Chusok ("fall evening") is a Korean "Harvest Moon" (Han-gawi) festival set

on the 15th day of the eighth lunar moon. Chusok (韩国中秋节)， also known as the

Korean Thanksgiving or Mid-Autumn Festival， is one of the most celebrated Korean

holidays. It occurs during the harvest season. Thus， Korean families take this

time to thank their ancestors for providing them with rice and fruits.

The celebration starts on the night before Chusok and ends on the day after

the holiday. Thus， many Korean families take three days off from work to get

together with family and friends.

The celebration starts with a family get-together at which rice cakes

called "Songphyun" (蒸糕) are served. These special rice cakes are made of rice，

beans， sesame seeds， and chestnuts. Then the family pays respect to ancestors by

Community activities include masked dance， Kanggangsuwollae， an ancient

circle dance， tug-of-wars and the tortoise game， kobuk-nori (乌龟游戏)， in which two

men dress as a tortoise and tour the village dancing and performing for food and

reaffirm familial and community ties.

In China, there is a saying that the children who live in the countryside areEarly-maturing, it is not about the physiology, it is about the mentality. The reason for the children being premature is various. Some children live in an unhappy family, such their parents get divorced or their parents don’t get along with each other. Friends are part of people’s life, we can’t live without friends, or we

will be isolated from the society. When we have troubles, most people will think

of their friends in the first time, for they don’t want the parents know their

hard time. While most peole are losing their friends when they don’t know how to

keep friendship.

Before I went to high school, I lived in the coutryside, where I made a lot

of friends. There was a girl who lived next my house was my best friend, we

talked and share about everything. But when I moved to another city, we had to

be aparted, though I promised her that I would write to her as I had the time, I

only insisted for about half a year. Then I met new friend and I became lazy, we

talked less and less, finally, we lose touch.

Now I have new friends, but I still miss my best friend, our friendship is

lossing as our communication stops. No matter how busy we are, we need to keep

in touch with our friends, don’t let the time takes away this precious

relationship.

Once I had a very good friend, but since we had different opinions on the

problem, we never talked to each other again and we lost our friendship. So I

was wondering if the long time friendship existed. Later I met a new friend, we

shared the same interest and she showed me the good qualities, such as patience

and kindness. Sometimes when we had argument, she would not angry and left a

while to let me calm down. Now I learn to be considerate. I cherish our

I’m going to the sun on my holiday. I will go there by a spaceship. I will take a big blue spaceship。

At eight o’clock, I will play with my friends there. they are super dog and super girl. Super dog is white and black. Super girl is very clever. Super girl and super dog like to play with me. So I play with them for forty minutes. then I do my homework in my little red room on a small blue table. After my home work, I will have my lunch. I will eat sun salad. Long long ago, many families had three or four children. They couldnt look after everyone well, so the children must do everything by themselves. They were too poor to go to school. Some of them liked learning, but they had to go to find jobs to make money. Since they were children, they could do lots of difficult things like their parents. Sometimes they even did better than them!

But now, many families have only one child and they regard their child as a pearl. They did everything for the children. Every day, when the child gets up, their parents help him to make the room clean. They also get breakfast ready for their child. When the child is free, they can sleep or do other things, but they neednt do any housework. So many children cant cook; wash their clothes, some dont even know how to clean the floor. That’s too bad.

In the future, many families will have computers. We can work on the computer instead of going out to do everything. The children also can learn on the computers, so they dont need to move! After a long time, well become fatter and fatter. We wont be able to do anything by ourselves!

So, which way is good for us? We must think more.

Health is most important for any of us. ]n order to stay healthy, we need some common knowledge.

First]y, pay attention to the diet. We should eat lots of fruit and vegetables, because they are rich in fiber and Iow in fat. As a proverb says, An apple a day keeps the doctor away. Christmas is one of the most important celebrations of the year for the western countries. it falls on the twenty- fifth of december and has the same importance as chinese new year to people with english backgrounds. the celebration is for the birth of jesus christ, who is the son of god in christianity. now days christmas is no longer only celebrated by the christians, but by most people from all over the world.

On the twenty- fourth of december everyone gets excited for it’s the day before christmas which is called christmas eve. the children are usually sent to bed early and are warned that “santa claus will only come and give you a present if you be good.” the younger kids actually believe that santa will come down the chimney on the sleigh that’s pulled by his reindeers. food like short bread and beer are prepared for santa when he comes, however most times parents just eat them. some children put socks and sacks up for the holding of the presents (that their parents put in).

Rise and shine on christmas morning! the children are always the first ones to wake up, some even do at four. present wrappers everywhere! they look into their presents with a big smile on their face and oh dear….i hope no one’s disappointed. i feel sorry for anyone that got pink underwear. children play while dinner is prepared by the adults. the christmas dinner are usually eaten together by relatives. the tradition of christmas pudding and roosters are usually eaten with deserts afterwards. the rest of the day is usually games and fun before the good days all come to an end.
