《夯实“本手”，可创“妙手”避“俗手”》

围棋之法有三：本手乃正规之法，妙手乃精妙之法，而俗手乃受损之法。初学者常眼高手低，好高骛远，急于求成。殊不知也许会“机关算尽太聪明，反误了卿卿性命”，即一着不慎，满盘皆输;落子无方，功亏一篑。棋之道，亦为人之道，行事之道。只有夯实“本手”，才可创“妙手”，避“俗手”。

“万丈高楼平地起，一砖一瓦皆根基”，夯“本手”之基，高楼才能拔地万丈，风雨不动安如山。“咬定青山不放松，立根原在破岩中”。立“本手”之根，翠竹才能咬定青山，任尔东南西北风。“本手”其本质是一种夯基追本的“务本”精神!

Another thing we need to work on is our English skills. Teachers and parents often put great emphasis on our English skills especially listening and speaking. A week before Earth Day, posters were put up around our school, calling upon us to join in the actions for a greener earth.

A recent survey has been conducted on whether parents feel honored about their children in Zhonghua School. What is symbolically depicted in the bar chart above is that 80% parents regard their children as pride, while, to our surprise, only 60 in every hundred students hold the same viewpoint.

Such a striking contrast is there between the two perspectives that it reveals a common phenomenon. Parents and children hold different attitudes towards the issue. From where I am standing, two reasons are responsible for the finding.
