1. There be 结构

there be 结构和have has结构翻译成汉语都是“有”的意思，但含义不同。have (has)表示“某人拥有某物”，there be而结构表示“某人或某物存在于某地或某时”。

there be 结构中的动词 动词与后面的主语在数的方面保持一致。如果句中的主语是并列主语，即有两个或两个以上的人或物作主语，那么一般说来动词的数应与第一个主语的数保持一致。如：

12. I’m afraid…

“be afraid of +名词或动名词”的用法也很常用。表示“害怕”。如：

在这一句型结构中until (till) 引导的是时间状语(从句)，因此从句中不能用将来时，只能用一般现在时代替。如果主句的谓语动词或until (till)前面的动词是一个瞬间动词，那么该动词必须用否定形式。一般地来说until和till的意思与用法都基本相同，唯一的区别在于可以置于句首，而不能。如：

He watched TV until (till) his parents came back.

We couldn’t go back home until the rain stopped.

16. be pleased…

这个短语后面既可以另动词不定式，也可以加适当的介词。 加不定式be pleased to do表示“做......很高兴”， 而加介词 be pleased with / at / by......表示“对......感到很高兴，很满意。”如：

17. You should go out instead of staying at home.

Most people miss their grade school days and think they are the happiest time of their life, but whenever I recall them I cannot help feeling a little sad. In my young days I disliked any dismal atmosphere and could not bear the feeling of loneliness, yet the fact was that I often lived in a dismal home and frequently had the bitter taste of lonesomeness. I was not cheerful even in the company of my classmates at the grade school I attended. When I was alone at home the dismal atmosphere often filled me with fear even though thought here went to work in the morning but always came later than I did. For a young person like me t was too bad. Not until I was about sixteen years old had I outgrown t feeling of fear. Then there was that nagging feeling of loneliness either at home of at school. My father changed his job several times and with each change of his job we had to move and I had to attend a different grade school. Before I finished my elementary education I had attended three grade schools and thus it was difficult for me to cultivate enduring friendships. The feeling of being friendless was a constant source of pain to me. Those unhappy grade school days have of course long been over. I still have an abhorrence for any dismal atmosphere and lonesomeness, but hardened by experience I now find them less disturbing than they were.

The summer holiday is going to the end. I am happy in the holiday, because I do a lot of things. Now, the new term is coming, so I must make a plan for it. In the new term, I must work harder. I did not do very well in the last term. Therefore, I want to make progress in the new term. Besides, I want to do some more readings. Books are the best resources to get knowledge. So I want to make good use of books to improve myself. Finally, do exercise regularly. A healthy body is the basic of other things. I must take part in exercise to keep healthy. My school life is very common. I get up at six o’clock every morning from Monday to Friday. And the I would go running with my classmates, as our head teacher says health is the most important thing. After running I have to do morning exercises on the playground. Then I can have breakfast. Having breakfast, I need to have morning reading. Oh, I almost forget that all of the students have to do some cleaning before breakfast. There come the various classes. Then noon comes. Having lunch, I will go to sleep.
