After eating dumplings, my mother said that I dont have to write my homework today. I can play a day with my brother and sister. I am very happy after I hear it.

The Spring Festival is the most important festival in China. On this day, every family has to eat dumplings, set off firecrackers, put up couplets and hang lanterns, which is the happiest and happiest day of the year.

时光匆匆，转眼间，三年过去，可祖父那严肃而慈祥的笑容还在我面前浮现。

记得四年前的那个寒假，别人在那高高兴兴地看春晚，我却在房间里赶作业，这是为什么呢?因为父亲计划去海南祖父那过年，可他规定我必须写完作业才肯带我去。一个晚上的时间，我将作业全部写完了。于是，第三天，我们就出发了。那应该是我第八次见祖父吧，往常，父亲是暑假送我过去的，那一年，则是去过年。

祖父从来都是很严肃的当我们到他家的时候，他也只是微微吃惊了一下，并没有过多的表情。

听父亲说祖父年轻时当过兵，所以现在就算是九十岁的高龄，也精神得很。在饭桌上，祖父也是不苟言笑，害得我还以为发生了什么大事了呢，吃饭时都不敢发出声响。

在父亲的劝说下祖父带我们去了游乐园，可到了那以后祖父什么也不玩，只是赶着让我们去玩，不久后，我的胆子大了起来，拉着祖父一起去玩，他一开始是不乐意的，后来经不住我闹腾，便跟着我玩，玩了几个项目后，祖父才放开，当我们在坐过山车的时候，我看到了祖父如孩童般的笑容，之后，不用我拉，祖父便带着我走向下一个项目说：“走，我们再去玩。”

之后，祖父总是带着我们去各种地方玩，那个时候，祖父脸上总是洋溢着幸福的笑容，总是用他那严肃而又慈祥的神情给我讲许多关于他当兵时的故事。

从祖父那里我学到了很多，从祖父的故事里，我懂得了许多。三年前，祖父突发心脏病，救治无效，就这样离开了我。

至今，我依然怀念着我的祖父。
