Throughout history man has changed his physical environment in order to improve his way of life. With the tools of technology he has altered many physical features of the earth. He has transformed woodlands and prairies into farms and made lakes and reserviors out of rivers for irrigation purposes or hydroelectric power. Man has also modified the face of the earth by draining marshes and cutting through mountains to build roads and railways.

However, mans changes to the physical environment have not always had beneficial results. Today, pollution of the air and water is an increasing danger to the health of the planet. Each day thousands of tons of gases come out of the exhausts of motor vehicles. Smoke from factories pollutes the air of industrialized areas and the surrounding areas of the countryside. The pollution of water is equally harmful. The whole ecological balance of the sea is being changed and industrial wastes have already made many rivers lifeless.

Now environmental protection is more pressing than ever before. As we know, massive destruction of environment has brought about negative effects and even poses a great threat to mans existence. Indifference to these problems will mean committing suicide. Therefore, effective measures should be taken and laws passed to conserve environment. Otherwise,man is certain to suffer from the serious consequences caused by this lack of care for his living surroundings.

对付节约水资源，我还有一条“妙计”啰!现在经济好转，家家户户都安装了空调，你是否也有想过空调的水也可以节约呢?每晚，在空调下放一个大桶，起床后，你往桶里一瞧，你会惊奇的发现空调的水竟然把大桶装满了，估计有几公斤呢!它可以用来冲厕所啊!这不也是可以节约水吗?我们平时用的洗菜水可以把它留下，用来浇花，冲厕所;洗衣机第2、3次排的水也可以留下，用来冲洗地板;还有拖地板的水，可别小看它，它一样可以冲厕所哟!为了保护水资源，我还想提议如下几点建议：1.充分利用水资源，不浪费。2.不向江、湖、河、沟排放废水、垃圾。3.不要在沟边洗脏衣服。4.向周围的人宣传“保护水资源”。

水是生命的摇篮，是任何生物赖以生存的东西。人们啊，不要只知道不断索取，而不懂得去珍惜，甚至污染和破坏。我们头顶一片蓝天，脚踏一块土地，让我们共同行动起来，保护水资源!

I believe the school environment protection are important because students need a quiet and pollution-free environment to study. What we need to do in order to maintain our clean and neat environment to our students? First, we will need to have giant garbage can around each corner. Second, we will need to have school policies regarding littering and spits on the ground, where students and teachers would be fine if they violated the school policies. Third, we also will need to have garbage cans in classrooms, school main entrance, back door, parking lots, basketball court, ect. 1、 要从自己做起，做到不和别人一起破坏水资源。还要从家庭做起，让家人了解到破坏水资源的危险，让他们也不破坏水资源。还要让别人跟你一样保护水资源。

2、在家中用水要勤俭节约。洗完菜的水不要倒掉，还可以用来浇水、浇花等。还要让家长在工作单位上也节约用水。不要以为工家的水就可以浪费了。这是不正确节约水的表现。也是不负责任的表现。

3、如果见到有人故意破坏水源，应勇敢的向他劝说，并说明破坏水源会给我们带来极大的危险。而且让他以后要保护水资源。遇到劝阻不听的，并且情节严重的，要直接报告有关部门，用法律来惩罚他们。

4、在学校里，我们要做同学们的榜样，做同学们的表率。让同学们也有保护水资源的责任感。像拖地的时候，同学们在冲拖把的时候，浪费水极多。如果这样浪费，得浪费很多水呀!应该在冲拖把的地方设立两个水池，一个是冲脏物，一个是清洁的。同学们在拖完地时，上面有许多脏物，先到冲脏物的水池里把脏物冲掉。在到清洁的地方冲干净。这样就节约了不少水既节约了水，又把拖把冲干净了，真是一举两得!

为了了解小学生对生活用水的来源知道多少，都做过哪些环保的事？2017年的暑假我做了一项调查，调查的对象是圣荣小学四年级三班的同学。在调查中我发现同学们虽然知道生活用水的来源是水库、自来水公司，但是大都不知道现在的水库存水情况；而且同学们都能自觉的节约用水，环保的意识也很强。
