一.名词

写作中，学生们常把握不好名词的数、所有格以及一些集合名词的用法。

1.Hegavemeaverygoodadviceyesterday.

句中的a要去掉，因为advice是不可数名词。一些汉语概念为可数的词在英语中却是不可数的，表示数量时在要其前加apieceof，类似的词有：news,bread,work,paper,chalk,furniture,information等等。

2.Thatgirllovesreadingbook.

可数名词单数不能孤零零地放在句子里，或前面加冠词，或将其变为复数。此处最好变为books.

3.Hewentintoabooksshopandboughtadictionary.

一般表示有生命的东西的名词的所有格用’s，如mymother’scar,而此处适宜用名词修饰名词，改为abookshop.

4.MyfamilyiswatchingTV.

一些集合名词如看成一个整体，则用单数的谓语动词，如Myfamilyisahappyone.如果强调集合中每个个体的个人行为，则用复数的谓语动词。此处看电视是个体行为，应把is改为are。类似的词有：team,class,audience等。

5.Iboughtsomepotatosandtomatosatthesupermarket.

中学阶段，以“o”结尾的名词中有四个词变复数时要加es，它们是tomato,potato,Negro,hero;其余的都加s变为复数。

6.Thishasnothingtodowiththeirbelieves.（这和他们的信仰没关系。）

以f,fe结尾的词变为复数时一般去f,fe加ves，如knife—knives,

thief—thieves;而roof和belief直接加s变为复数。所以应把believes改为beliefs.

二.冠词

7.Thebosswantstohireanusefulperson.

用a还是an，取决于后面单词音标中的第一个音，如为元音用an，为辅音用a。useful的第一个音是辅音所以应把an改为a。类似的，我们说aEuropeancountry.

8.Planeisamachinethatcanfly.

plane为可数名词单数，不能单独放在句中，应在其前加冠词或把它变为复数，而本句后有amachine,因此只能在其前面加a，变为Aplane。

9.Heplayedapianoatthepartyyesterday.

把a改为the，因为乐器前用定冠词。

10.Themachinewasinventedin1920s.

在in后加the，因为表示年代用in加the再加几十的复数，如在八十年代inthe80s。

11.XiaoHongwenttoschoolbythebuseveryday.

去掉the，因为表示交通方式用by直接加交通工具。

三.代词

使用代词时请注意其单、复数，主、宾格以及形容词性物主代词和名词性物主代词的用法。

12.Heisoneofthosespeakerswhomakehisideasperfectlyclear.

定语从句的先行词是thosespeakers，为复数，因此从句中的指示代词应为复数，应把his改为their。

13.Whomdoyouthinkhasleftthelightson?

放在疑问句特殊疑问词后的doyouthink/believe/guess/imagine/suppose等都不参与句子成分。本句中去掉doyouthink后缺的是主语，应把Whom改为Who。

14.ThebosspretendednottoseeJohnandI.

John和I在句中都做的宾语，应把I改为me。

15.Thesebooksaremine；thoseinthebagareher.

her是形容词性物主代词，后面应该加名词books，或把her改为hers。

四.数词

16.Therearefourteenhundredsstudentsinourschool.

hundred/thousand/million/score/dozen等词前有具体数字时后不加s，前面没有具体数字时在其后加s和of，表示大约几百几千的概念。如two

hundredstudents（两百个学生），hundredsofstudents（成百上千个学生）。例句中应把hundreds改为hundred。

17.Theirschoolistwiceaslargerasourschool.

表倍数关系的as...as中间只能用形容词或副词的原级。因此应把larger改为large.

18.Today’shomeworkisafive-hundred-wordscomposition.

几个单词由连字符连接而组成的复合形容词中的名词只能用单数，所以把five-hundred-words改为five-hundred-word.

19.TwothirdofthestudentsinourschoolarefromAmerica.

英语表达中分数的分子用基数词，分母用序数词，分子大于一时分母后要加s，所以就把third改为thirds.

五.形容词和副词

形容词和副词容易被误用，形容词和副词的比较级和最高级也是应注意的重点。

20.Thepatientappearednervouslywhenhetalkedtothedoctor.

appear在此是个系动词，其后应接形容词作表语。所以应把nervously改为nervous.

21.Theartistworkedhardlytofinishhisdrawingsontime.

此句需要一个副词来修饰，hardly是副词，但意为“几乎不”，hard也可以是副词，表努力，因此把hardly改为hard.

22.Thisshirtismorecheaperthanthatone.

more只构成比较级，而不能修饰比较级。因此把more去掉。

23.Heisthemostsuccessfulofthetwobusinessmen.

两者相比较时，比较级前用定冠词，三者或三者以上才用most，因此把most改为more.

24.Heworkslessharderthanheusedto.

表不如?...时用less加上形容词和副词的原级，因此把harder改为hard.

25.Thebookisfairlymoreinterestingthanthatone.

fairly只能修饰形容词和副词的原级，可以修饰比较级的副词或短语有：much,even,still,far,alot,alittle,abit,any,no,byfar,rather等，因此把fairly改为rather.

26.Thisisasaninterestingastoryastheoneinthemagazine.

as?as中间的词序是as加上形容词加上a(n)加上名词再加上as，因此应改为asinterestingastoryastheone.

27.Theweatherhereisnicerthan.

同样的事物才能相比较，weather和不具有可比性，因此应改为Theweatherhereisnicerthanthatof.

29.Iwouldrathertakeatrainthanwentbybus.

这个词组为wouldratherdo?thando?，因此把went改为go.

30.Isthereinterestinganythingatthemeeting?

修饰anything,something,everything,nothing的形容词都要放在它们的后面。

31.Ineverhaveseensuchapersonbefore.

像never之类的副词在句中应放在be动词、助动词之后，实意动词之前。因为应改为Ihaveneverseensuchapersonbefore.

32.Thebookisworthtoberead.

beworthdoing意为值得被做。因此改为Thebookisworthreading.

33.Itissurethathewillsucceed.

sure的主语只能为人，而certain的主语可为人和物。因此把sure改为certain.

34.Heisregardedasoneofthebestalivewritersatpresent.

alive为表语形容词，偶尔也做后置定语。因此把alive改为living，或把alive放在writers后面。

yet用于否定和疑问句，already用于肯定句。把yet改为already.

nearly不与否定词用在同一个句子中，而almost可以。因此把nearly改为almost。

六.介词

by加上名词表示一种交通方式，中间什么都不加，如bycar,bybus,byplane等；如果名词前有其他的词修饰，则应用除by以外的其他介词，此处把by改为in.

wait为不及物动词，需加介词for后才能再跟名词或代词做宾语。

marry不跟with连用，应把with改为to。

但随着我国改革开放的不断深入，人们越来越关注的是“洋礼仪”、“洋食品”和“洋节日”……我们的观点是：要籍着这种文化的“交融”与世界“接轨”。于是，2月14日的“瓦伦丁节”代替了我国流传多年的“七夕”，让牛郎织女在寂寞的银河畔孤独地扼腕叹息。“圣诞节”经济的火爆，更是让洋人都觉得瞠目结舌。尽管我们并不是基督教徒，也许我们根本不知道何谓“圣诞”，但这并不妨碍我们在每年的12月底那两天里狂欢不已。

如今，我们的春节没有了扭秧歌、踩高跷、闹社火……的热闹，家家户户门两边儿那红彤彤的春联，也慢慢地淡出了人们的视线。假如现在我们问一问幼儿园里的小孩子，让他们描述一下心中的春节，他们的回答一定是——电视上的“春晚”和经典食品“水饺”，我们的传统节日无论在文化内涵上还是在风俗形式上都越来越变得虚空，传统节日留在我们脑海中的记忆只是一些虚幻、模糊的概念。

传统文化的这种流失，传统节日里文化底蕴的削减，原因是多方面的。文革中“破四旧”行动对人们思想中传统观念的冲击，仍留下了不可忽略的贻害;国家有关部门对传统文化重视程度不足，也是原因之一，我们只有最大的传统节日——春节才有三天的法定假期，而其他的传统节日我们通常是在忙忙碌碌地应付生活中，稀里糊涂地“打发”了;我们的官员们考虑问题的出发点往往会与保护传统文化的需求是相悖的，譬如，一些城市为了社会治安的稳定，而下令“禁止进行龙舟比赛”，还有很多城市在春节期间规定了“禁止燃放烟花爆竹”的地方管理条例，那些传统活动就这样人为地越来越远离我们了;另外，在传统文化的教育方面，我国也存在着极大的不足，我们社会、学校、家庭都会强调孩子要学好英语、学好数理化，却很少有人督促孩子学习了解我国的传统文化。而这种传统文化的继承与传播，要靠整个社会的共同努力，要有一种环境，一种氛围。

说到这一点，就不得不对我们的近邻——韩国国民心存敬意。韩国的开放比我们要早得多，韩国与世界的交流也远比我们要多，但他们却无时无刻不在尽力保护自己的传统。他们不仅重视保护民族工业，坚决不开进口汽车，同时，他们还在很多方面，极好地保留了传统的习俗与文化。韩国人结婚的时候，是要化韩装、穿韩服的，他们的新娘是决不会穿西方流传过来的那种飘逸的婚纱，新郎也不会在自己的婚礼上穿西装的。这种做法虽说有点“固执”、“封闭”，但有些内涵的东西，不得不让我们深思。

我国传统的节日中，原本应该蕴涵很多珍贵的人文精神：亲情、团聚、守候……，以及这其中的文化传承。但是如今我们过节，通常都是“文化搭台、经济唱戏”，节日的意义越来越简单化，正日渐沦为追求经济利益。由此可见，我们确实该向邻国学习学习了。我们要善于用心去挖掘那些蕴含在传统节日里的中华文化精华，那些祖先们留下的智慧结晶，并且要能够以创新的精神来发展、传承我们的传统节日文化。

原本属于我们老祖宗的端午节，如今已经被别人“拿”走了，也许将来还有别的传统文化会这样莫名其妙地“丢失”。我们的传统文化正遭受着前所未有的“威胁”，很快就会一点点地被外来文化蚕食、直至最终被吞噬掉，这决不是危言耸听。全民动员，大力保护传统文化、传统节日，已经到了刻不容缓的时候了。不要让我们这代人成为历史的“罪人”。而要想保护好我们的传统文化，其实并不很难，只要我们时时刻刻记住自己的身份——我们是华夏子孙。

我今天国旗下讲话的题目是：端午节文化

今天是6月9号，农历五月初一。到本周五，农历五月初五是我国的传统节日——端午节。端午节，又称端阳节。关于端午节起源的传说有很多，其中，纪念屈原的说法流传得最广。历史上的这天人们会通过赛龙舟、包粽子等形式来纪念一颗不朽的灵魂——屈原。

屈原是我国古代伟大的爱国诗人，出生在两千多年前战国时期的楚国。他为人正直，学识渊博，很有才干，在楚国担任要职。因为他坚决主张抗击秦国侵略，而受到打击、排斥，被楚王赶出了朝廷。屈原悲愤至极，在流放途中写下了许多充满爱国主义精神的诗篇，如：《离骚》、《天问》、《九歌》等影响深远的诗篇。后来，秦国军队攻占了楚国的都城。楚国失地千里，尸横遍野。屈原心如刀绞，他不愿意看到国破家亡的惨景，就在农历五月五日这一天，在写下了绝笔《怀沙》之后，抱石投江而死，以自己的生命谱写了一曲壮丽的爱国主义乐章。

百姓们爱戴屈原，当听到他自杀的消息后，纷纷划船打捞屈原的遗体，但没能找到。他们怕江中的鱼虾会咬食屈原的遗体，又纷纷把江米装迸竹筒，扔到水里，想用江米喂食鱼虾来保护屈原的遗体。从此，每年的五月初五，人们都会自发地来到江边，悼念屈原，还要划着船冲进汹涌的波涛，象征人们争相打捞屈原遗体，以此来寄托对屈原的哀思。久而久之就形成了端午节赛龙舟的习俗。

As Chinese traditional virtue, helping others and taking care of each other

are the basic virtue of a person. We are lucky that we are born to be a healthy

person, while some persons are not that lucky, they may be born to be a disable

man or get hurt by accidents. Out of the basic virtue, it is not right to laugh

at them, we need to help each other, showing our love to them. December 3rd,

2013 is World Disabled Day, the day reminds people of the care about disable

men. The disable often ignored by us, since they are special group, we should

take care of them, give them our hands. We can do something for them, like

昨天晚上我写了一篇题为《又闻棕香飘》的短文，放在了散文吧里，在不到一天的时间里，有近500人次的点击，这是我所没有想到的。可能是快到端午节了，朋友们都已开始闻到了棕子的香味了吧。

端午吃棕子，是我国的重要民俗，在端午节包棕子、吃棕子应该说是非常重要事了。其实，我国几乎所有的传统节日，都或多或少和“食”有关，中国有句古话，叫“民以食为天”，欢度节日是老百姓的情感的集中表达，尤其中国的节日，浓浓的文化中与“食文化”紧密地联系在一起，每一种传统节日都有它特定的“食物”，可以说，吃什么“食物”就能知道在过什么个节日;如中秋吃月饼，元宵节包饺子，过年做年糕等等。

当然，在我们江南，端午节除了吃棕子，还要吃绿豆糕，不过，最普遍的最浓烈的最有人情味的，应该是包棕子、吃棕子了吧，因为棕子家家都要包的，所以每当端午节来临的前两天，去河边掰芦苇叶的妇女，可谓是浩浩荡荡。芦苇叶掰回来之后，水浸清洗，然后就淘糯米、泡红豆等，接着就利用晚上的休闲的时间来包棕子了;一般包棕子都是妇女的活，因为女性心灵手巧，包出来的棕子也是精巧好看，当然小孩子就不分男女了，由于好奇，也来凑热闹，不过，也因碍事，常常被大人们笑着赶走了。女性们常常把对生活的爱、对家人的爱全都包进棕子里，所以吃棕子，其实在享受浓浓的亲情和爱。而绿豆糕之类节日性的食品，基本上是从市场买回来吃，没有多少情感情愫在里面。现在人们的生活节奏加快了，不仅在城市，就是在农村，家家包棕子的现象似乎不见了，有好一些人家都是从商场里卖一些现成的棕子回家，来应付一下过节的孩子，来解一下尝吧;这是和我们小时候是不能比的了。记得那时，棕子也不象现在要从市场上去买，村前屋后的水边河岸，到处是芦苇，想掰多少芦苇叶就想掰多少，而且，叶宽色深，味清香幽，没有任何的污染。母亲每年要包很多棕子，烧好的棕子悬挂在一个横竹竿上，长长的一条龙，蔚为壮观。

现在可能有很多的年轻人不会包棕子了，这多少让人感到有点遗憾事。我和妻子都是农村出生长大的，尤其是妻子，是包棕子的行家里手，经她手包的棕子，紧实精神，味道也是特别正宗。棕叶之间插不好，棕绳扎得又不紧，烧熟的棕子不仅外观不美观漂亮，而且棕肉还会水沽拉渣的，没什么香味，口感就不怎么样了。我每次包的棕子就是这个样子，结果连我自己都不愿吃自己包的棕子。当然啦，口感是一回事，悠悠地享受生活的情趣又是另外一回事。因此，每年当妻子包棕子时，只要我在家，肯定也会包几个，也算是赶一个节味吧。

如今，吃棕子，也不大赶节时上吃了，一年到头，商店或超市都有现成的卖，而且有各种缓式样的包装、棕肉的味道也多种多样。但我还是比较喜欢吃糯米棕子，尤其是在糯米里加些许的红豆或枣子什么的，虽然做法很简单，但吃起来非常爽口纯净，没有油腻感;也有糯米里什么也不放，这种纯糯米包的棕子，吃起来有原始古朴的感觉，特别有劲道。

上个星期天，妻子说端午节快到了，让我去菜市场买些棕叶回来，准备包些棕子，尝个鲜。我这时才感到又一个端午到了。提前吃棕子，让节味慢慢地酝酿，待到节日来临的那一天，节味就会浓的如陈年老酒了;倘若吃着棕子，再能看到龙舟竞赛，听着家乡的龙舟调，再能读一读屈原的《离骚》这一杰作，我想这个节日就更加完美了，因为吃棕子、划龙舟的这些端午习俗的由来还是源于纪念屈原这位中国历史上的伟大的爱国诗人的。

端午，我们一边在品尝着清香的棕子，同时又在品尝着中华民族的悠久灿烂的文化，这种享受让人特别的惬意啊。
