而这条盘踞在群山之中的巨龙，是从战国时期开始修建的，当时是为了抵御北方少数民族的骚扰，秦汉明朝都重修过长城，而我们现在的长城是明代留下来的长城。

来到八达岭脚下，远远望去，只见长城连绵起伏，气势磅礴，极为壮观，我终于亲眼目睹了古代人民智慧的结晶。

我来不及多想，坐上滑车，来到长城上，只见长城是用一块块砖头建造的，它的建筑结构包括垛口、烽火台、关城、军用道路等，道路很宽，可以五马并行。往前望去，长城连绵不断，像一条巨龙，它东起山海关，西至嘉峪关，横卧在中华大地上。往城下望去，是悬崖峭壁，我不禁为古人造长城的智慧所折服。

长城可真陡啊!有些坡度只有一百三十度，要不是旁边有栏杆，我早就像皮球一样滚下去了，它的陡真可以和黄山的险相媲美;长城可真长啊，在连绵的山中看不到尽头，好不容易走了四个烽火台，算起来才走了全部的万分之一，真可谓是万里长龙啊!

站在一个烽火台上，我眺望眼前的长城，心里被这建筑史上的奇迹所折服。我真心希望，祖国能继续的强大下去，就犹如这长城般霸气。
