Thanks to our classmates, I experienced such a colorful and interesting Mid-autumn Day at my university. Thus, I learned to value all the festivals I spent during my university life.

在中国,中秋节是家庭团聚的象征。在这一天,所有的家庭成员聚在一起在家里庆祝这特别的时刻。去年,我不能和我的家人庆祝节日,因为我在大学。然而,这个特殊的日子给我留下了深刻的印象。

我还记得那天晚上的气氛。所有的学生不能回家聚集在我们的教室,有一个派对庆祝这个传统节日。我们尝试努力显示自己的热情。作为少数民族,我进行了孔雀舞,热烈的掌声。两小时后,我们去操场,坐在一起欣赏月亮,因为它是一个传统的中秋节。我们吃月饼,打牌,听浪漫的诗就被我们的一个同学。在这种和谐的气氛,没有人感到孤独和想家,即使我们远离家园。

感谢我们的同学,我经历过这样一个多彩和有趣的中秋节在我的大学。因此,我学会了珍惜所有的节日期间,我花了我的大学生活。

Christmas is one of the most important celebrations of the year for the western countries. it falls on the twenty- fifth of december and has the same importance as chinese new year to people with english backgrounds. the celebration is for the birth of jesus christ, who is the son of god in christianity. now days christmas is no longer only celebrated by the christians, but by most people from all over the world.

On the twenty- fourth of december everyone gets excited for it’s the day before christmas which is called christmas eve. the children are usually sent to bed early and are warned that “santa claus will only come and give you a present if you be good.” the younger kids actually believe that santa will come down the chimney on the sleigh that’s pulled by his reindeers. food like short bread and beer are prepared for santa when he comes, however most times parents just eat them. some children put socks and sacks up for the holding of the presents (that their parents put in).

Rise and shine on christmas morning! the children are always the first ones to wake up, some even do at four. present wrappers everywhere! they look into their presents with a big smile on their face and oh dear….i hope no one’s disappointed. i feel sorry for anyone that got pink underwear. children play while dinner is prepared by the adults. the christmas dinner are usually eaten together by relatives. the tradition of christmas pudding and roosters are usually eaten with deserts afterwards. the rest of the day is usually games and fun before the good days all come to an end.

英语，是全世界通用的语言，只要你会说英语，不管走到哪里，就都不用担心受怕了。

我喜欢英语这门学科。最早接触英语的时候是小学三年级，当时学校对这门新开设的功课虽然比较重视，但没有安排单元检测，所以大家上英语课都比较散漫，整个课堂都闹哄哄的，而且我们的老师水平似乎也不高。那个时候，我对英语并不感兴趣。

直到五年级，我们换了一个英语老师，这个新老师长得很漂亮，英语说得很好，我很喜欢她。刚开始，我是因为她的美貌，想让她注意我，才在课堂上认真听讲的。后来，我学进去之后，才发现英语很有意思，也很“好学”，因此，我对英语产生来浓厚的兴趣。

有一回，我在超市买东西，偶然地看到了一个外国人，因为在那之前我从未看到过外国人，所以对她很好奇。金黄色的长发，棕色的眼睛，高挺的鼻子，简直是深深地迷住了我。我那时就一直看着她，当然，我知道这样是很不礼貌的，可是我就是对她充满了好奇心。我很想走过去和她说几句话，可是我又不敢。后来，她好像注意到了我，对我笑了一笑。她这一笑简直是让我欣喜若狂，在那一刻，我就下定决心一定要学好英语，一定要能和外国人流利地交谈。

从此我就经常去找英语老师，向老师了解一些关于外国和英语有关的事。

现在初中了，我还是对英语有浓厚的兴趣。黄老师很亲切，每次看到她，就像是看到老熟人一样。我很喜欢上她的课，有时我都巴不得一整天都上英语课。英语课很轻松，几乎都是洋溢着笑声的。黄老师还能说一口流利的英文，可以完全听懂老外的话，也可以流利地和老外交流，这一点，我特别羡慕黄老师。她是我的偶像，是我的榜样，我要像她看齐（虽然她是我的老师）。

班上很多人觉得我上英语课和外教可很激动，确实，我承认，但这也是我喜欢英语的一种方式。我对英语有一种莫名的喜欢，看到老外，我就像是吃了兴奋一样，就算原本不高兴也会变得很高兴。

上外教课时，我会很认真地听讲，虽然有很多听不懂，老外抽问时，我也都会积极地举手发言，哪怕是回答不了。我也不会觉得丢脸，因为我站起来回答问题，也是给自己的一次锻炼机会，同时也和老外多接触了一次，所以，哪怕是回答不了问题，我也是很开心的。

这个暑假我去看了上海的世博会，我在世博园里大开了眼界，里面有好多的外国人。每看到外国人我都会主动上去邀请他们和我一起拍照。刚开始和老外交流时，我有些害怕，怕自己说不好英语，但是那些热情的外国人个给予了我勇气，让我敢于大声发出邀请，“Can you teke photos with me？”（你能和我一起拍照吗？）当然，在和外国人交涉的时候我也碰过壁，那是在地铁站里，我看到一个外国人，我很开心地看来他一眼，可他却皱着眉头，用不标准的普通话说“不要看我。”这句话让当时的我很是尴尬，因为我从未碰到过这种状况，这次的事，让我注意起对待老外的应有礼节，但这并不影响我对英语的热爱。

从小学到现在，我对英语的热爱是越来越深。

在这里，我想说：“I love English”

古人云：“上有天堂，下游苏杭。”苏州因有星罗棋布的园林而引以为傲，自古便有人云“未能抛得杭州去，一半勾留是此湖。”西湖，是一首诗，一幅天然图画，是一个美丽动人的故事，是天下文人墨客的宠儿。能与“淡妆浓抹总相宜”倾国女子西施相比的，恐怕天下唯有此湖。

游西湖也是有讲究的。有句老话在杭州妇孺皆知：日西湖不如夜西湖，夜西湖不如雨西湖。如此看来，雨西湖在西湖该是最盛。上天眷顾，我在游湖时，便正赶上了一阵蒙蒙细雨。荷花，红了双颊。娇艳中透着轻灵，躲藏在挤挤挨挨挤的荷叶中间“犹抱琵琶半遮面”，又如同怕见生人的少女般娇羞，却姿态万千。映日荷花固然美，却终究也只是美女西施的侍女，远比不让她们的小姐蕙心兰质。

雨后的空气泛着甜润的味道，波色潋滟的湖面笼罩着一层薄薄的水汽，宛若轻柔的面纱般，朦胧了西湖国色天香的美丽容颜。夕阳终于赶在暮色蔓延之前挣出云层，在湖面洒下一片斑驳。湖畔的垂柳掩映着在夕阳下浮光跃金的湖水。如烟般的绿色与夕阳的金色交相辉映，晕得如梦一般。天色渐渐暗了下来。湖面上飘着淡淡的暮色，夕阳的血红从天边淌下，滴到深黛的湖面上。在轻轻的湖风中，柳条轻轻的摇曳着。

“那河畔的金柳，是夕阳中的新娘，波光里的艳影，在我的心头荡漾……”

天黑了，当西湖那沉鱼落雁的容貌就要完全被暮色掩去时，湖对岸的灯光忽然亮了起来，一刹间的一片金碧辉煌令人宛若进入仙境一般。湖水倒影着流光溢彩的夜灯，霎时间如水晶宫般的朦胧而晶莹透亮。不施脂粉的西湖霎时间雍容华贵。

夏夜，月光如流水一般，静静地泻在了湖面上。湖水泛起层层碧波，反射着银色的光辉。柳荫下的青蛙不安分起来，蟋蟀也欢快地弹起琴来。对岸的灯光伴着游船上的灯火轻轻摇曳着，晚风习习，游人在窃窃私语。空气中忽然开始弥漫清幽的香气，静谧之中，恍若听到了荷花绽放的声音……

Since the National Day is coming, I will have a long vacation. I decided to take 5 days from 1st to 5th visiting Beijing. I would like to make a plan first. I will go to Beijing by train because it is safer and cheaper. On the first day, I am going to visit the Summer Palace. On the second day, I will visit the Great Wall. On the third day, I will get up early and go to Tian ‘an Men Square to see the flag rising. Then, I will visit the Peking University and Qinghua University. I am dreaming for entering one of these two universities. On the fourth day, I am going to visit the National Stadium. Last summer holiday, I went to Hainan with my family.The weather was terrfifc! The sky was bule more than I could describe, the sea was blue and bright more than I could believe. Walking by the sea is just like being in the oil painting! We sailed to an island called Xidao. I swam there.Swimming is the sea is quite different from that in a pool. Last weekend I went on an eco-travel with a travel agency. All the way we enjoyed the beautiful scenery and fresh air. But a few of us picked flowers as while going sightseeing. Some even tried to catch the birds they saw. What was worse, many tourists threw rubbish here and there. The rubbish may do harm to wildlife there.

I don’t think this is a true eco-travel. A true eco-travel is a tour that not only allows us to express our love for nature, but needs our responsibility as well. As we enjoy the beauty of nature, we should try our best to protect it. And we should also try to protect wildlife. A true eco-travel should be like this: take nothing away but your good memory; leave nothing behind but all the green trees and the clean water.
