Perhaps few of the millions of dogs in the world may be so heroic, but they are still a source of genuine delight to their owners.

A dog fits easily into family life. It thrives on praise and affection. When a master tells a dog that it is good, the animal happily wags its tail. But when a master scolds a dog, it skulks away with a sheepish look and with its tail tucked between its legs.

People in the city as well as those in other areas can enjoy a dog. Medium-size or small dogs are best suited for the confines of the city. Large dogs need considerable exercise over a large area.

Dogs are not always well thought of, however. In recent years dogs in the city have been in the center of controversy. Some people have criticized dog owners for allowing their pets to soil sidewalks and lawns, although in some cities laws oblige owners to walk their dogs along street curbs. They have delivered messages, herded sheep and cattle, and even rescued persons trapped in the snow. Dogs have served as a source of food, too. The ancient Romans are said to have prized certain kinds of dog stew. The Aztecs of ancient Mexico raised tiny dogs, thought to be the forebears of the chihuahua, to feed the large carnivores in the private zoos of the Aztec rulers. In the past dogs have even been worshiped as gods. Recently, they have been used in drug research, medical experimentation, and space science. Soviet scientists launched dogs into space to test the ability of mammals to survive the rigors of space travel before people were sent up.

Dogs are trained as guard dogs in peacetime by the United States Army and other military services. Because of their keen sense of smell, dogs are used by police at times to track down escaped prisoners. Law enforcement agencies also rely on the dogs acute sense of smell to uncover illegal drugs. my point of view, the wild animals were protected effectively still has a long

Firstly, people should try harder to make a better place for animals. The

land where the wild animals live was deprived by human being. For hundreds

years, people cut the trees to make land for their living and farming, wild

animals homeland was took, they have no choice but run away. What is more,

human beings break the food link in nature; wild animals can not find enough

food to keep alive. There is no doubt that the destruction of nature has become

a big problem to kill wild animal, for instance, a polar bear was starved to

death because of the greenhouse effect, the ice was melt away, the seadog and

fish that polar bear like to eat are far away from them. For those reasons,

people should protect the environment first if they want to protect wild animals

effectively.

Second, no buying, no killing. Some rich people like to wear fur coat, they

treat it as a status symbol, especially for rich woman, they think animal fur is

beautiful and warm, they will never consider that the fur they wear for years is

the skin that animal wear for their whole life, and they knew how bloody when

people took the fur from animal but they choose to ignore it. If people do not

buy the fur and tooth, lots of wild animals will be survived.

In sum, wild animals are our friends, we should give back and protect their

homeland, and stop buying their body part, or our future generations will see

them in zoo and museum.

人们总是认为水是“取之不尽，用之不竭”的，事实上中国的水资源十分紧缺，人均水资源只有世界平均水平的四分之一。但是在这种条件下，日常用水中还存在着相当严重的浪费现象，比如在用水的时候去开门、接电话，刷牙、洗手后不关水龙头等等，据专家分析，这种不起眼的不良习惯造成了相当大的浪费，只要改制这些不良习惯，就能节水70%左右。另外污染也造成了水资源的浪费，听说现在许多地方的河流、湖泊受到了严重的污染，使得人们生活用水受到威胁，非常可怕，我的内心久久不能平静。

为了节约用水，我制订了家庭节水计划，决心“节约水资源从我做起”，要养成随手关龙头的好习惯，不玩水，洗脸水用过后可以洗脚，然后冲厕所，提醒妈妈，洗米煮面水可以洗油碗等等。

为了家园，为了我们自己，为了造福子孙后代，保护环境，人人有责，刻不容缓!

Hello, everyone. I’m am a student in No.1 Middle School. I’m very proud that I have been chosen to speak to you all today.How to protect/save our environment/world?

The environmental pollution is worse and worse /more and more seriously today. Water is polluted ,we have no clean water to drink Many trees are cutting down, some animals is getting less and less.Some factories is poring dirty air in the sky , the population is increasing faster and faster ,resources is getting less and less…etc. Not only does it affect our lives and health, it also has a great affection in the future.

The first fact I worry about is noise pollution. People can"t sleep well if there is too much noise. That"s why so many people prefer to live in the countryside rather than live in the noisy city. I suggest all the factories and cars shouldn"t make terrible noises. If they make terrible noise that isn"t allowed, they will be fined, and we can also produce the cars which can"t make terrible noise.

The other pollution is rubbish pollution. If everyone makes so much rubbish, one day we may live in a world filled with rubbish. Some people throw the waste paper about. I suggest rubbish should be put into different kinds of dustbins or paper bags.

拍卖会开始了，拍卖师说了起步价5万，再看了看台下人山人海的顾客，叹了口气说:“早知道现在只剩下最后一滴水，何必当初那么浪费呢?我们人类真蠢啊!”还没等拍卖师的话说完，台下的一位顾客大声叫道:“50万!我出50万!”，“好，50万一次，还有没有人比这位顾客出更高的价格?”“有，当然有!我出500万!”其中一位顾客尖叫到。“OK，500万一次!”......

这样的叫喊声持续了好久，好久，突然大家停了下来，原来是杯子里的清水洒了出来!大家哭了，那眼泪是世界上最苦的眼泪了，它代表了人们的后悔之情......

With the development of economic,people now living a better life.But at the same time,many of the earths animals have already died out.

Nowdays,more and more animals lost their homes and they have no choice but to face the sorrow of missing relatives and friends.What makes it comes about?What makes their living condition even worse?The answer is human!Some people cut down plenty of trees to make fortunes,which damaged the forest and made the animals lost their home.And there are also some greedy people even hunt for animals to make money,which lead a terrible result--a number of animals are in danger.

Each anmimal especially wildlife is our friend,they play an important role in ecological balance.So,lets take action,planting trees,buliding birdhouses and so on to pretect our earth.

随着经济的发展,人们现在过着更好的生活。但与此同时,地球上的很多动物已经灭绝了。

现在,越来越多的动物失去了家园,他们别无选择,只能面对失踪亲友的悲痛。它是什么?是什么让他们的生活条件更糟糕吗?答案是人类!有些人砍伐大量的树木让财富,破坏了森林,使动物失去了他们的家园。甚至还有一些贪婪的人寻找动物赚钱,导致一个可怕的结果,许多动物都处于危险之中。

主义每个动物特别是野生动物是我们的朋友,他们在生态平衡发挥重要作用。让我们采取行动,种植树木,建筑物的鸟屋等等来保护我们的地球。

Today, we read a lot about the passage to protect the environment. I recall ever happened in my side.

Remember last years summer vacation, my father and I went for a walk EHu edge, a way, Im kind of shouted thirsty, so my father on the side of the road store bought me a Popsicle. I ate and go, soon finished eating, carelessly threw the ice sticks into EHu. Dad saw, reminded me immediately; "Coco, cant litter oh! If everyone like you to throw garbage in the lake, the beautiful EHu lake becomes waste." Im ashamed of say: "know, next time I must not litter." Dad smiled and stroked my head and said: "the earth is our home, we should protect it, cherish it, let the sky bluer, the water cleaner, the grass is greener." I naughty to say: "oh, that is, everybody has said, the city is my home, clean environment depends on everybody. I understand." From then on, I no longer throw garbage.

I want to take care of the environment is closely related to everyone, so lets start from everyone!

今天，我们读了很多关于保护环境的小短文。我想起曾经在我身边发生的事情。

记得是去年的暑假，我和爸爸一起去鹅湖边散步，走了一段路，我就一个劲的喊口渴，于是，爸爸就在路边的小店给我买了根冰棍。我边吃边走，一会儿就吃完了，随手把冰棍棒往鹅湖里一扔。爸爸看见了，马上提醒我说;“可可，不能乱扔垃圾噢!如果每个人都像你一样往湖里扔垃圾，这美丽的鹅湖不就变成了垃圾湖了。”我羞愧的说：“知道了，我下次一定不乱扔垃圾。”爸爸微笑着抚摸我的头说：“地球也是我们的家，我们应该保护它，爱护它，让天更蓝，水更清，草更绿。”我调皮的说：“噢，那就是大家一直说的，城市是我家，环境清洁靠大家。我明白了。”让从那以后，我再也不乱扔垃圾了。

我想爱护环境与每个人息息相关，所以要从每个人做起!

地球是我们的母亲，是人们的家园，水是我们们生命的源泉;可是，地球上的水资源现在却逐渐减少，为此，我家也开始了行动……

这天早晨，我正要刷牙洗脸，爸爸突然宣布：“从现在开始，我们也要节约用水。”我不以为然，认为爸爸只是说说而已，便没太在意，当我把洗脸水装得得满满一盆时，站在一旁的爸爸脸立刻拉得像“长白山”似的，而且严厉地说：“我刚才在讲要节约用水，你的小耳朵怎么没带着吗?洗脸水哪用那么多?小半盆就够了嘛。”我不满地嘟起小觜说：好啦!知道了。正当我准备把洗脸水倒掉时，爸爸又啰了起来：“这水不能倒。”我奇怪了，不耐烦地问，为什么呀?爸爸回答说：水倒了太可惜，留着可以重复使用——不管洗衣服也行，冲厕所也可以。我表面同意，可心理在想：爸爸怎么那么小气啊?不就是一盆水吗?怎么当金子用了?

过了几天，我和妈妈去公园里游玩，买了两瓶水，我喝了一半就不想喝了，便随手一扔，妈妈立刻去捡了回来，我有些不高兴了，夺过瓶子再扔，妈妈还是很有耐心地捡了起来，眉头微微一皱，乖女儿：喝一半的水怎么能扔呢?这样既不环保还浪费水嘛，如果每个人都像你这样一年要浪费多少水?长期下去，地球的水源迟早要用光的呀!我恍然大悟!记得上课时老师给我们讲过保护环境、保护水资源的道理，然我接过瓶子：“嗯!我以后再也不这样了。”说完，便把乘下的水喝光，然后把瓶子扔进了垃圾箱里。妈妈高兴地说：这才是我的乖女儿了。

回来的路上妈妈对我说：小宇，你知道吗?80年代后期全球淡水实际利用的数量大约每年3000亿立方米，占可利用总量的1-3。但是随着人口的增长及人均收入的增加，人们对水资源的消耗量也以几何级数增长。我们要加强保护水资源意识，不要让最后一滴水成为眼泪!

听了妈妈的话我理解了爸爸的心情，更理解妈妈对我的教导，同时对自己也明白了一个道理：珍惜水源，从现在做起，从我做起。

Today, as the development of the technology, people live a much better life than before, the average wage is promoted highly. The economy develops at the cost of polluting the environment, we can see the pollution everywhere, like the river water is dirty, the situation is so serious that we must take some action to control the environmental pollution. First, we should not throw away the rubbish, whenever we have rubbish at hand, we should keep the habit to throw it into the dustbin, sometimes the garbage can be recycled. Second, the government should make some measure to punish the industry which is not deal with the pollution well. With the government’s intervention, the businessmen will pay special attention to the pollution and dare not to ignore it. Protecting the environment needs everyone’s effort, to ourselves and our offspring’s health, we must take action to protect the environment.
