So I make up my mind to study hard and pursue learning as much as possible. I’m greatly convinced that knowledge can change my life. Therefore, I often go to the quiet study room where many people study there. By working so hard, I get good grades in the exams.

Secondly, student activities play an important role in our University life. To be honest, the student Union is a good place where one can develop social skills, get his abilities trained. I take part in many student activities. For example, I’ m a volunteer, teaching the kids to learn to dance and write. I think it’s meaningful for everyone to give a hand to others. I can also do some jobs in the Student Union, including receiving and sending fast mail, selling papers and magazines. I think they’re unforgettable and worthwhile experiences for me.

Thirdly, I also visit the library constantly. It’s said that “shelves of books, oceans of knowledge”, so I read books that I’m interested in. In this way, I can share stories with my new friends and it also changes my horizons .When I’m sad, lost or in trouble, staying the library makes me quiet and comfortable. After all, every life has bad moments as well as good ones, and the library for me is a support in bad moments. So it’s wise choice for me to stay in the library.

Finally, I often do other things in my spare time. In order to alleviate parents’ burden, I often do some part-time jobs and write some articles to earn money. It helps me to be independent and improve my social skills.

In short, my life in university is busy but valuable. You can see that study brings me knowledge, student activities improve myself, library changes my horizons, the others things make me independent. They get all my abilities trained. And I see that the chance will come only if you have a prepared mind, so I’m sure that I can achieve my dreams in University life.

It is believed in common that beauty exists everywhere on the campus as long as you have an eye for it. Some people hold that natural scenes, especially at dawn, are the most beautiful on the campus while others believe that it is in the afternoon when the playgrounds are flooded with students taking part in sports.In my opinion, the best scene on the campus is during the rush hour when thousands of students rush towards the canteen.

At precisely the same time as the bell rings, some students dash from the chairs, rushing to the canteen. They set the prelude to the most attractive scene of the whole day.

Within a few minutes, all the classrooms become empty and everyone starts their journey for lunch, on foot or by bike. It gives people the impression that lunch is the most important thing in the world. Most of the students move at the same speed,with the exception of several excellent cyclists. On the way to the canteen, everyone looks anxious. But once inside, a look of pride and triumph takes over. I have been studying in this school after I completed my primary education last year. This school is quite far away from my home town, so I have to stay in the hostel. I also have to learn how to be more independent in my study as well as taking care of myself. Fortunately, my teachers are very helpful and my classmates are very friendly. I have made a lot of friends and I have joined many activities such as table tennis and singing. These activities keep me occupied and help me to relax. However, I still miss home. I was so happy this morning when I heard from our form teacher that our parents would be allowed to visit us during the coming holiday. I shall study hard so that my parents will feel proud.

Do you want to know what I did during the winter vacation? Well, on the first week, I did my homework,surfed the Internet,played computer games and watched TV.

On the second week, I helped my parents with housework, so I did the dishes, washed lots of my parents` clothes and helped them take out the trash.

On the third week, I chatted with my girl friend on cell phone(手机) and we both had a good time.I had a happy winter holiday! So how about you?

My university life has been one of the most colorful parts of my life. I will never forget the day when I first stepped into the university. I was a volunteer as well as a disseminator of our splendid culture. There was no doubt that I came across many difficulties at first, such as humid weather, language barriers and so on. Today is the last day of the winter vacation, I think it should be a review of the harvest of this winter vacation.

Shortly after the winter vacation, my brothers are coming back from the field. Brother in Beijing University, now working in Beijing; cousin now working in Nanning, served as a photographer; small cousin last year to participate in college entrance examination, because the result is not very good, so not admitted to, now in Hezhou City tutorial, holiday back. When they came back, I told them to learn a lot of knowledge, play very happy! 这些对于习惯了高中生活的我来说，都感觉难以适应。也许所谓的无拘无束的大学生活仅仅只是指没有了繁重的作业，没有了从早到晚的满满的课，没有了老师逼迫的自习……可是，于此同时，我们的课程也变得更难了，不是么？没有了老师的监督，我们又是否自觉了呢？如果没有将专业学好，我们的理想又要怎么办呢？其实，因为这样的自由，大学对我们的自身要求变得更高了，需要我们更努力地去学习、去奋进。

但是，不得不承认的是，大学这一年的生活也让我收获了很多快乐。

第一次走进这个陌生的校园，感觉好大、好美，月牙湖、凉亭、柳树、花朵……俨然错落有致，似乎是来到了一个精心设计的花园，虽没有水榭，亦没有楼阁，但是，一水一树一倩影，足矣。怀着欣喜的心情，我开始尝试着去体验身边的新鲜事物。

In my understanding， if we refer to an ideal college life as a formal western dinner， then a high GPA， that is， Grade Point Average， should be the main course， while an active part in activities， together with associations， means the appetizer。 Some romances， of course， play the role as desserts。 They are the 3 key elements for an ideal college life。

Those， however， are not what college life is all about。 As we all know， college is wildly different from middle school。 It connects not only adolescence to adulthood， but also the ivory tower to the real society。 Therefore， the ideal college life is that I become matured both physically and mentally， and that I obtain qualified academic knowledge and get well prepared for society at the same time。
