第二天，父亲很早就出门借钱去了。背着父母，我和同村的几个青壮年踏上了到陌生城市的打工路。父亲不知何时来到我们打工工地，原来那天父亲根本没去借钱，而是去打工了。对于我出去打工的事，父亲也一清二楚，同时，父亲让同村的人好好照顾我，有啥事告诉他。后来，父亲也来到离我临近的工地干活，而我却蒙在鼓里。在父亲的呵斥和母亲多次电话的追问下，我不得不结束我的打工生涯回家。

时间过得真快，还有几天，就要开学了，可学费依然遥遥无期。我想，我的大学梦就这样夭折了。

父亲回来了，脸黑了，人也瘦了，腿还有点跛。没等迈进屋就高兴地说：小静的学费终于凑齐了。说着从一个黑色塑料袋里掏出一沓钱，足有万余元。不到一个月时间，父亲怎么能挣这么多钱？在我和母亲的追问下，父亲说出真相。原来在一次干活时，父亲不小心从二楼高的机器平台上掉下，所幸下面是沙子，只是摔伤了腿。经过协商，包工头就给了父亲1万元作为治疗和养伤费用。不过，一位和父亲一起打工的人的说法却和父亲说的大相径庭。他说是父亲故意从平台上摔下来的，因为之前父亲曾向包工头借过钱，包工头没借。就因为怀疑这起事故的真实性，包工头说要找有关部门进行鉴定。按常理，发生这样的事故赔偿至少3万元。可父亲最后答应以一万元了结此事。

开学了，我拿着父亲“辛苦”赚来的血汗钱踏上了求学之路，圆了我的大学梦，我的人生也因此而改变。

Spring is my favorite season. In spring days, everything comes out. While

you are walking outside, your eyes will be filled with green.

In spring days, our world is a sunny place, which is covered with green

trees and colorful flowers, so it can be described as a paradise. Especially

when you are in the countryside, you can see green mountains, vast fields, clean

streams, and all the living creatures, coexisting harmoniously. All of them make

up the most beautiful picture in the world.

In spring days, the sun shines brightly, and theres also some pleasant

breeze. So how charming it is while feeling the spring wind blow us. Its also

wonderful to enjoy the beautiful sunshine. You will also get a lot of

refreshments while having a walk outside.

Now I want to say something about my dream. What is my dream? I often ask

myself. In my mind, everyone shall have his own dream. I think that having a

dream means that we have an idea, and then we will do all the things to achieve

the target. As long as we have a goal to be realized, we won’t be blind at

least.

My dream is to become a successful doctor, helping those sick people and

saving their lives. Of course, to be a good doctor is very difficult, but I will

do whatever I can do to keep everyone healthy. Thats my dream. I want to try my

best to help the poor sick people of our country. I want to let them have an

opportunity to receive excellent treatments for their illnesses without having

to pay much or just enjoy them free. China is a developing country which needs

good medicine and good doctors, especially in the countryside and distant

villages.

Now I’m a junior student on Grade One, all my classmates and I are working

hard. We all know that the entrance exam of high schools coming in the year of

2009 is a big challenge for us, so we must study harder and harder in order to

go to a good high school. Thus after we finish our senior high school, we are

able to go to a good university. Finally, we can find a good job in society.

My dream is also that although at present I’m good at study, I’ll still try

my best to be the study winner. Now everything I do is close to my dream. I feel

life is fill with hope and is colorful, and I have enough confidence to realize

my dream.

I know that fantasy is something hard to realize, but dream can. I’ll work

hard for my dreams, I’ll never give up.

Oceans becoming more acidicThe worlds oceans are slowly getting more acidic, say scientists.The researchers from California say the change is taking place in response to higher levels of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere.The lowering of the waters pH value is not great at the moment but could pose a serious threat to current marine life if it continues, they warn.Ken Caldeira and Michael Wickett, from the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, report their concerns in the journal Nature.Increasing use of fossil fuels means more carbon dioxide is going into the air, and most of it will eventually be absorbed by seawater.

Once in the water, it reacts to form carbonic acid.Scientists believe that the oceans have already become slightly more acidic over the last century.But these researchers have tried to predict what will happen in the future by combining what we know about the history of the oceans with computer models of climate change."This level of acidity will get much more extreme in the future if we continue releasing CO2 into the atmosphere," said Dr Caldeira."And we predicted amounts of future acidity that exceed anything we saw over the last several hundred million years, apart from perhaps after rare catastrophic events such as asteroid impacts."If carbon dioxide release continues unabated, ocean pH could be reduced by as much as 0.77 units, the authors warn.It is not absolutely clear what that means for marine life, however.

Most organisms live near the surface, where the greatest pH change would be expected to occur, but deep-ocean lifeforms may be more sensitive to pH changes.Coral reefs and other organisms whose skeletons or shells contain calcium carbonate may be particularly affected, the team speculate. They could find it much more difficult to build these structures in water with a lower pH.In recent years some people have suggested deliberately storing carbon dioxide from power stations in the deep ocean as a way of curbing global warming.But Dr Caldeira said that such a strategy should now be re-considered."Previously, most experts had looked at ocean absorption of carbon dioxide as a good thing - because in releasing CO2 into the atmosphere we warm the planet; and when CO2 is absorbed by the ocean, it reduces the amount of greenhouse warming.

Today, when I awaked up, I found the air-conditioner didn’t work. I used the control, but it still didn’t work. I knew the air-conditioner was in trouble. I went downstairs.
