清晨，我们顶着烈日来到了八达岭长城的脚下，之间长城沿着山脉蜿蜒起伏，首尾皆不见。“哇，长城好长呀！”我不禁惊叹道。“是呀，它海拔最高点有888米呢！”爸爸笑着对我说，“加油，我们一定要爬到最高点呀！”

一开始登长城的路是没有台阶的，所以很好走，我们不费吹灰之力就爬上了第3个烽火台。到了第4个烽火台，斜坡上有了台阶，没有扶手的墙壁也有了辅助工具——把手。此时我已是气喘吁吁，爸爸扶着我，说“怎么，才爬了这么一点就累了？你要拿出平时疯玩的劲道呀！”听了爸爸的话，我似乎又有了力气，抓好了扶手一步一步地向上爬，“嘿咻、嘿咻”不一会儿，我们就爬上了第八个烽火台。

我向山下望了一望，哇塞，车辆行人似乎都变小了！抬头往长城的最高点看去，路还有那么长，台阶也越来越陡了。于是，我开始打起了退堂鼓：“累死了，不爬了我们乘缆车下去吧！”“你想想，只要再登两个烽火台，我们就到最高峰了，你如果不爬了，那不是前功尽弃了吗？”爸爸望着我说。“好吧，我一定会爬到最高峰的！我要证明给你看，我是最强的！”我趾高气昂地说。
