causes cultures to change， and eating patterns invariably reflect new

influences.

In the 20th century， few people have the time to go home for lunch， and

many city dwellers find themselves in need of grabbing a bite to eat in a place

close to their offices. As a result， the popularity of fast food and takeaway

food has risen . In many urban areas， people who traditionally ate their main

meal at midday now enjoy it in the evening， after work.

Changing eating patterns have an effect on other aspects of society. Meals

have traditionally been times when members of a family catch up with each other.

Fast food and quick meals sometimes threaten such family get-together.

In China, Mid-autumn Day is considered to be a symbol of family reunion. On

this day, all the family members gather together at home to celebrate this

special occasion. Last year, I could not celebrate the festival with my family

because I was in university. However, this special day left a deep impression on

me.

I still remember the atmosphere of that evening. All the students who could

not go back home assembled in our classroom, having a party to celebrate this

traditional festival. We tried our best to show our own enthusiasm. As an ethnic

minority, I performed a peacock dance, which received warm applause. After the

two-hour party, we went out to the playground and sat together to appreciate the

Thanks to our classmates, I experienced such a colorful and interesting

Mid-autumn Day at my university. Thus, I learned to value all the festivals I

spent during my university life.

After seeing so many movies about the youth, we are starting to wonder

about what do we have in our youth, the fight, the drink or the love? My answer

is no. What we see from the movie is not true, the plots are exaggerated and

misunderstood. For students, their youth is the process of fighting. They have

studied so hard to realize their dreams. When they are in primary school, they

want to do well and make their parents be proud of them. When they are in middle

school and high school, they need to take part in the exams so as to enter the

better future schools. Even they are in college, they still need to study and

fight for the ideal job. There is no doubt that most people keep fighting for

their future and this is the memory of youth.

The first snow came. How beautiful it was, falling so silently all day

long, all night long, on the mountains, on the meadows, on the roofs of the

living, on the graves of the dead! All white save the river, that marked its

course by a winding black line across the landscape; and the leafless trees,

that against the leaden sky now revealed more fully the wonderful beauty and

intricacies of their branches. What silence, too, came with the snow, and what

seclusion! Every sound was muffled, every noise changed to something soft and

musical. No more tramping hoofs, no more rattling wheels! Only the chiming of

This is our school library . It s openfrom 8:30 to 11:30 in the morning

and from 1:30 to 4:30 in the afternoon . It s not verylarge . It has only

three assistants and about two thousand books . The assistants are friendly and

the books are interesting . So we often come here after class . From thelibrary

, you can borrow two books at a time , and keep them for two weeks . In its

reading room , there are tables and chairs . There you can do your homework or

read the magazines .

On January, 2013, the public started a campaign called Clean Your Plate. This campaign aims to call on people to save food instead of wasting anything on the plates. The main theme of this activity is do not waste any food, starting with me. This campaign was first started from Sina weibo. Just a few days, tens of thousands people in China have joined in this meaningful activity.

In my humble opinion, everybody should join in this campaign. As we all know, the Chinese traditional virtue is to be thrifty even we are live in a better life. According to the latest survey, more than 50 million tons of food is being dumped in China every year. This wasted food can feed about 200 million people for a year. The old generation usually appreciates the leftover, if there is any food in the plate, they will eat them up; while the younger generation will dump the leftovers into the dustbin, they rather spend the money on other food instead of eating leftovers. I think such behavior is not only waste of food and money, but also broadcast the wrong idea that wasting food is acceptable. People should come to realize the importance of saving food. The governments should also take measures to reduce food wastage and encourage people to eat at home. What’s more, people should put an end to the expensive feasts and banquets.

I think this campaign should be moving on. Saving food for our offspring is everybody’s responsibility. Even if you’re a wealthy man, you still need to eat up the food on your plate. Waste is not a good habit.

I have a big family, there are seven people in my family, my mon, dad, two grandpas, two grandmas and me. My dad is soldier, he works in police station. My mom works in the bank, she is an accountant. They both are very busy in working, I can only play with them in the weekend. My grandpas and grandmas dont work for company, but they are volunteers and often take me to do the voluntary labor.

I am in Grade three in Yuanling elementary school, my mom always tells me I am a good girl and should study hard and get along well with all my classmates.

In the weekend or holiday, my family often go out for travelling or other things, I feel very happy with all the members and love them very much.

Nowadays, more and more people realize the harm of smoking and the damage

it bring to the people around us. Considered the health of people themseves and

the one they care, many smokers try their best to give up smoking. When quiting

smoking, I have some suggestions. First of all, people should have strong will

on giving up smoking. Personal determination is the most important factor. When

feeling eager to smoke, people should think about the damage of smoking and the

people they love. And then they can strengthen their will not to smoke.

Secondly, sweep away all the cigarette around. They can’t find any cigarette

when they want to smoke. And then after a while, their wants for smoke will

reduce gradually. Last but not least, prepare some candies in the pocket, when

people want to smoke, eat candies instead. Hope every smoker succeed in the

end.

Day, night, and finally ushered in the long-awaited summer vacation. In

these two months, can"t play games every day! Besides, even if I think so, mom

and dad are certainly can"t promise. Only done to make them more satisfied, my

freedom is a bit more, this summer vacation will have a more pleasant. Combined

with the requirements of the teacher and I wish mom and dad, have a preliminary

arrangement.

Important to save water

Water is a kind of liquid. It has no taste or smell. It is transparent, too. Water is useful and is important to us. Why? For example, we use water to water the plants. We use water to wash our face or to have a bath. We drink water or we will die…Water is also very important for China. There are 2.8 hundred millions of steres of water in China, but everyone can only use 2300 steres. It is only twenty–five per sent in the world.

Not too long ago, there was a man called Jacques Cousteau. He loved the beautiful colors, and the beautiful fish in the sea. However, when he returned some years later, the colorful coral reefs were dead and grey because the factory near the sea poured waste water into the sea. Jacques Cousteau decided to tell people how important it was to save the environment under the sea. He started the“ Cousteau Society ” to help protect life in the sea. Now there are over 30000 members all over the world. Since water covers most of the earth, Cousteau knew that we should keep the sea clean. We should not litter the sea, and should clean up the dirty parts. As water is very important to our environment, he encouraged everyone to take part in protecting our lakes, rivers, sea and ocean.

There are still a few people who are not protecting the water now in the world. For example, some factories pour waste things into the rivers, lakes or into the sea near by. The water there has become very dirty and we can’t use them at all. Although there are seventy–five per sent of water in the world, we can only use fresh water, that there is only a little. So we should use little water when we need to use it. For example, I do not use too much water when I am washing my face or having a bath… It is important for us to keep the water clean. You may ask yourself, have I ever poured or thrown dirty things into the water? If your answer is “No”, that means you have already helped to protect the environment. It is our duty to protect the environment. You may ask yourself again, have I ever helped to clean up the water? If your answer is “Yes”, that means that you have already done something useful to improve the water. If we use up all the water, it is difficult for us to get it from anywhere, including the universe. It is terrible to think that people are too thirsty to live! I believe, that if everyone helps to protect the water, the water must be protected. You do not want to “kill” your son or your grandson, do you? So now let us to protect the water! We watched a movie called "the harm of haze", which mainly explained how

terrible haze is.

Haze passed through our bodies, just like games. It comes to the blood

Now I dare say : My dream is that Ill be admited to Qinghua

University.when I was a child, I had heard the highest school Qinghua. The words

often drives my heart. I keep it away for eleven years . However, I am almost

make it come true, because Im not good at studying subjects, my math ,my

English, my Chinese and my mixtrue subjects are not good. So, when I come to

classroom I often sit there and became sad. I think I have worked hard for two

years in the Siner School. But ,all of things arent change quickly. Where is my

seed and where is my gains, but it may be the time . Now, I have been in the

Senior three, and Ill face the case of going to university. Although the case

is so terrible , I have nothing to treat it. I often cry with the reason that

why I am always in trouble. but as the increcs of age , I know that cry is no

use , so I became studying. So, when I came into the Senior Three, I have been

felling myself to change mind to it is that studying is an important thing. If

you want to be good at it , you must finish the studying quickly and correctly

in a sure time, and the most important is that you must know the book well and

understand every rule and after that you may do some practice to improve your

testing cile .At last you must review them ,because the peoples brain is

limited , and it will make you forget all of you have studied it .

Yesterday, after a long meeting in the class, all the students had been

told about the safe issues, then the summerVacationfinally came. All of us

felt so happy and liked a free bird, rushing to home quickly. I had been looking

forward to this holiday for such a long time, I really needed to take some rest

after studying for a semester. I have made some plans for my summer vacation.

First, I wanted to spend some time to stay with my grandparents. I miss them all

the time and they always tell me to visit them when I have the time. My grandma

will cook the delicious food for me. Second, I want to read some books I like,

such as the fiction books. I don’t have much time to read fiction books because

I have to focus on my study. Summer vacation provides the time to adjust

myself.

Everyone has their own dreams， I am the same. But my dream is not a lawyer， not a doctor， not actors， not even an industry.

Perhaps my dream big people will find it ridiculous， but this has been my pursuit! My dream is to want to have a folk life! too late to pursue. People always take the age as the excuse, actually, they

lack of persistence, which differs them from successful men.

Autumn is the third season in the year. It lasts from September to

November. When the autumn comes, the leaves begin to turn yellow and then fall.

The weather becomes cool. It makes people feel comfortable. So many people like

autumn and enjoy this season. Besides, autumn is a season of harvest. The crops

turn to rip. Farmers are busy with the harvest. And they begin to prepare for

the winter and the New Year.

Today, with the development of Internet, many traditional ways of life have

been changed, especially the way to pay for purchase. The record of credit

occupies important role for everybody, and they need good credit to get loan, so

as to start their business or buy a house. We have come to the age of

credit.

There is a very classic example about the importance of credit. A Chinese

man took the train in Europe. He found no one checked the ticket, so he just

skipped the ticket. He thought he had saved the little money, but when he came

to the bank and wanted to get the loan, he got rejected, because his record of

credit showed he had skipped the ticket, which made him the unreliable man.

The record of credit is the main basis when people asked for loan. The

Two years ago, I was a bad child, I didn’t listen to what my parents told

me, I do against what they expect me to do. One day, I go home very late, my

mother is very angry, but she says nothing. At first, I feel happy, the next

morning, she still ignores me, I begin to feel lonely, I cry and say sorry. My

mother smiles and says I should change myself, since then, I become a good

child.

There are many festivals in a year, I love Children’s day, because on that

day, I can have many candies from school. In the school, i will play many games,

there will be no class on Children’s day, everybody will have fun. Children’s

day is my favorite day, the day belongs to me. I enjoy that day so much. My

parents will also celebrate it for me.

When you were born, you need to face the ups and downs in our life. For

example, you need to learn to speak, learn to walk, learn to write, learn to

read, and so on. Whenever you learn a new thing, you will be always full of joy.

But the hardness only you know. Perhaps, you have thought about giving up, but

in the end you insist on. In this world, there is no difficult, only those who

do not adhere to. As long as you can hold on, thats not a thing. Perseverance

prevails! This is the eternal law! Come on.

As important as Spring Festival .It is usually celebrated in September or

October. This festival is to celebrate the harvest and to enjoy the beautiful

moon light. To some extent, it is like Thanks Giving day in western countries.

On this day, people usually get together with their families and have a nice

meal.

After that, people always eat delicious moon cakes, and watch the moon. The

moon is always very round on that day, and makes people think of their relatives
