human activity has damaged natural environment and almostexaustednatural resources. modern industry needs more and moreresources,including minerals, fuels and water. so we confront ofthe seriousproblems such as the lack of fuels and water.ecological balance isdamaged because factories occupy many placeswhere animals andplants live. more and more buildings areconstructed and forestsbecome less and less. if we cannotrecognize these problems andsolve them soon, we would finally losethe environment suitable forour living.an other serious problem is the green-house effect.humanactivity decreases forests and increases the usage of fuels sothatthe gas of carbon dioxide is output more and more and there arenotenough plants to absorb it. the green-house effect is moreobviousand more sensible these years. due to the effect, icebergsin thesouth polar and north polar melt and the sea level becomeshigherthan before. i am worried about the cities nearby the sea andhopescientists find an effective method to eliminate thegreen-houseeffect.

although we have advanced machines and our life seemsmorecomfortable than before, we have less chances to approachnaturesand less spaces to act. the cities become bigger and if wewant tohave a picnic with our friends, we have to drive a longdistance tofind a natural place. in fact, the spaces of humanactivity arebeing damaged by the skyscrapers and factories.from the above statements, we can conclude that humanactivitybrings the earth many damages. fortunately people haverecognizedthe point and i believe that the earth will become abetter placeto live with our ceaseless efforts.

How to save environment? I think we should do the followings: First, it’s best to ride a bike to school, don’t take a bus or a taxi. Second, I will remember to turn off the lights when I leave the classroom.

Third, in my free time, I will collect the empty bottles and waste paper for recycling. The fourth idea is turning off the shower when I ‘m not using it. Fifth, it is imporment to save water and money.

Also, I won’t spend too much money on expensive things. Last, we had better not cut down the trees, we have to take care of the trees . I’ll try my best to save the energy, I hope I can do something for our country.

春天来了，小燕子多么想念他在北方的家,想念北方的动物朋友啊！于是他迫不及待地飞回北方。等他快飞到家门口时，远远看去天空上浓烟滚滚，刺鼻的气味扑鼻而来，黑色的烟雾到处弥漫，像夏天要下雨的又浓又厚的乌云，遮住了半边天。小燕子顺着浓烟的方向望去，发现是一间工厂排出的废气，工厂里三根又高又大的烟囱，不断地向天空喷出浓烈气味的黑烟。他不明白这是怎么回事，便飞去小河边找他去年结为兄弟的鱼哥哥问个究竟，等他飞到小河边，只见河面到处漂浮着五颜六色的塑料袋等垃圾，河里的水已经变了颜色，发出阵阵臭味。他找啊找，好不容易在小河河面找到正浮出水面大口大口地呼吸空气的鱼哥哥。

小燕子感到很奇怪，便问鱼哥哥：“鱼哥哥，你为什么要浮出水面呢？是不是在观看天上的乌云？”

鱼哥哥叹了一口气，说：“别提了，你看那里，有一条管子从工厂一直伸到小河里，工厂里有毒的废水经过这条管子全都排到河里来，把河水给污染了，仅仅几个月的时间，现在河水变得又脏又臭，并且有毒，水里缺少氧气，我们根本不能生活了，我家里大部分的兄弟姐妹都给毒死或缺氧死掉了，现在只剩下我自己，水里缺氧，我才迫不得已浮出水面呼吸空气。现在是过一天算一天了。”

小燕子看了看附近的工厂，问道：“鱼哥哥，那是一间什么样的工厂？那黑乎乎的烟雾，人类就不管了吗？”

鱼哥哥气愤地说：“那是一间化学加工厂，从烟囱里排出的黑乎乎的烟雾就是废气，它把整个城市的天空都笼罩了。从河边管子里排出的是污水。还有，一天里，工厂里的噪音就像打雷一样，让我不得安宁，我的爸爸、妈妈、哥哥、妹妹、等全部都给污水、废气、噪音、这三种‘利器’杀害了，所以我把它们叫做‘杀害生灵的魔鬼’。”说话间，一阵“轰隆隆”的声音从工厂里传来，声音刺耳，把它们说话的声音给盖住了。

鱼哥哥又说：“你的家也快没了，你看，人类大量砍伐森林，破坏自然环境，一旦暴风雨袭来，风沙袭来，恐怕连高楼大厦也倒塌。还有，刚才我们讲到的工厂里的废气，含有大量的汞、铅、镉等有害物质，而植物里的叶绿素最怕这些东西，于是，时间一长，植物都枯萎了。”

小燕子百思不得其解，人类为什么要制造这么多毒素、乱砍伐森林，不爱护环境。鱼哥哥好像看出了小燕子的心思，便说：“那是人类只图眼前的蝇头小利，而.不惜牺牲长远利益，乱砍伐、乱排放，根本没有进行污水、废气处理，有害的物质大量增加，时间一长，自然界无法自我更新，使我们这些花草树木、虫鸟禽兽无法生存。那人类赖以生存的基础也没有了，如果不保护环境，人类早晚会步灭亡的后尘。”

听了鱼哥哥的这番话，小燕子心里久久不能平静，他想：我应该去大声呼吁，人类啊，不能再破坏大自然了。要保护环境，使自然界生态不会遭到破坏，这是人类的基础啊，环境好了，地球就会更美好！

With the improvement of our living standard， more and more people can afford a car。 As a result， our roads are more often than not crammed with cars。 However， with more and more waste gas being discharged by the cars， the problem of air pollution bees even more serious。 So nowadays we advocate to lead a low-carbon life。

My suggestion is we should ride bikes more often instead of driving cars。By riding a bike， we can not only exercise our body but also protect our environment。 Why not have a try， my dear friends?

My house have a garden downstairs, where flowers bloom all the year round, is the main place to neighbors leisure entertainment. The children often play there, I also liked to play there.

Homework today, I came to visit my good friends in the garden, flowers, they found flowers side there are a lot of rubbish. Think of "the teacher said to protect the environment is the responsibility of each one of us", I immediately ran over to pick up all the rubbish into the dustbin, at this moment, the other side of the garden came the cries of children: Peng Linqian, come and play! Without hesitation, I run past, all the trash in the underground (bin) back to their home. Then, the people around to me to approval.

我家楼下有一个花园，那里一年四季都有鲜花盛开，是邻居们休闲娱乐的主要场所。小朋友们也经常在那里嬉戏，我也特别喜欢到那里玩。

今天做完作业，我又来到花园里看望我的那些好朋友——花，却发现花儿的身边有很多垃圾。想到老师说的"保护环境是我们每一个人应尽的责任"，我立刻跑过去准备把垃圾都捡起来送进垃圾箱，这时，花园的另一边传来小朋友的喊声：彭林茜，快来玩!我不禁停住了脚步，心里像有两个小人在吵架，捡，怕小朋友看见后，说我是捡垃圾的。不捡，就让垃圾静静的躺在那儿?就因为这个问题，让我左右为难。捡还是不捡?问问爸爸妈妈再说吧!

爸爸妈妈正好也朝这边走来，爸爸说："那当然是环保重要，你要从身边的小事做起，不要乱扔垃圾。如果看到地上有垃圾，当然应该捡起来，这样你就为保护环境做了贡献。"妈妈也这么说。

爸爸妈妈的话给了我勇气。环保比面子更重要，他们要说我是捡垃圾的就让他们去说吧!我现在不在乎了。要是一人捡一次垃圾，更多的人就能捡更多的垃圾。那时候的地球一定比现在的地球更干净，更美丽。

我毫不犹豫地跑过去，把地下的垃圾全部送回了他们的家(垃圾箱)。这时，周围的人们向我投来赞许的目光。

How to protect the environment

Good environment can make people feel happy and fit . To improve the environment means to improve our life.

We should plant more trees and flowers around us . We shouldn’t cut them down . We should stop factories from pouring waste water into the river and waste gas into the air.

Whenever we see litter on the ground , we should pick it up and throw it into dusbins. Never spit in public. Don’t draw on public walls. It’s our duty to protect the environment.
