In a pioneer society it is the harder qualities of mind and character that

are of value. The softer virtues are considered unnecessary. Men and women

struggling daily to earn a living are unable, even for a moment, to forget the

business of preserving their lives. Only unusual people, like my grandparents,

manage to keep the softer qualities in a world of daily struggle.

Such were the two people with whom I spent the months from June to

September in the wonderful days of summer and youth.

There is a big table in it. The table is pink and brown. There is a yellow story book on the table. Look! There is a green trash bin under the table. Where is the teddy bear? Oh! It’s on the bed. My Home Town

My home town is a beautiful place. It stands beside a wide river and is rich in fish and rice.

But in the old days it was a poor and backward little town. Many people had no work. They lived a hard life.

In 1949 my hometown was liberated. Since then great changes have taken place there. The streets have been widened. Factories， schools， hospitals， cinemas and theatres have sprung up one after another. The life of the people is greatly improved.

I love my hometown. All the more I love its people. They are working hard so as to make it still richer and more beautiful.

军训，是我们人生中必要经历的一次考验，这个考验能够磨练我们的意志。让我们学会遇到困难时敢于向前挑战，有永不退缩的精神！

开学的第一星期，刚步入九年级的我们就要面临新的挑战——军训。担任我们班的临时教官是李教官，他为人幽默。军训的第一天，大家都抱着好奇的心理来到操场。首先开始练军姿，本以为练军姿是一件非常容易的事，那时我还在想：不就是站吗？谁不会？唉，你可别小看这小小的军姿，看着教官做是挺简单的，可当你自己做的时候就并不那么容易了！下午的时候，我们开始练习齐步走，这个动作要一排之间有默契才行。而刚好分到我们这一排的人都很有默契，每次我们都走的很齐。于是教官就说："一排长，你们这一排走的很齐，要继续保持。好了，你们休息一会吧！”于是，我们就站在那里有说有笑的，看着别人训练，我们休息，心里别提有多高兴了！唉，没办法，谁让我们这一排有默契呢！

第三天，今天我们班全体迟到了。因为老师让我们在班里背单词，本来我们是7：30集合，可老师让我们7：50的时候才去。等到我们班去的时候，其它班都已经到齐了，而且都开始站军姿了，当时我看教官真的好无奈的站在那里等我们。唉，教官开始罚我们站军姿。站了大约有10分钟的军姿，教官又让我们练蹲姿。练蹲姿的时候很难受，一下子让我们蹲了很长时间。这时，对面的教官对我们说”哇，这班同学竟然全体背单词迟到，好精致的理由！"当我们听到这句话的时候，全体都笑了。

时间过得真快，转眼间今天是军训的最后一天。今天上午我们就要会操了，7：30我们就来到操场集合，我们按照抽签的方式来决定顺序。结果，我们班抽到第四名了。好紧张，轮到我们班了。刚入场，我们就状况百出。我站在第一排，紧张得手和腿都开始发抖，教官也不例外。会演结束了，我们班表演的很差，只得了93分。教官觉得对不起我们大家，于是就自己就惩罚自己练蹲姿。当时，我的心里真的好难受，因为表演的差又不是教官一个人的错，我们大家也有责任。教官怕我们回去的时候老师会说我们，就把责任往自己身上揽。

过了一会，教官走了，那时我们大家都看着他。我们真的很舍不得他离开，可我们又能改变什么呢？只能默默的看着他离开。他就这样走了，默默无闻的走了。和他相处的这几天，我们大家过的都很快乐。当我们想要放弃的的时候，他会鼓励我们勇往直前；当我们快乐的时候，他陪我们一起快乐；当我们受伤的时候，他会第一时间送来关怀；当我们不开心的时候，他会想尽办法来逗我们开心。他，就是“最可爱的人”——人民解放军李教官。他也是让我们永远无法忘怀的人，再见啦，李教官，我们会永远记住你的！

一星期的军训生活结束了，这次军训参杂着我们的泪水和汗水，在这次军训中我学会了很多。人生中总要面对许多挫折，而这些别人帮不了你度过，只有靠自己。经过自己的努力换来的成功，那种快乐，是用多少钱也买不来的！
