there is sharing. not only do we share household worries and parental burdens - we also share ideas. scott came home from a convention last month and presented me with a thick historical novel. though he prefers thrillers and science fiction, he had read the novel on the plane. he touched my heart when he eplained it was because he wanted to be able to echange ideas about the book after i’d read it.

there is forgiveness. when i’m embarrasssingly loud and crazy at parties, scott forgives me. when he confessed losing some of our savings in the stock market, i gave him a hug and said, “it’s okay. it’s only money.”there is sensitivity. last week he walked through the door with that look that tells me it’s been a tough day. after he spent some time with the kids, i asked him what happened. he told me about a 60-year-old woman who’d had a stroke. he wept as he recalled the woman’s husband standing beside her bed, caressing her hand. how was he going to tell this husband of 40 years that his wife would probably never recover? i shed a few tears myself. because of the medical crisis. because there were still people who have been married 40 years. because my husband is still moved and concerned after years of hospital rooms and dying patients.

Online open courses are gaining popularity in recent years. Follwoing globally famous universities like Yale and Harvard, some universities in China have also started to offer online open courses. Those courses have attracted people from all classes with different occupations.

The courses have brought many benefits to people. Many of the courses are provided by universities in foreign countries, and thus offer fresh ideas to us. Through them, we can keep up with what people are thinking all over the world. But that can also be a problem. Some of the courses may not be very suitable for Chinese students because of cultural differences and may cause chaos on Chinese campus.

In my opinion, online open course is useful and we should make use of it to broaden our horizons. But we should also remember to have our own thinking and not be brainwashed by improper ideas.

Is Failure a Bad Thing?

三、书面表达应试要领

1. 第一步是仔细审题。重点注意内容要点，写作对象和交际目的。

2. 要写草稿，实在没时间也要写一个提纲。

3. 确定好时态。转述别人观点常用现在时。记叙经常发生的事用一般现在时，描写过去发生的事用过去时。

4. 不出现中文，不用汉语拼音。不生造中国式的英语。要用你听过的话来说，用你读过的句子来写。

5. 第一句很重要，不要轻易下笔。尾句部分容易出错，要留意。

6. 为防止遗漏内容要点，可在原题上标出记号。

7. 几个必要的连词一定要用，或顺接、或转折、或让步、或比较。

8. 写记叙文，注意六个要素：who, where, when, why, how and the result.

9. 议论文，注意论点与论据一致。还要注意是让你写一方观点还是介绍对立的两种观点。

一、几点重要原则

1.智者利用押题，傻子依赖押题!

2.书面表达整篇背诵绝无必要，可以以看读为主，关键是从中汲取一些常用的词汇和表达，并能得体熟练地运用。考场上应变能力很重要!

3.英文写作模仿很重要。有时也很有效。但不能过于牵强，尤其是对一些长难句的刻意模仿使用。

4.文似看山不喜平，起承转合一定要有!

5.“见微知著，一叶知秋”，几个亮点足矣：有道是：浓妆淡抹总相宜，作文写得简洁到位要比长篇大论更显功力。

6.心不为形役。不要身陷逐字逐句“英汉对号”式的字面翻译，要把表达的主动权始终握在自己手里。

二、善用万能句以不变应万变

历届高考，书面表达考得最多是提示作文，即提供一定的情景内容，要求考生完成100词左右的短文。

从命题方式看，有短文提示、要点提示、图画提示、情景提示以及图表提示等；体裁以应用文为主，记叙文为辅：题材为广大中学生所熟悉的日常生活。从提供要点的情景方面看，历届高考书面表达题均属供料小作文，采用文字供料或文字说明加图画(图表)的方式供料。

备考时，同学们要利用有限的时间把以前背的范文整理一下，从中选出不同体裁、不同题材的范文各一篇(范文以高考真题的高分作文为佳)，把它们重新记忆，一定记牢。这样，高考时不管什么样的文章都可套用背诵好的格式。避免考场上因紧张而无章可循。

最后阶段，还要总结一下写作时常用且能出彩的固定句型、句式，比如强调句型、定语从句、名诃性从句等，牢记英语的五个基本句式，背诵平时老师总结的万能句。以不变应万变。

考场答题前，应仔细审题，研究所提供的文字和图画(图表)材料和作文要求。分析、提炼要点，理顺要点，确立基本的写作思路，不要忽略任何一个词。关键的词更不能遗漏，构思好写几个方面，缺一不可。

写作时，尽量用学过的英语句型和词组。少写长句和复杂句以免弄巧成拙、漏洞百出。但目前高考有关书面表达的评分标准要求作文中应有“较多的语法结构和词汇”，因此同学们在书面表达中不能都写小句、短句和单句，还要正确运用高级词汇和复杂结构。恰当运用过渡词，使写出来的文章含金量更高，更具可读性。

三、高分作文六大特性

1.条理性。指的是合理安排文章结构。首先，在文章思路、组织材料、叙述顺序等方面要有一定的条理性。其次。根据需要，安排好段落，各段之间要层次分明，也要重视每一段的开头和结尾，开头语往往是总起句，结尾语往往是总结句。

2.准确性。指要求写出语法正确的句子，包括时态、语态、用词和句法等，要准确、地道地表达。必须要牢牢掌握一些常用句型或习惯表达，避免中式英语，在实践中不断总结中英用法的差异，养成用英语思维写作的习惯。

3.流畅性。指根据整篇文章思想的需要，有效采用不同的连接手段，使文章层次清楚、行文连贯。

4.简洁多样性。简洁性就是语言简洁，不重复。多样性就是能随情景内容的变化写出句式多样的语句。这也是新课程标准对写作的评价标准。

5.思想性。新标准对写作的要求，增加了情感因素，在准确流畅表达写作要点的同时，适当增加句子的感情色彩，增加一些人情味，使文章读起来更亲切，完全达到与读者进行交流的目的。

6.美观性。指的是卷面书写规范、清楚、干净、整洁。

四、怎样才能有‘拽”的感觉

1.高考写作的实质——变相考查句型与词汇的灵活应用

英语写作不同于语文作文的写作，如果说语文作文是一个自由发挥的舞蹈，那么高考英语写作就是带着枷锁在跳舞。我之所以这样来形容，是因为高考英语写作的内容都已经通过文字、表格、图片这三种形式给定，内容方面，不需要学生进行发挥，大家所需要发挥的就是不要老去给这个不变的内容穿毫无变化的校服(简单句)，而要去穿一些不一样的衣服，让它显得不那么单调，让阅卷老师能看到不同，而那些所谓的衣服也就是多变句型与词汇。

2.写作的评分标准——怎么去迎合评卷老师的胃口

我了解到目前很大一部分学生的作文都处在15分左右，写作满分25分，15分也就是个及格分，那么15分和20多分的作文到底差在哪里?这个问题很容易回答。15分的作文中规中矩，该对的都对，包括内容要点的完整，语法与词形的正确，但是全都是简单句子的堆砌，没有任何亮点。而20多分的作文在句型词汇方面就做了很好的包装，它的句子穿的衣服已经不是校服，而是李宁、耐克，或者是阿迪，所以让人觉得很“拽”，而高考英语写作要的就是这种很“拽”的感觉。

3.写作提分的三要素——句型。连词。高级词汇

句子是我们写作文最大的单位。有了漂亮的句子。用好的连词将其连句成段，再加上一些如星星般亮点词汇的点缀，一篇好的高考英语作文就诞生了。而这三个因素中最容易把握的是句子，最难的是高级词汇，限于大家的词汇还比较有限。一篇文章中出现那么一两个就够了。我们应该把重心放在句型上，因为这个最容易把握。

但是大家又有这样的困惑，学校里老师也给了我们很多的句型啊，动辄成五十上百句的，大家背得挺多，但是面对考试的时候，发现背的那些怎么也用不上。其实不是那些东西没有用，而是它们太干了，就好比一根干骨头，大家嚼起来很没有味。也不知道该把它们往哪里放。

在这里我给大家提供一种比较切实可行、迅速提高的练习方法，在接下来的时间里只要大家按照这个方法来，就一定会有收获。

找出历年真题，一周只需要写两篇。但是要这么来写。

1.把你要写的内容要点用九到十句的汉语表达出来。

2.逐一地进行翻译，不是用简单句。而是要刻意地去想：

(1)可以用什么样的复杂句；

(2)怎样去避开不会的表达，转义。

例如：

这本书是如此的有趣，以至于我读了一遍又一遍。

这四句译文当中无疑评卷老师最欣赏的是第四句，因为它用了倒装。

或许星空是一种愿望，而实地则是最能接近梦想的圣境;或许仰望是一种“奢求”而脚踏则是把仰望用于行动的工具。我认为，仅有经过脚踏实地，才能够到达绚丽多彩的星空。

羽扇纶巾，舌战群儒，一副儒生相貌的诸葛亮之所以可与许多武将、枭雄齐名于当世，与其志向不无关系。面临着汉室窘境，他渴望匡扶汉室，救天子于水火之中，但其不像曹操、董卓之辈，借以令诸侯;也不像刘璋、刘表之类，懦弱无能，躲避于乱世;更不像王朗、华歆之徒，卖主求荣。诸葛亮所选择的是不断完善自我，脚踏实地。正因如此，有了他喂鸡拖延教师下课的美谈，使司马徽对其刮目相看;正因如此，有了他“未出茅庐便三分天下”的壮谈，使刘玄德有“吾之有孔明，如鱼得水”的慨叹;正因如此，虽然满朝文武想偏安一隅，但他仍渴望兴复汉室，六出祁山。却因操劳过度，身死五丈原，尽管留下了“出师未捷身先死，长使英雄泪满襟”的遗憾，但脚踏实地却让他到达了人生的另一个高度。

于丹说过：“人生的每一步路都是要用脚来丈量的。”实现梦想的路更是如此。李素丽的星空虽然没有刘翔、姚明的星空光环绚丽，却在“为人民服务”的工作宗旨下别有一番特色。李素丽的微笑，无论下雨刮风，都在她的脸上洋溢着;和蔼的声音“请乘客扶好”“大妈，您做我那里吧!”都给人以温暖。完全诠释在她的身上。如此脚踏实地，亦源自她对星空的仰望，尽管星空不很绚丽，却也照亮了她的人生。

然而，许多的人也总是仰望星空，却从未脚踏实地。林和靖的诗固然闲适，却也显示出一种逃避。林和靖原本也是想尽毕生之才华，助国家繁荣，却只因科举不中，就一头扎在山根底下，整天“以梅为妻，以鹤为子”，可这样的人又有何用呢?空留闲诗，自我的名字却在漫漫历史长河中被遗忘，岂不痛哉?

天生其材的方仲永，也曾想过要把其名扬于世，但他竟想用它那微薄的才华展露于世，中日游于富人之间，终为“泯然众人矣”。一味的仰望星空，让他们或被历史淹没，或半途而废，最终一事无成。

仰望星空，让人生充满期望及梦想;

脚踏实地，缩短了现实与梦想的距离，星空不在绚丽与否，不在于空想，而在于自我的脚踏实地。

妈妈，别担忧，我们一点都不怕，此刻我们真正担心的是你们啊。怕余震、山体滑坡伤到了解放军叔叔，怕病毒感染了护士阿姨，怕志愿者们累垮了。不过还好，在大家的齐心协力下，这种事情并不多。

妈妈，此刻的我心潮澎湃，想唱一首《中国心》给您听，只可惜您听不到了。日子平平淡淡的时候，总觉得国与国似乎都一样，人与人都相同，没一点刺激想奏出些波澜。现在波澜来了，却夺去了几万个鲜活的生命。我惊恐不安，但在泪光中，我却看到了一颗颗跳动的火热的心。妈妈啊，那就是中国心啊。

中国人民是最勇敢的，中国人是最具爱心的。这是我心底由衷的感叹！当我看到急行180里山路，51岁的四川军区副司令员李亚洲疲惫却坚强的面孔时；当我看到面对余震来临，荆利杰跪地哭求“让我再救一个”时；当我看到3岁孩童向救他的官兵举起仅能动的左手时，妈妈，你能体会我这一刻的心情吗？那感动，那震撼，那羞愧充盈着我的心。

地动天不塌，大灾有大爱！妈妈，这句话我懂了。我真的感觉到自己有一个强大的祖国！再震震不垮中国人民的信念，再摇摇不断民族的脊梁！妈妈，这种万众一心、众志成城，我感受到了！

史书上告诉我们，人是一种高级动物，是从猿进化而来的。进化的过程发生了很多变化。比如人脑比猿脑大得多。

千千万万的人脑一般差不多，所以人与人的智商其实也差不多。可是为什么人们后天的差异会那么大?原来是因为人们所作的努力程度不一样，才导致人们才华的差异。人在春天辛勤的播种一粒种子，细心耕耘，管理，秋天才能收获丰硕的果实，说的就是这个道理。然而我们很多人都只做出一点点的努力，就想获得丰收，这是不可能的。

努力和懒惰是一对死对头，而我，还有很多同学的落后，都是因为慵懒造成的。困难好比一座高山，而我们就是一名登山者。只有越过一座座高山，我们才能看见海。在这期间，会遇到陡峭的山峰，可能还会受风霜雨雪的打击，但只要有坚强的意志，就可以抵御这些打击。如果没有坚强的意志，就只能承受这些打击，最后被打回谷低。比如，我们班的张杰和卢奕楠，他们有一样的大脑，为什么差距那么大，他们无论是下课还是上课都会玩，为什么一个是第一，而一个是倒数第一?因为张杰在该认真的时候，在讲到重要部分的时候，就会认真听，而卢奕楠还在玩。这足以说明一个人是否成功，先要看那人做出的努力大小。

虽然人是高级动物，但人其实也是一种很笨的动物。很多时候，我们根本无法认清自己。只有别人才能看清自己。有些人高估自己;有些人低估自己;有些人相信自己。高估自己的人往往自以为是、不自量力，笨蛋一个还自以为很了不起。

低估自己的人一般是胆小、不敢在大众面前表现自己。这样的人往往自卑，退却。也是难以开拓，创新，难以有所作为。学习上也总难如愿。

相信自己的人能够坚持做自己，抵御一切不良歪风习气的影响。这样的人，能够不畏惧一切困难，能够坚持不懈的努力。这样的人能够奋发进取，开拓创新。而在我们班，几乎没有这样相信自己的人。就像我，就是属于低估自己的人。上课不敢发言，也不敢参加什么活动，更不敢有自己什么思想。偶尔有点火花也是如流星一样，一闪而过。缺少行动力，执行力。老是担忧失败，担忧受打击。一有风吹草动，似乎就会万劫不复!

其实高估自己的人只要谦虚一点，低估自己的人只要大胆一些，就可以成为相信自己的人。而我们都不愿意迈出这一小步。阿姆斯特朗在飞船上向月球迈出一小步，却使人类迈出一大步。有时候，我们要像他一样敢于迈出这一小步，我们就能在成长的道路上迈出一大步。

我们要成为这两种人：努力的人;相信自己的人。我们更要成为这两种品质都具备的人。虽然这并不容易，不过我相信我们可以向这方向努力!加上我们有坚强的意志，又能够脚踏实地，我们就可以成功!

跨越，是一种无言的奋斗;跨越，是一种自我内心障碍的突破;跨越，更是一种磨砺我们意志，培养坚强品格的机会。而我回想起那次独自走过玻璃栈道，跨越了内心恐惧的经历，依然历历在目。

阳光如泉水般从窗户泻进房间，也照映在我的脸上，好不温暖。在房间收拾行李的我问道：“今儿天气真不错，爸爸前几天说今天要带我去别处旅游，不知是什么地方呢?”我心中万分期待。

坐了几个小时的火车，很快便到达了目的地。那是一个著名的风景区，四面群山环绕，高耸入云，层峦叠嶂。看完山后，便问游览项目。“当然有了，除了欣赏这美丽的景色，我们还要体验一下这里最有名的玻璃栈道。”爸爸指着远处的栈道，微笑着。

“玻璃栈道?”听罢，内心一震，我有点恐高啊，爸爸你不知道吗?

“就是因为你恐高，所以才过来带你锻炼下胆量，你不会害怕了吧?”爸爸的话激起了我的自尊心，我硬着头皮答应了。

站在栈道入口的我，两腿已经瑟瑟发抖，回想起对爸爸的诺言，只得闭上眼睛，深深呼吸，鼓起勇气跨越恐惧。

睁眼往下望，脚底下就是万丈深渊，江水如猛兽般涌动着，似乎从不曾停息过。我看着这用玻璃制成的道，再想像着栈道岌岌可危的模样，真是捏出了一把冷汗，不再敢往前一步。

“就这样放弃了?”身边的爸爸问道。倔强的我不愿服输，大声说道：“不可能，我一定能突破心理障碍，跨越出第一步。”

用尽全身力气，只为迈出那一步。风儿，在耳边呼呼的吹，煽动着心中燃起的火，让它驱走内心的不安。

等到跨越了那一步，心中却有着从未有过的踏实，看着身边耸立的群山，似乎在为我鼓舞。内心的喜悦，无法言喻，我不仅跨越了那一步，更跨越了内心的障碍。

停笔，看着窗外依旧美好的世界，我恍然大悟，只有跨越才能成为更勇敢的自己……

我们这一代都是生在社会主义新的和平年代，我们能幸福快乐的地在这个环境中不断的成长，这些全都得益于我们伟大的党的正确领导。因此我们每一个人都要怀着一颗感恩的心去热爱党，支持党，拥护党，报答党。

每天，我们能坐在这宽敞明亮的教室学习，有着美丽的校园和辛勤工作的老师。这些都是党给予我们的，是党为了我们的学习不断的努力与付出。说到这里，我的眼前不禁显现出汶川大地震时党为了灾区儿童不耽误学习而忙碌的身影，我们党对灾区儿童伸出了援助之手。为他们带去了安全、温暖和祝福。全国的党员们也纷纷为他们捐钱捐物。这一幅幅感人的画面是我一辈子都不会忘记的场景，正是党在事情的危急关头，从人民的角度出发，关心人民，爱护人民，所以我们才会拥有美好的成长环境。

我能出生在党的怀抱中，是我一生中的幸福。

每当国旗高高的升起，我心中一片汹涌澎湃，雄壮的国歌声中有力的音符告诉我肩负了中华民族伟大复兴的光荣历史任务。我心存感激，能够生活在物质文明如此丰富的今天，老一代革命前辈以鲜血换来了我们今天无比优越的生活，因此我更具有紧迫感，我一定要努力学习，以旺盛的精力投入学习当中，不怕苦，认真刻苦，坚苦扎实。我们是祖国的花朵，新一代领导人就像太阳一样照耀我们的成长，我心寸感激，我要报效祖国。我要去到遥远的边疆，认真的守卫着我们的国门，我要成为一位科学家，把火箭造得飞得老高，我要成为一个工人，为祖国献上一钉一铁，我要成为一位军事家，指挥着我军把帝国主义的侵略_夹着尾巴逃跑了。啊，我爱你，我心向着你。
