During the rapid declining period from 1700 to 1949, the most serious decrease appeared in the Northeast, the Southwest and the Southeast, where the coverage rate in most provinces dropped over 20%. In Heilongjiang Province, the coverage rate dropped by 50%. In Jilin Province, it dropped by 36%. In Sichuan Province and Chongqing Municipality, it dropped by 42%. It is highly expected that all Chinese people should inherit the merits of Sinology. Therefore, in the first place, we are well-advised to read books by ourselves or to attend lectures on this issue. In the second place, we have the obligation to advocate and encourage others to learn. Then, it is necessary for us to introduce Sinology to the world. By doing so, not only can we inherit it, but also make it glorious and prosperous.

As a colleage student,first ,we should fully realize the importance of studying traditional culture ,such as reading classic books and practice calligraphy and chinese painting ,we also should remember and celebrate our own fesitivals,like the Spring Festival,the Dragon Festival and so on.

Every year on the fourth ThursDayof November is Thanksgiving Day. It’s a festival for American and Canadian with the purpose of thanks for harvest. While canadians celebrate on the second Monday of October. I have a penfriend in America. He wrote to me his Thanksgiving Day last year. He told me that it was a time for family reunion. Families would come back home to celebrate the festival together. Most of the time it was his mother who prepared the dinner. Turkey is must for the festival. It looks like huge chicken. His mother also made pumpkin pie and many other delicious food for them. After the dinner, they talked with each other with the old thing or the future plan. He said sometimes they would invite some friends to share the happiness of Thanksgiving Day. In a word, he had a great time on Thanksgiving Day.

Hello, everybody! My name is Michael. Im a happy boy. Because I laugh everyday. I have a big family. There are three people in my family, my mother, my father and I. My parents are managers and Im a student. I study in Grade Seven, Class Eleven, Dongzhou Middle School. Its a nice place. There are many students in my class. I have a good teacher, Miss Jiang. Today were going to visit Stanford university, a very old university, and its recognized as one of the worlds most distinguished universities.

Our bus stopped at Stanford university, and I saw an antique building. All the way forward, the building that was built of stone, though made of stone, was built very fine, with different patterns engraved on it. It was then that I was attracted by a church building, whose metope was a beautiful picture of more than 20,000 pieces of Mosaic, which is the memorial church of Stanford university. At Stanford, there is no lack of sophistication, and even the flowers and plants are so finely manicured that, on a large lawn, the flowers and plants are pruned into a big Stanford university logo.

At Stanford, one hour at a time, we had to be reluctant to say goodbye to her. This famous university has given me so much hope that I can go to this university when I grow up.
