我们人类都生活在一个星球上，那就是地球。地球上，有供我们呼吸的氧气，还有茂密的森林、辽阔的草原、无边无际的海洋、各种各样的动物，构成了美丽的大自然。

可是随着人类的发展，科技的进步，地球已经越来越不堪重负。首先森林面积是大量减少，大片大片的森林被砍伐，土地用来建造城市，树木用来做家具、造纸……，树木生长的速度远远赶不上人类使用的需求。森林是产生氧气的主要场所，一颗树木每天就能生产约100克的氧气，没有了森林，我们人类就没有氧气可以使用，我们就不能生存。我们应该怎么办呢？其实，我们可以从身边的小事做起。

每天，我都要喝鲜牛奶，爸爸妈妈也喝，外公外婆也喝。装牛奶的盒子是用最好的纸做起来的，而最好的纸是由树木化纸浆生产。想想看，我们在喝牛奶的同时，也在“吃”掉一颗颗大树，全球人民一天要“吃”掉多少大树啊！

自从学校里说牛奶盒可以回收，交给造纸厂，化纸浆生产再造纸，从那时起，我就开始收集使用过的牛奶盒。家里每一个牛奶盒我都给清洗干净，凉干后整齐打包，而且，告诉外公外婆，让他们也把用过的牛奶盒都收集起来，等我回老家时一并交给我。这学期，我一共收集了303个牛奶盒，其中有很多是大盒子，总重量达到4公斤多。爸爸说这些牛奶盒需要两颗大树才能制成，也就是说我救下了两颗大树，我好开心啊！

养成习惯，收集所有牛奶盒子，这是我们每个人都可以轻而易举做到的小事，但是，如果大家一起来做，我们是不是能保护很多很多的大树，保护环境，保护地球，不就成了一件大事！所以，保护环境，从小事做起，从我做起！

“爱护环境，人人有责”，这样的标语在城市的大街小巷随处可见。可还是有一些不自觉的人随地吐痰，乱扔果皮纸屑，明明垃圾桶就在不远处，却不肯多走几步……我们生活在同一片蓝天下，都有一个共同的家———地球。如果13亿人都能尽自己微薄的力量，从我做起，从身边的小事做起，爱护环境，保护环境，我们生存的环境就会沐浴在和谐的阳光里，一切都是那么美好，令人向往。
