The Giant Panda has a very distinctive black-and-white coat. Adults measure around 1.5 m long and around 75 cm tall at the shoulder. Males can weigh up to 115 kg (253 pounds). Females are generally smaller than males, and can occasionally weigh up to 100 kg (220 pounds). Giant Pandas live in mountainous regions, such as Sichuan, Gansu, Shaanxi, and Tibet. While the Chinese dragon has been historically a national emblem for China, since the latter half of the 20th century the Giant Panda has also become an informal national emblem for China. Its image appears on a large number of modern Chinese commemorative silver, gold, and platinum coins.

The Giant Panda has an unusual paw, with a "thumb" and five fingers; the "thumb" is actually a modified sesamoid bone, which helps the panda to hold the bamboo while eating. Stephen Jay Gould wrote an essay about this, then used the title The Pandas Thumb for a book of essays concerned with evolution and intelligent design. The Giant Panda has a short tail, approximately 15 cm long. Giant Pandas can usually live to be 20-30 years old while living in captivity.

Until recently, scientists thought giant pandas spent most of their lives alone, with males and females meeting only during the breeding season. Recent studies paint a different picture, in which small groups of pandas share a large territory and sometimes meet outside the breeding season.

Like most subtropical mammals, but unlike most bears, the giant panda does not hibernate.

67年来，中国人民与时俱进、开拓创新，走出了属于自己的发展道路，取得了举世瞩目的发展进步。特别是通过30多年改革开放，中国已经成为世界第二大经济体、最大货物贸易国和第三大对外直接投资国，国内7亿多人口摆脱贫困，13亿多人民的生活水平大幅提升。今年初，中国出台了国民经济和社会发展第十三个五年规划纲要，提出创新、协调、绿色、开放、共享五大发展理念，全面深化改革，释放创新动能，助推经济转型升级。这些举措已初见成效。上半年，中国经济增长6.7%，消费对GDP的贡献率超过70%，新增就业700多万，平均每分钟诞生8家创业公司。

目前，中国经济结构在加快调整，新旧动能在加速转换，我们正推进4.0版工业革命，加快供给侧结构性改革，进一步扩大对外开放。我们有信心、有能力保持经济中高速增长，实现从制造大国向制造强国转变，在自身发展的同时为世界带来更多机遇。

中国的发展离不开同世界的深度互动与融合。本月初，二十国集团领导人峰会在中国杭州成功举行，各方一致通过《二十国集团领导人杭州峰会公报》和《二十国集团创新增长蓝图》，制定了《二十国集团全球贸易增长战略》和《二十国集团全球投资指导原则》，发起《二十国集团支持非洲和最不发达国家工业化倡议》和《全球基础设施互联互通联盟倡议》，并首次就落实联合国 2030年可持续发展议程制定行动计划，推动G20从危机应对向长效治理机制转型。这体现出中国参与全球治理的积极姿态和宽阔视野，也凝聚着与会各方的智慧与决心。

今年以来，中阿全面战略伙伴关系取得了不少新进展，两国各界对深化双边各领域合作的热情更加高涨。

中阿政治互信持续加深。G20杭州峰会期间，习近平主席与马克里总统再度会晤，这是两国元首在不到五个月时间内的第二次双边会见，就进一步推动中阿贸易、投资、金融、能源、农业、天文、基础设施等领域合作，深化人文交流、便利人员往来等达成重要共识。近半年来，阿外交、财政、生产、能源、农业、旅游、交通等多位部长及朝野主要政党代表团相继访华，增进了双方互信，并推动各领域务实合作稳步发展。

双边对话机制不断完善。今年6月，中国同阿新政府首轮经贸混委会在北京举行，就深化双边经贸领域合作取得不少成果，其中包括两国互设质检代表处，便利更多阿高附加值特色产品输华。目前，我们正积极推动近期召开两国议会政治对话首次会议，并启动两国企业家论坛。

两国务实合作稳步推进。今年来，中国继续保持阿全球第二大贸易伙伴地位，自阿进口额同比增长13%。这得益于双边贸易产品更加丰富、结构更趋平衡。阿对华牛肉出口占出口总量的35%，中国成为阿牛肉最大进口国。两国水电、铁路、核电等多个旗舰项目稳步推进。中方企业还同布省、科尔多瓦、胡胡伊、查科等多省政府在基础设施、清洁能源、住房建设等领域达成投资合作意向。这体现出双方进一步深化务实合作的潜力。

彼此人文交流更加活跃。目前，阿是接待中国游客最多的南美国家。我们期待双方加快落实旅游签证便利政策，推动双方互访游客人数加速增长。在文化领域，上个月，中国著名钢琴家郎朗第三次访阿，我同数千名阿观众一道欣赏了他的表演，现场热烈的掌声和欢呼让人感受到中阿双方对彼此文化的尊重与倾慕。上周，中国文化周在阿国会启动。未来几个月，中国多个知名艺术团组、展览将相继来阿展演，我们还积极推动明年举办两国旅游年等活动，诚邀大家关注、参与。

各位朋友，

明年是中阿建交45周年，马克里总统也将对中国进行国事访问，两国关系将迎来新的发展机遇。我们希望以此为契机，推动两国全面战略伙伴关系迈上新的台阶。所谓“全面”，即要进一步深化两国政府、议会、政党、地方、企业、民间等全方位交流，推动双方合作向金融、通信、制造、新能源、现代农业、生物技术等非传统领域延伸，形成两国更加全面、均衡、多元的务实合作格局。“战略”，则启示我们就全球经济金融治理、安理会改革、气候变化、可持续发展等重大国际议程密切战略协调，共同维护发展中国家和新兴市场国家的共同利益，提升两国关系的国际影响力。“伙伴”则要求两国推动更多商会、高校、智库、媒体、艺术团体互访，促进彼此人民相知相亲，广播中阿友谊的种子。

马克里总统曾在杭州表示，“发展之路，没有奇迹亦无捷径，应心怀天下，从我做起”。这同中国古谚“千里之行，始于足下”是一个道理。我们愿同阿各界携手前行，共同开创中阿全面战略伙伴关系更加美好的未来。

晚上好!在这个美好的金秋之夜，我们欢聚一堂，共同庆祝中华人民共和国成立67周年暨中立建交25周年。我谨代表中国驻立使馆向各位来宾表示热烈的欢迎，并向所有在立工作、生活和学习的同胞们致以诚挚的节日祝贺!我也愿借此机会，向所有关心和支持中国发展、积极致力于中立友好合作的各界朋友表示衷心感谢。

时光荏苒，中华人民共和国迎来了67周年华诞。67年来，特别是1978年改革开放以来，经过中国各族人民的不懈努力，中国国家建设取得了举世瞩目的成就，实现了经济和社会的跨越式发展。新中国从成立时的积贫积弱，发展到现在的世界第一大贸易体和外汇储备国，第二大经济体和对外投资国。中国的综合国力大幅提升，人民的物质生活和文化生活质量得到极大地改善。当前，中国政府正在坚定不移全面深化改革，深入推进供给侧结构性改革，扎实推动“大众创业、万众创新”，改善收入分配和民生福祉，努力使中国经济保持中高速增长、迈向中高端水平。

2016年，在世界经济继续放缓的背景下，中国经济保持了总体平稳、稳中有进的发展态势。今年上半年，中国经济增速为6.7%。中国依然是世界经济增长的重要贡献者，国际货币基金组织预测今年世界经济增长3.1%，这意味着中国对世界经济增长的贡献率近39%。今年1-8月，中国进出口总额约2.4万亿美元，仍为世界第一大贸易体;城镇新增就业近950万人，几乎完成了全年指标。今年10月1日，人民币将正式纳入国际货币基金组织特别提款权货币篮子，这是中国经济融入全球金融体系的一个重要里程碑。在今年夏天的里约奥运会和残奥会上，中国体育健儿表现出色，向世界展示了中国人民奋发进取的飒爽英姿。本月初，以“构建创新、活力、联动、包容的世界经济”为主题的G20峰会在中国杭州成功举行，峰会就推动世界经济增长达成杭州共识，发表了《二十国集团领导人杭州峰会公报》和28份具体成果文件，这些成果有望使全球经济增长重现活力。9月15日，中国天宫二号空间实验室成功发射，中国航天事业向空间站时代大步迈进。中国的发展进步，让世界为之瞩目，也让每一个中国人为之自豪。

中国的发展离不开世界，同时也给世界带来机遇。中国坚持独立自主的和平外交政策，致力于维护世界和平、促进共同发展。中国政府将坚定走和平发展的道路，继续实施互利共赢的开放战略，愿与包括立陶宛在内的世界各国共同努力，维护世界和平，实现共同繁荣。

女士们，先生们：今年是中国和立陶宛建交25年周年。25年来，中立双方在和平共处五项原则基础上不断发展友好合作关系，为两国人民带来了实实在在的福祉。

建交25年来，中立两国高层往来频繁，政治互信不断加强。立陶宛政府奉行一个中国政策，支持中国的改革开放和经济社会建设，中国政府也始终支持立方为维护国家独立、发展经济所做的努力。过去两年来，两国领导人多次举行富有成果的会谈会见，就深化两国各领域的友好合作关系、加强中国与中东欧国家合作、推动“一带一路”倡议与立陶宛发展战略对接等深入交换意见，达成许多重要共识。今年11月，第五次中国-中东欧国家领导人会晤将在拉脱维亚首都里加举行，中方期待布特克维丘斯总理出席此次会晤，相信中立两国在“16+1合作”框架下的合作将会进一步加强。

建交25年来，中立经贸关系加速发展，合作领域不断拓宽。建交初期，两国几无经贸交往，通过双方的共同努力，如今立陶宛已是中国在波罗的海地区最大的贸易伙伴，中国成为立陶宛在亚洲最大的贸易伙伴。今年以来，立陶宛农产品对华出口取得重要进展，中方已先后批准立水产品和乳制品输华，为立扩大对华贸易、促进两国农业领域的合作打下良好基础。今年6月，2016年中国国际高新技术成果交易会(高交会)立陶宛分会首次在维尔纽斯举行。9月初，立交通部、东西方交通走廊联盟、中国国际货运代理协会和克莱佩达港务局等共同成功举办了“丝绸之路(经波罗的海)连接中国和欧洲”国际会议。“中国纺织服装(欧洲)品牌展”将于明天开始在会展中心举行。多年来，两国工商企业界不断扩大双方在贸易投资、交通物流、农业和高新技术等领域的务实合作，助推两国关系健康稳定发展。

建交25年来，两国人文交流日益频繁，相互了解不断加深。“国之交在于民相亲”。前年和去年，波罗的海三国和中国分别在对方成功举办了波罗的海艺术节和中国文化节。近年来，两国留学生人数逐年增加。今年是中国-中东欧国家人文交流年，中立两国多个艺术团组进行互访和交流演出，均受到热烈欢迎。中国山东省、河南省、广州市代表团等先后访问立陶宛，与维尔纽斯、克莱佩达、考纳斯等积极开展地方交流与合作。两国人文交流和地方合作的不断增加和深化为两国关系发展提供了持续推动力。

回顾中立关系25年的发展历程，我深感上述成果来之不易，这是两国和两国人民同心协力、细心呵护的结果。中方愿以两国建交25周年为新起点，与立方共同努力，不断扩大和深化各领域的互利合作，并利用好中国-中东欧国家合作、“一带一路”建设的机遇和平台，助力两国经济社会新发展，将两国关系推向更高水平，造福两国人民。

来到了泉城广场，鲜花摆成的”国庆”二个字的大花坛先入目眼帘;

到处都是花坛，花香芬芳扑鼻，有黄菊、红菊、小百合……数目多的数不清。

广场上人山人海，几乎挡住了我前方的视线;

人们聚集在小贩旁，买的不止是玩具，而是国旗，他们挥着国旗走着。有的人还在自己的摩托车上插了一个小国旗以表示国庆快乐。小朋友们拿着国旗，跑呀跑，挥呀挥，可高兴了。

快点快点，喷泉要开始了。我脚步加紧，气喘吁吁地跑着。终于我见到了喷泉，它喷的水柱好高呀，足足有4米高。只见水柱冲天而上，形成了一股气流。浪花往上抛，形成几朵盛开的白莲。

喷泉真美。正在我品味的时候，水柱突然下降，不喷了!哎呀，欣赏的太入迷了没有注意到时间到了。

音乐喷泉在普通喷泉表演完后的五分钟开始。人们的脚步开始往音乐喷泉那里走去。广场四周都摆着红旗，连警车上都装上了显示屏，上面显示着“国庆快乐”

听说音乐喷泉因为国庆节，所以多表演5分钟呢!我欢呼着，因为我从没有见过音乐喷泉，这次国庆节给我了一个很好的待遇的机会。

稍等片刻，音乐喷泉开始了。一首英文歌响起，喷泉跟着这首歌的节奏跳起了舞蹈，那婀娜多姿的舞蹈，形成了一朵荷花;人们欢呼着，这喷泉的技术好高，几十个喷头就能体现出一朵荷花。

第二首歌响起了。哎?这不是维塔斯唱的《歌剧》吗?节奏散发神秘气息，喷泉也跟着跳起了神秘之舞;霎时，歌曲里响起了海豚音，水柱瞬间抱住了喷泉中的荷花，像千百条银链拴在荷花上一样。

第三首歌曲响起了，这正是我们熟悉的《茉莉花》，刚才激烈的节奏忽然变得柔和，让人们放松下来。喷头跟着茉莉花的节奏挥舞着，水柱也跟着变换姿势，形成了茉莉花瓣的形状，给大自然添加了无限生机。

最后，喷泉来了一个很高很高的水柱，一下子落下来，水从高出洒下来，洒了人们一身子。谢幕后，喷泉慢慢停下，不喷了。

这就是国庆节的泉城广场。

I will be in the third grade in the next term.Sin ce the highschool entrance examination is coming soon, there is a great need for me to make a precise plan of my studies.

I would like to tell you something that took place in my school yesterday. In the afternoon the school held a growing-up ceremony for our coming 18-year-old birthday. At the beginning we made an oath that as grown-ups we should have a sense of responsibility for our society. Next we expressed our thands to our parents who brought us up and to our teachers for their education. Then our teachers gave us cards with good wishes. Finally, we had wonderful performances. I learned a lot from the activity. I am sure the ceremony is very important for us. From then on we will know our responsibilities as grown-ups.

Nowdays, with the rapid development of the road, cars have been playing an increasingly important role in our day-to-day life. It has brought a lot of benefits but has created some serious problems as well. Traffic safety as the most importent one, is closely related to everybodys business.

This phenomenon exists for a number of reasons . Some of the accidents are due to mechanical problems. As the vehicles in the road become common, the function of vehicles has improved and the speed is getting faster. However, most of them are the results of careless and reckless driving, which could not be avoided. A lot of people disregard traffic signals and rules. They drive regardless of speed limits, run through red lights, drive in the wrong direction, talk and laugh while driving, and turn at will without giving signals. They even dont slow down while approaching crossroads. So many people violate traffic regulations that we cannot put too much emphasis on the importance of traffic safety. Meanwhile, we can not ignore the fact that there are many problems existing in the design. They are all important reasons accounting for this phenomenon.

Some effective measures must be taken to slove this problem. The major cause for traffic accidents is people’s lack of safety awareness. Completing a safety driving education course is a very important way to reduce the number of traffic accidents. The key point for this issue is people’s awareness towards safety. It is a long-term goal rather than a single course for safety driving. The best way to solve the troubles is that we all abey the traffic rules. First, we cant get through red light and must observe traffic order. Secondly, tell our relatives not drive after drinking. Then, we should be care about road damage and inform relevant departments to solve the problems early. Finally, an active part in social activities, protect our order society! Another measure is improving the traffic condition by add traffic signal and other traffic safety facilities。Only when everybody takes traffic safety as their own business, can we achive safe driving and walking on road.

In recent years, the volunteering spirit has spread among the Chinese people, especially among youngsters. According to a survey, in 2008, there were about 1,700,000 volunteers who offered service for Olympic Games. Actually, an increasing number of people become volunteers every year in China.

Volunteering is of tremendous benefits to both those in need and the society. Olympic Games are a good example. As is known to all, volunteers played an active role in Beijing Olympic Games. Without them, it would be a tough task to hold this un-precedent Olympic Games. Therefore, we can say that it was those volunteers who ensured the success of these games.

As modern college students, we should get actively involved in volunteering actions. By participating, we can learn how to work well in a team, how to improve our interpersonal skills and organizational ability. Undoubtedly, all of these are critical for our person growth.
