燃放爆竹对人们的伤害客观存在，它对空气的危害更大呢。烟花爆竹经燃烧后产生的二氧化碳，金属微粒物，等物质会造成空气污染指数严重超标。这样污染的空气，若人们长时间的呼吸，肺部会产生疾患。最不能容忍的是，如果空气再这样污染下去，那我们在桂林生活也要戴着口罩上街了因为调查统计结果显示，山美水美的桂林在全国雾霾指数是倒数第一，这是每个生活在桂林的人都值得骄傲的地方。既然我们桂林的生活环境和空气质量如此的好，何必去破坏它呢？燃放烟花爆竹，既要消费掉血汗钱，又会污染到环境，花钱买苦吃得不偿失，这又是何必？

桂林是我们的家，不管是生活在桂林的主人或是来桂林旅游的客人都应该爱护它。先不说桂林，那些雾霾指数高的城市更应该重视减少燃放烟花爆竹，让我们共同携手爱护我们共同的家——地球吧！

大家好!

草木葱茏，绿树成荫，鸟语花香，空气清新是我们梦寐以求的家园。地球是人类唯一居住的地方，人类要在地球上安居乐业，就要爱护地球，保护环境，维持生态平衡。“天苍苍，野茫茫，风吹草低见牛羊”多么美的一首诗啊!一下子就把我们带到了大自然风光的遐想中，那么美丽和谐，那么生机昂然，可是现在，人类以飞快的速度改造着大自然，一片片树林倒下，一块块绿色消失，一座座高楼建起，一条条污水流出，我们的生存环境遭到了极严重破坏，大气、水、土地被严重污染，自然界的生态平衡受到很大的影响，湿地、酸雨、荒漠化、沙尘暴一次又一次侵袭着地球，难道这还不足以警示我们，保护环境已刻不容缓!地球就好比宇宙间一艘承载生命的航船，而人类是这艘船上的旅客，现在，这艘船漏水了，为什么?因为人类在船上破坏这艘船不可少的设施——环境，所以，从现在开始，我们应该尽全力补好环境漏洞。

我们可以从身边一点一滴的小事做起，比如多植树造林，爱护周围一草一木，不捕猎小动物，见到垃圾就捡起来等。但这些光凭我们的努力还不够，还要号召我们身边的每一个人为保护环境而做出贡献。绿色是多么宝贵啊!它是生命、是希望、是安慰、是快乐。同学们，当你陷入挫折和失意的时候，当你烦恼的时候，回归大自然吧!拥抱大自然吧!大自然可以陶冶人的性情，平静人的情绪，在林间小路上走一走，在草丛中躺一躺，在大树旁靠一靠，拥抱蓝天绿水，闻一闻泥土的芳香，看看地上的蚂蚁不知疲倦的忙碌，一定可以让你的情绪渐渐平和，愁眉苦脸来，笑逐颜开回。

Everyone can do something for our environment. For me, I should try to save electricity in my daily life. For example, if I am the last person leave the classroom in the evening, I will always remember to turn off the lights. In order to protect our forests, I will use paper wisely. I should try to use both sides of paper whenever it is possible. I will not use things like paper cups and disposable chopsticks because they are made of wood. I believe that doing all these small things will improve our environment and help make our world a better place to live in.
