The environmental issue is getting worse almost every day in cities with very large population. As is often the case, city development outpaces environmental protection. People consume great amount of natural resources and produce wastes. To effectively address such problems, cities need to spend big money. Scientists have developed more effective technologies in waste treatment. As time goes by, more and more people put high priority on the protection of environment for a healthier life.

To sum up, people produce huge amount of garbage and the environment is seriously polluted because of lack of financial resources, sense of responsibility, or efforts. But the world will not turn into a “throw away” society if people put in sufficient efforts to protect our environment.

I am a shy girl, when there is activity in my class, I will run away from it and try to be nobody. But in my heart, I want to be noticed and show my talent. My friend encourages me to take part in the activity, she helps me to finish the task.At last, I become more and more confident and get along with others. 今年暑假期间爸爸妈妈带我去了承德坝上的草原大森林，参观游玩，从远到近看，就像一片绿色的海洋。

我们一直提倡要保护环境，可嘴上说简单，又有哪些人在实际行动中做到了呢？地上不还是到处都是垃圾吗？雾霾不还是存在吗？树木不还是被大肆砍伐吗？保护环境可没有想象中的这么容易。 盛夏的阳光真像蘸了辣椒水，坦荡荡的街上没有一块阴凉地。走在路上，迎面的风似热浪扑来。

夏日炎炎，小鸟不知躲藏到什么地方去了；草木都低垂着头；小狗热得吐出舌头不停地喘气。在这样骄阳似火的天气里，可怜的我还抱着个又大又圆的西瓜，累得口干舌燥，恨不得瘫倒在地上，喝上一大桶水。我拿出一张餐巾纸擦擦大汗淋漓的脸，正想往地上一扔走人，忽然想起老师的教诲：保护环境，人人有责。现在因为人类不爱护环境，造成水土流失，破坏自然和生态环境，还减少了氧气，让二氧化碳极度增加！我打消了那个念头，咬咬牙，把餐巾纸捏在手里，重新挺起绿色“大肚子”。

刚开始还能忍受，没过多久，就受不了了。尽管只是张小小的餐巾纸，但太阳光线灼人，小路烤得发烫，脚踏下去一步一串白烟，手里的餐巾纸都热出水了，更别提手，那叫一个难受啊！

不仅如此，西瓜重达12斤，餐巾纸握在手里也不方便拎啊。我迫切地想要扔掉餐巾纸，但理智战胜了冲动。小玮，保护环境是每个人民的职责，你可不能这么轻易就放弃啊！坚持就是胜利，加油！我暗暗为自己鼓劲。我艰难地挪动着，汗水顺着脸颊流淌。一路上我四处张望，希望发现一个垃圾桶，可惜，连垃圾桶的影子都没看见。真是的，这路上好歹也得装个垃圾桶啊，不然人家在外怎么扔垃圾呢！我愤愤地想。没办法，只能靠自己了。就这样，我凭着坚强的毅力，挪回了家。 一回家，我扔了餐巾纸就倒在地上，吹着凉爽的空调，连水都没力气喝了。虽然又热又累又渴，差点中暑，但我心里还是很开心的，因为那张餐巾纸，体现了我保护环境的精神。我终于当了一次“地球环保小卫士”！

In my opinion, to protect environment, the government must take even more concrete measures. First, it should let people fully realize the importance of environmental protection through education. Second, much more efforts should be made to put the population planning policy into practice, because more people means more people means more pollution. Finally, those who destroy the environment intentionally should be severely punished. We should let them know that destroying environment means destroying mankind themselves.

Today there is more and more pollution and the environment is becoming worse and worse. So we have to know how to protect the environment. Here are some ways.

First, we can stop driving our personal cars. We can go to school or work on foot or by bus. Not only can it protect environment, but also it is good for our health.

Second, we are not supposed to drop litter anywhere, we should put them into the trash bin. And it’s best to pick up the litter on the ground when we see them.

Third, we should save the paper, the water, the food and so on.

Recently we have held a class meeting to discuss what is considered to be honorable behavior and what is shameful.It is really a pity to see all this in our school.Some students don’t respect their teachers or parents. Some don’t take their studies seriously and cheat in exams. Some throw wastes everywhere and pollute the environment . It is honorable to obey the law and rules , care much about our class and study hard.It is shameful to break school rules, to be selfish or to make little effort to achieve success.We should respect others and think more of them than of ourselves.We should work hard and make much more progress to repay the society.We should try our best to keep the environment clean。
