷，余味不足。吃午饭的时候，外婆把鸡蛋与面粉搅拌在一起进行煎炸，就是我喜欢的菜，就是我羡慕的美味佳肴。她外加一碟青菜，一碟咸菜，有时会在菜里点缀几块肉，还有一盆汤，就用它们“宴请”我们。我吃得津津有味，胃口大开，特别对肉有着很大的兴趣，总是吃着碗里看着锅里，恋恋不舍肉的味道。

有时候，遇到了一年一次的“佛生日”，外婆家就杀猪宰鸭，弄得热热闹闹的，邀请亲戚，邀请亲人，邀请我们看大戏。有好吃的，有好玩的，这在我的记忆中非常深刻，留下了印象，留下了兴奋，留下了甜蜜。
