首先从住房说起吧。以前在小榄镇，看到的不是高楼大厦，而是破破烂烂、东倒西歪的泥屋、瓦屋。你说，在里面挨挨挤挤住了几代人，雨天时还会漏水，怎么住呢？想要找点好的住房啊，那可真是寥寥无几了。不过现在可就截然不同了。现在一进入小榄镇，看到的是一座座顶天立地的高楼大厦；古老的泥瓦屋也不见了，映眼的是漂亮又干净的水泥小别墅。甚至有条件更好的还去外地买豪华的洋房去了。人们有了固定的职业，收入好了，住房的条件也更好了。

家用电器也是不少的。像冰箱、洗衣机、电脑、空调等，现在在家乡里可真是数不胜数了。电视机就是人们必备的电器，几乎家家都有一台。

说起电视，我又想起了爷爷奶奶说的那种黑白电视。以前的电视都是黑白的，很不清晰，而且经常都会出现“雪花”和“木纹”，看起来特别扎眼睛。现在就不同了。现在的电视各种各样，有液晶的、壁挂的、超薄的，而且还是彩色的，特别清晰。还配有遥控器，调起频道来特别方便。在家里轻轻一按，就可以了解到天下事，浏览各地的大好河山。这可真是电视的重大变化啊！

人们的衣着变化也很大。以前的衣服裤子，不是黑色的，就是棕色的；不是棕色的，就是灰色的。颜色特别深沉，看上去，让人的心情也特别不好。可现在呢，衣服可以说是五花八门。红橙黄绿青蓝紫，要什么颜色有什么颜色。而且还有了运动服、西服、休闲服……既时尚又漂亮。放眼望去，让人感到特别顺眼。这就像人们说的——赶上时代了！

俗话说：“民以食为天。”食物这方面的变化可就大了。在以前，人们都是粗茶淡饭，饥一顿饱一顿。很多人们一年都吃不上一顿肉，吃的是咸菜、稀饭、干番薯……要是现在让我们吃，我们就是舔舔也不愿意。以前的孩子也没有什么“胖子”、“高人”，他们个个都是面黄肌瘦、骨瘦如柴的啊！看着就让人心酸。如今，每餐都是大鱼大肉的，想吃什么就吃什么，应有尽有。还有什么比萨、炸鸡腿……要是在以前，可是连想都不用想了。小胖子也多了。不过可不要挑食呀！而且，人们煮饭也不是用那种炉火坑了，取之以待的是煤气、电饭煲、微波炉、电磁炉等干净又卫生的厨房用具，做起饭来香喷喷的，可好吃啦！

改革开放三十年，人们的衣食住行和以前可真是天渊之别。现在人人都丰衣足食了，很多以前人们想都不敢想的事情，现在都已经变成现实了。看到人们一张张幸福的笑脸，听到经济建设又向前迈进一步的消息，我不禁感叹到：我们的家乡在变化，祖国在腾飞！
