成吉思汗

Genghis Khan, "Khan of Khans", was the great leader of Mongolians. At the

end of 12th century, he united Mongolian tribes and challenged other powers to

expand his huge Mongolian empire, which extended from South China to the Caspian

Sea.

In 1277, Khan attacked the West Xia Kingdom (presently Ningxia) and

encountered strong resistance. He died of disease and age. The great emperor was

later buried secretly according to Mongolian custom. It says that after the

burial 2,000 men were slaughtered by some 800 soldiers who were in turn executed

so that the location of the real tomb remains a secret.

There are four sacrifice ceremonies held annually to commemorate the great

hero and leader of the Mongolian people. The ceremony, held on March 21st on

lunar calendar, is the grandest. After the ceremony, horse racing, archery and

wrestling are held as entertainment.

According to The General Office of the State Councils Notice on The Arrangement of Some Holidays in 2019 (No. 15 [2018] of The State Council) and the requirements of Longhua Education Bureaus Notice on the Arrangement of The New Years Day Holiday in 2019, the arrangement of the "New Years Day" holiday in our school is as follows:

One, the overall arrangement of the holiday

New Years Day: December 30 - January 1 holiday, a total of three days. Teachers will return to work on December 29, 2018, and students will return to class on Wednesday, January 2, 2018.

(Note: Class on Tuesday, Week 18, on December 28; Classes will be held on Friday of the 17th week on December 29th. Cadres and teachers on duty will be arranged according to the corresponding weekly schedule. Evening self-study will be held on January 1st and Sunday.

Ii. Matters needing attention during holidays for students and parents

1. Parents should guide their children to make reasonable holiday plans and spend time with them watching TV programs and news reports about New Years Day, so as to know about folk customs and get familiar with traditional culture; To understand national achievements and enhance patriotic feelings; We should expand our cultural horizon and cultivate our national feelings.

2. Parents should guide their children to read more beneficial extra-curricular reading materials. While enjoying the holidays, they should also urge their children to finish their homework on time and take part in more labor and practical activities. Have a fulfilling, happy and meaningful vacation.

Parents should teach their children to obey the law and strictly observe social ethics. Please the students to consciously resist the allure of the social bad molecular, do not participate in the feudal superstition, not watching, not all, pay attention to language civilization, not to take part in illegal activities, maintain the normal social order, do a love life, have ideal and faith, good "world outlook, the outlook on life, values," the beauty of youth.

4. Parents should teach their children to pay attention to safety and pay attention to reasonable diet. I’m very glad to learn that you’re going to visit me during the week-long

holiday. My parents will also be happy to see you again. I am sure you will

enjoy every minute here.

I have arranged our schedule for the holiday as follows. On the first day

you arrive, I’ll show you around our campus. On the second day, we’ll visit the

art gallery and the music hall. Next day, we’ll climb a hill in the northeastern

part of the city. On the top of the hill, we can have a wonderful bird’s eye

view of the city. During the next three days, we’ll make some short trips to

some places of interest nearby, such as the Swan Cave, the Golden Lake, etc. On

the last day, I’ll see you off at the railway station.

so that I can meet you at the railway station. By the way, it’s very hot here
