The summer vacation is here, and the students are very happy. Now I will

introduce to you how my summer vacation was spent.

When I started to do my homework during the summer vacation, I was always

many people can reject he temptation of it. I like this festival very much. I

have two reasons.

First of all, mid-autumn has the deep meaning of reunite. In china, people

regard mid-autumn day as very important, so no matter where they are, they will

come back to their family if there is a chance. They don’t like celebrate this

festival outside, which will make them feel lonely. Thus, they will go home by

Secondly, every family will prepare a big meal in that day. All the food is

delicious. It is good to have a big meal. I think nobody will not interest in

delicious food. The mooncake is a necessary decoration for mid-autumn day. It

tastes good, too. It is the traditional for a long time. How pleased to enjoy

the glorious full moon with mooncake!

This is why I love mid-autumn festival so much. It is funny and happy

time.

Recently, the news about the famous fast food company got bankrupted in

Taiwan was spread in Wechat. While in mainland, less people know about the truth

and the fast food company still works well. Chinese food problem exists all the

My home town is a beautiful place. It stands beside a wide river and is

In 1949 my hometown was liberated. Since then great changes have taken

place there. The streets have been widened. Factories, schools, hospitals,

I love my hometown. All the more I love its people. They are working hard

In my mind, everyone shall have his own dream. I think that having a dream

means that we have an idea, and then we will do all the things to achieve the

determine your own future by developing positive psychological, mastering

communication arts and showing your personality charm. In that way, you can have

a wonderful life!”

During whole sections, this book tells us human should live in a large

group, since people can’t solve all problems by their own. For that matter,

human beings should learn a series of manners to deal with any situation which

might happen wherever and whenever. After that, Doctor Li makes a point that

people need to realize how to resolve disagreements between friends, families or

colleagues. There always appears this kind of situation in social life, so it’s

important to understand how to settle it. Finally he teaches us that

communication techniques not only reflect in normal talk but also within body

languages.

In each part of the book, the author takes a large number of examples in

daily life to confirm his points. These examples in daily life are easy to

understand and accept.

After reading the book, I find many shortages of my communication skills. I

used to lack of patience when I talk to others, even got mad at them. This was

impolite and might destroy relationships between my friends and me. Therefore I

would try my best to improve myself and be welcome.

Before I was five years old, I did not like to eat fruit. I only like meat.

My mother tried to figure out many ways to let me to eat fruit and gain the

vitamins. She used fruits to make funny models, which indeed attracted me to

eat. What’s more, the fruit salad is my favorite food now. I like to eat apples

and grape.

We should not litter the sea, and should clean up the dirty parts. As water is very important to our environment, he encouraged everyone to take part in protecting our lakes, rivers, sea and ocean.

There are still a few people who are not protecting the water now in the world. For example, some factories pour waste things into the rivers, lakes or into the sea near by. The water there has become very dirty and we can’t use them at all. Although there are seventy–five per sent of water in the world, we can only use fresh water, that there is only a little. So we should use little water when we need to use it. For example, I do not use too much water when I am washing my face or having a bath… It is important for us to keep the water clean. You may ask yourself, have I ever poured or thrown dirty things into the water? If your answer is “No”, that means you have already helped to protect the environment. It is our duty to protect the environment. You may ask yourself again, have I ever helped to clean up the water? If your answer is “Yes”, that means that you have already done something useful to improve the water. If we use up all the water, it is difficult for us to get it from anywhere, including the universe. It is terrible to think that people are too thirsty to live! The air we breathe is so freely available that we take it for granted. Yet without it we could not survive more than a few minutes. For the most part, the same air is available to everyone, and everyone needs it. Some people use the air to sustain them while they sit around and feel sorry for themselves. Others breathe in the air and use the energy it provides to make a magnificent life for themselves.

about them in books. We can also develop our analytical skills and learn how to

view and interpret the world around us in different ways. Furthermore, we can

learn from the past by reading books. In this way, we won’t repeat the mistakes

of others and can build on their achievements.

Practical experience, on the other hand, can give us more useful knowledge.

It is said that one learns best by doing, and I believe that this is true,

whether one is successful or not. In fact, I think making mistakes is the best

way to learn. Moreover, if one wants to make new advances, it is necessary to

act. Innovations do not come about through reading but through experimentation.

Finally, one can apply the skills and insights gained through the study of books

to practical experience, making an already meaningful experience more

meaningful. However, unless it is applied to real experiences, book knowledge

remains theoretical and, in the end, is useless. That is why I believe that

knowledge gained from practical experience is more important than that acquired

from books.
