increasing number of people become volunteers in China every year.

Volunteering actions are of tremendous benefits to both those in need and

the society. Olympic Games are a good example. As is known to all, volunteers

played an active role in Beijing Olympic Games. Without them, it would be a

tough task to hold this un-precedent Olympic Games. Therefore, we can say that

it was those volunteers who ensured the success of these games.

As modern college students, we should get actively involved in volunteering

activities. By participating, we can learn how to work well in a team, how to

improve our interpersonal skills and organizational ability. Undoubtedly, all of

these are critical for our person growth. So, we should take this chance to

learn and to grow.

第二天，严格的训练开始了，先是站军姿。“立正，站立五分钟!”教官扯着嗓子向我们吼道。于是，我们双脚并拢，挺胸收腹，双眼平视前方，大家都像电线杆似的笔挺地站在地上，一动也不敢动。短短的几分钟就如同过了几个小时。我的脚渐渐酸软无力，我真想放弃，可是我用余光瞟了瞟四周的同学，他们个个坚定地站着。于是，我心里念着：“坚持就是胜利……”只听教官一声“解散”，我们长长地舒了一口气，终于坚持下来了。

绿色学校的军训生活虽然短暂，但却给我们每一个参训的学生留下了深刻的印象。通过军训，我明白了什么是坚强的意志，什么是团结的力量。在这里，我们锻炼了体魄，磨炼了意志。解放军叔叔的精神将激励着我们在成长的道路上克服一个又一个困难。

because our country is still a developing country and few people can afford

private cars. The demand for a means of transport is met by making millions of

bicycles available.

Riding a bicycle has a lot of advantages over driving a car. First, it is a

physical exercise to ride a bicycle. In contrast, sitting in the car, one tends

to gain weight. Besides, it is much more economical to ride a bike than drive a

car. On the one hand, the only fee a bike-rider has to pay is the annual tax.

However, the annual fees for a car are costly. On the other hand, a bike neednt

be equipped with a parking lot, but a car must. Most important of all, it is

Most people will still ride bicycles to go to work or to school. The emperor

I met a girl called Sue on the Intemet. We are of the same age.she is in France. She is in No.1 Middle School, Class 7, and Grade 9. She can speak English and French. And we talked happily with each other. We can write down what we feel and what we think and then forward to each other. We also try to write in English. She once lived in with her parents, so she can speak native English.

不是我吹，我的优点像天上闪闪发光的星星一样，数也数不清。不信?那就让我举几个例子吧!

爱学习就是我的一大优点。当同学们都跑到操场上跑步、打篮球的时候，我就会从书包里拿出课外书，专心致志地阅读。放学后，同学们都像小兔子一样，蹦蹦跳跳地向家里跑去。而我慢吞吞的，跟蜗牛一样，边走边思考着老师留下的一道题。由于我想得太认真了，没看路，差点儿就撞上了一棵大树，惹得路人捧腹大笑。怎么样，我爱学习吧?

守纪律也是我的一个优点。上课的时候，别的同学常常坐得歪歪扭扭，我却总是端端正正;有的同学还喜欢交头接耳，我却从不和同学说悄悄话;还有的同学喜欢偷吃零食，我却从来没这么做过。下课的时候，我也不会在外面奔跑，从来不违反班级纪律。所以，老师常常夸我是好孩子，是同学们学习的好榜样。

我还有一个优点是脾气好。也因为如此，同学们都喜欢给我起外号。在二年级的时候，就有一个男生给我起外号了。那时候，我气得想追着他打。可是，我忍住了。至今，我的外号已经多得两只手都数不过来了，有露机，菠萝茜，还有《神奇校车》里面的人物，甚至有些我都想不起来了。不过，我也不恼，心里想，反正外号已经多得两个箩筐都装不下了，我就不再追究外号是什么了。有时候，我还跟着他们一起哈哈大笑呢!

其实，我还有很多优点，比如乐于助人，诚信，尊老爱幼等。有空我再和你们说说吧!

成长是一条蜿蜒曲折的道路，走过它的人才明白成长。我们都曾是孩子，但无一例外，我们终将长大，走过那条名为成长的道路。

我小的时候，总是想着快快长大，幻想所谓成长为何物?在我的眼中，最可怕的是考试。对我而言，那是一段天昏地暗，飞沙走石的黑日子。我的考试成绩在一步步地后退，我自认为很努力地学习，但下次考试的成绩却将它击为粉末，我彷徨无助，不知道该何去何从?

当时的我认为已经成长，但我却接受不了接二连三的打击。那天下午，我收拾试卷回到宿舍，思考了我的点点滴滴，我不喜欢自己被当做一个差生，那我就要付出真正的努力以考出成绩。从那时开始，我认真地听课学习，专注做题，在我最差的时候，新来的室友却愿意帮助我进步。在教室里里他耐心地帮我讲题，画出知识点，不厌其烦地问我会不会。我很高兴地认为我如此努力地学习，成绩必将一鸣惊人，但是我却仍只是与原来一样的水平。

在宿舍里，他耐心地开导我并告诉我，成功是需要坚持不懈的，不是仅仅努力了一点就可以直接变为优秀的。他说："成长也是一条蜿蜒曲折的道路，只有你走过才明白它的意义。"我在这次考试中走上成长的道路，心变得更加坚强，我知道我比别人差得很多，所以我需要比别人付出更多的努力，才能超越别人。我拒绝了早恋的诱惑，改掉了学习的坏毛病，端正了学习态度，付出比别人更多的努力，来弥补我欠缺的知识。

我很高兴我能很好地改变自己，虽然我没有在学习上有极大的进步，但它却一直在稳定地取得小小进步。在成长的路上，我们需要劈荆斩棘，强大自己的内心，使自己能够承担更大的责任。我开始走上这条道路，从我承受不住打击开始，我在学习上倍加努力，原来只是想摆脱差生这个称号，但是现在它不仅仅带我领略广阔的世界风采，也带我领略成长的道路。它会带着我面临各种挑战与挫折，它也会带我变得更加坚强与勇敢。

我知道成长是为了让我们变得坚强，因为在人生中，我们将会遇到各种各样的挫折，人生不是一帆风顺的，所以在我们走上成长道路时，面对失败，不要气馁，面对挫折不要害怕。

当我们通过风雨的洗礼，退去那些往日的软弱，越来越坚强的我们知道我们已经成长，成为了一个坚强与勇敢的自己，我们可以骄傲地宣扬我们走过了成长的道路。

因为只有走过才明白其中成长的道路。

Second, appropriately adapt messages to others. It is not enough to be

sensitive and accurately understand others; when your send out your message, you

pick up the best ways and respond to others to achieve your communication goals.

But it does not mean to say something that the listener wants to hear. That

would be unethical. Appropriately adapt messages to others means carefully

editing and shaping your responses so that your messages can be understood by

others and you can achieve your goals.

Last but not least, try to interpret nonverbal messages. As we all know,

unspoken messages can express powerful ideas or emotions with greater impact

than mere words. You should try to observe others facial expressions or

movements and give correct responds to others. You can see the emotions or

attitude from one’s gesture stops. Be sensitive and appropriate interpreting

others.

Most people learn communication rules from experience, by observing and

interacting with others. You can do that too, if you have enough patient and

determinations.
