about the origin and customs of Chinese festivals. The reason why I like this

book is that when it introduces the calendar of festivals, it always tells a

My favorite article is called "Chongyang climbing, drinking with dogwood.".

This article is about the origin of the Double Ninth Festival. It is said that

there was a pestilence devil in Zhuangnan of the Han Dynasty, which was

is a man named Huanjing in Zhuangnan county. Because Huanjings parents died in

the hands of the pestilence devil, Huanjing wanted to kill the pestilence devil

mountain and eat people. Huan Jing stopped him, so they fought together. The

smell of Cornus and dogwood is not stable for a few rounds. He raised a knife

from the mountain. The plague devil was removed, and the people in Nancheng

finally lived a comfortable life. Since then, in order to commemorate September

9, people have designated September 9 as the Double Ninth Festival. On this day,

Chinese New Year or Spring Festival is the most important of the traditional Chinese holidays. It is sometimes called the "Lunar New Year" by English speakers. The festival traditionally begins on the first day of the first month (Chinese: 正月; pinyin: zhēng yuè) in the Chinese calendar and ends on the 15th; this day is called Lantern Festival. Chinese New Years Eve is known as chú xī. It literally means "Year-pass Eve".

Chinese New Year is the longest and most important festivity in the Lunar Calendar. The origin of Chinese New Year is itself centuries old and gains significance because of several myths and traditions. Ancient Chinese New Year is a reflection on how the people behaved and what they believed in the most.

Celebrated in areas with large populations of ethnic Chinese, Chinese New Year is considered a major holiday for the Chinese and has had influence on the new year celebrations of its geographic neighbors, as well as cultures with whom the Chinese have had extensive interaction. These include Koreans (Seollal), Tibetans and Bhutanese (Losar), Mongolians (Tsagaan Sar), Vietnamese (Tết), and formerly the Japanese before 1873 (Oshogatsu). Outside of Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan, Chinese New Year is also celebrated in countries with significant Han Chinese populations, such as Singapore, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Thailand. 这次新年，我的第一个愿望是可以去深圳见一见老同学，想让他们知道，这些年，我无时无刻都在想着他们，可是，每次去到深圳，我都会触景生情，泪水会不由自主的落下，深圳，已经没有了他们的影子，每次，看到我们曾经一起嬉戏过的学校，风吹落叶的感受……所以，现在我每天祈祷，能见一见他们，虽然，我知道，我很有可能见不到他们了，虽然我只能徘徊在学校门前，虽然我只能在广场发呆，为什么这么小小的愿望都不能让我实现呢，我希望，在这个新年，我一定要好好的过……新年的心愿，我相信我的愿望一定会实现的，只要心没有距离，就算距离再远，也无法打扰我们之间的感情……新年的心愿一定会实现，加油……

今年，我和妈妈一起陪爸爸和部队的叔叔们一起过年。早晨，爸爸妈妈从超市买来了许多的菜，准备晚上一边看春节联欢晚会，一边

吃火锅、聊天。以往的春节，我是和爷爷奶奶、外公外婆一起过的，虽然今年见不到他们，但是我还是很快乐，因为妈妈正在准备年夜火锅，那个香呀！让我这个小馋猫想立刻穿越时光隧道来到晚上，好吃上美味的火锅，看上令人期待的春节联欢晚会。

在电视房里，早已放好了餐桌，大厨妈妈也正忙着准备诱人的食物，那可真不愧是香飘十里呀！幽幽的卤肉香飘过小树林，钻进了我的房间，浸入了我的心田。虽然我在房间里写作文，但是我的心早已飞向了电视房。我不由得许了一个愿——希望今天太阳公公可以早一点儿落下山，美丽的夜晚可以早一点儿来临！

听妈妈说，她和爸爸一共买了1000多元的食物呢！我激动万分，因为新的一年即将来临，新年新气象！希望能把所有的叹息，所有的悲伤，一齐投入季节的熔炉，铸出一个金色的希望，愿每一个人在新年都能梦想成真，万事如意，愿每一个人在生活中春满园，夏宜人，秋收获，冬温暖！

而我的家，一年多来却只有此时才整正相聚在一起。虽然每逢大的节假日我和妈妈会不辞辛劳地坐火车、赶飞机去和爸爸见上一面，却都是来去匆匆的。每每见到爸爸，要么是凌晨，要么是午夜，而爸爸总是第一个抚摸我的头，捏我耳朵的那个人。相聚的日子里，爸爸总是满足我的任何要求，哪怕近乎苛刻的要求，对我也几乎是百依百顺。我明白，爸爸是想弥补他常年不在家的亏欠，他只有通过这种方式来表达他对我的爱。这一点，看似愣愣的我，其实是懂得的。想到这里，窗外已经是万家灯火，看着爸爸妈妈边说边笑忙碌的身影，一股暖流遍布了我的全身。

人们都说，瑞雪兆丰年。虽然上海没有下雪，但是，在记忆的雪中，埋藏着我对朋友们的关爱，默默的关注与无声的祝福。朋友们，祝你们在新年来临之际，心想事成，万事如意，新春快乐，幸福美满！虽然我们远隔千里，但是我们的心在一起，彼此祝福必定会带给你们无限的欢乐和幸福感！

度过了快乐的201x，我们迎接新的一年——201x年。在每一年中，我们都有纯真美好的心愿，而这一年，我也不例外。在这新一年里，我的心愿是：考上重点中学！

我是六年级的学生了，下一年，我就会升上初一。这一年，我心怀忐忑，我的心愿，既是父母的期盼，又是碍于面子的我的心愿。我们这的重点中学是“董明光中学”。能考上这所中学的人都被人们统称为“很会学习的人”。能考上这所中学的话，我既能赢回面子，又不会让老师父母失望，还为自己的一生搞好基础，打下底。哎！想想都流口水了。这是多美好啊！

可是不能光想，也要用实际行动来实现这一年的心愿啊！我会为自己制定计划：首先，肯定是打好精神，每天早上六点半起床，晚上九点睡觉；第二，及时完成作业，再做其他的练习。我会放学好马上写作业，再填其他有益于学习的练习。第三，安排好时间。这么多事，不安排好时间怎么行呢！第四，预习周到，复习周到。我一定要在教新课前认真预习，才能透彻句子内容，体会主人公所表达的感情。复习时理解句子内容，读课文，看例题；第四，晨读。每天早上六点半起床，拿起课本，一个字一个字的读，认真的读，发音清楚。

呼，我一定要好好实行，看看都累了。不过，为了我的心愿，为了我的亲人，为了我的一生，豁出去了！加油！

I have been getting along with you for four years. When I first came into

this campus, I was still a little girl. You taught me how to learn and how to be

a person. I remember that I got the first full mark in the Chinese test in grade

one. Your encouraging words and affirmative eyes have made me unforgettable.

Since then, I have determined to be a good student with both good character and

learning.

Mr. Shan, I know that my handwriting is not good. Every time I see you

annotate "write carefully" at the end of your homework, I feel very ashamed.

This winter vacation, I set a goal for myself to practice calligraphy for an

hour every day. Do you know what? I have written the words in the fourth grade

Chinese textbook three times and practiced each word 12 times, so as not to let

you worry about my words any more.

2016年，新的一年来到了，我们也要有一个新的人生目标，一个新的愿望，在这一年里，我有两个愿望。第一个愿望是想在新的一年里学习进步，考一个理想的成绩。因此，在学校里，我应该认真听老师讲课，做到每天复习，预习的好习惯。当遇到不会的题时，应该勤问问老师，把题弄悔，而且还要把每天的错题整理一遍。第二个愿望是希望父母身体健康，年轻气爽，在新的一年里有一个好的精神。那么，就应该好好学习，少让父母为我们这些淘气的孩子操心，有时间，多帮父母做一些力所能及的家务活。在父母累的时候，帮父母捶捶背，在父母寂寞的时候，陪父母聊聊天，让父母感受到我们这些儿女给他们的温暖。

The Spring Festival is coming soon, I feel so excited, my parents will be home and get together with me. They are busy all the time and have less vacation, they told me that they would have 7 days off and promised to stay with me. I have made some plans for the coming festival and I can’t wait to carry them out.

At the eve of the Spring Festival, my parents decide to go back to my grandparents’ house, we will spend the important day together. It has been three years since we get united last time, I miss the happy atmosphere, we talked so happily. I also miss my grandparents’ food, it is so delicious, my grandma always knows how to satisfy my stomach.

在春节的前一天，我的父母打算回到祖父母的家里，我们会一起度过重要的一天。这离我们上次相聚已经有三年了，我很怀念那愉快的氛围，我们聊得很开心。我也怀念祖父母的食物，那很美味，我的祖母总是知道如何满足我的胃口。

I plan to go to the park with my parents, as they are busy all the time, so they want to play with me in this holiday. I can see the beautiful scenery and have a nice talk to my parents, we can challenge some game together.

我打算和我的父母一起去公园，由于他们总是一直很忙，因此他们想要在假期里和我一起玩耍。我可以看到美丽的风景，和父母愉快地聊聊天，我们也可以一起挑站游戏。
