Protect Our Environment It is important to beal with the rubbish in cities. Our world was colorful,beautiful and full of life. But these years, people have built many factories along rivers. Many trees have been cut down. Many animals have lost their homes. Factories cause pollution. Rivers become polluted. As a student, you should do every things in your everyday life to protect them. First, stop wasting more water. Second, throw waste things into different dustbins. For example, waste paper should be throw into paper recyclable bins. Third, stop cutting down trees. Today I am very glad here to share my opinionsabout the protection of environment.

With the development ofscience and technology ,different kinds of pollution has been produced andcaused global concern recently.

As we know, people have beenliving on the earth for thousands of years, human activity damaged natural environment, such as excessive abuse of natural resources ,the sewage dischargedfrom factories ,the animal slaughter ,kinds of chemical fertilizers andgreen-house effect. All that is mentioned above has a bad impact on the eco-system .Now, many animals aredying out. We are suffering from unhealthy food and water, we are faced withharmful rays and global warming. It was ourselves who had made a series oftroubles. As you can see, we are the final victim.

Above all, if we human beings cannot recognize theseserious problems and try our best to solve them soon, we would finally lose theenvironment suitable for us to live. So, it is our duty to protect theenvironment ,but what should we do to protect it?

In my opinion, the first and important thing is tounite all forces ,that is to say---gather all hearts together. Next we shouldprotect and plant more trees, which can dispose of the dust in the air. As forfamilies, it is effective to ride bicycles rather than drive cars. Don’t litteranywhere as you like. In addition, sorting and recycling the rubbish also playan essential role in the protection of our earth. We’d better call on everyone aroundus to lead a low-carbon life, as it may make a difference to the environment.

Man and His Environment

Throughout history man has changed his physical environment in order to improve his way of life. With the tools of technology he has altered many physical features of the earth. He has transformed woodlands and prairies into farms and made lakes and reserviors out of rivers for irrigation purposes or hydroelectric power. Man has also modified the face of the earth by draining marshes and cutting through mountains to build roads and railways.

However, mans changes to the physical environment have not always had beneficial results. Today, pollution of the air and water is an increasing danger to the health of the planet. Each day thousands of tons of gases come out of the exhausts of motor vehicles. Smoke from factories pollutes the air of industrialized areas and the surrounding areas of the countryside. The pollution of water is equally harmful. The whole ecological balance of the sea is being changed and industrial wastes have already made many rivers lifeless.

Now environmental protection is more pressing than ever before. As we know, massive destruction of environment has brought about negative effects and even poses a great threat to mans existence. Indifference to these problems will mean committing suicide. Therefore, effective measures should be taken and laws passed to conserve environment. Otherwise,man is certain to suffer from the serious consequences caused by this lack of care for his living surroundings.

我是忍无可忍了，才给您写这封信的。

现在我生活的地方臭气熏天，河水黑乎乎的，如同墨汁一般。想起我童年时，这条小河清澈见底，都可以当镜子用了。我和许多好朋友每天自由自在、无忧无虑地玩耍、嬉戏。可是慢慢地，这条河被污染了，朋友们逃的逃，死的死，一片悲惨的景象。到最后，只剩下我一条上半身还在努力挣扎、下半身已经腐烂成森森白骨的鱼了!哎，罪魁祸首就是可恶的人类。

Water is a kind of liquid. It has no taste or smell. It is transparent, too. Water is useful and is important to us. Why? For example, we use water to water the plants. We use water to wash our face or to have a bath. We drink water or we will die…Water is also very important for China. There are 2.8 hundred millions of steres of water in China, but everyone can only use 2300 steres. It is only twenty–five per sent in the world.

Not too long ago, there was a man called Jacques Cousteau. He loved the beautiful colors, and the beautiful fish in the sea. However, when he returned some years later, the colorful coral reefs were dead and grey because the factory near the sea poured waste water into the sea. Jacques Cousteau decided to tell people how important it was to save the environment under the sea. He started the“ Cousteau Society ” to help protect life in the sea. Now there are over 30000 members all over the world. Since water covers most of the earth, Cousteau knew that we should keep the sea clean. We should not litter the sea, and should clean up the dirty parts. As water is very important to our environment, he encouraged everyone to take part in protecting our lakes, rivers, sea and ocean.

There are still a few people who are not protecting the water now in the world. For example, some factories pour waste things into the rivers, lakes or into the sea near by. The water there has become very dirty and we can’t use them at all. Although there are seventy–five per sent of water in the world, we can only use fresh water, that there is only a little. So we should use little water when we need to use it. For example, I do not use too much water when I am washing my face or having a bath… It is important for us to keep the water clean. You may ask yourself, have I ever poured or thrown dirty things into the water? If your answer is “No”, that means you have already helped to protect the environment. It is our duty to protect the environment. You may ask yourself again, have I ever helped to clean up the water? If your answer is “Yes”, that means that you have already done something useful to improve the water. If we use up all the water, it is difficult for us to get it from anywhere, including the universe. It is terrible to think that people are too thirsty to live! I believe, that if everyone helps to protect the water, the water must be protected. You do not want to “kill” your son or your grandson, do you? So now let us to protect the water! 还有一种最可怕的污染——水土污染，近期许多工厂都在排放大量的污水，这些污水流入土壤中，把那些优质的土壤变为了死土，导致农作物生长不出来，就算长出来了，那些植物都是不健康的植物。除了这些污水之外，另外的污水汇入小溪，小溪里的水又汇入河湖以及海洋，水里随处可见死去的鱼漂在水面上。这些污水又经过太阳的照射变成水蒸气，水蒸气变成雨降落下来，导致农作物枯死，人的皮肤溃烂……

地球妈妈在哭泣，我们怎样对待她，她就怎样对待我们。所以我们一定要保护环境，保护我们生存的家园。

这个节日的由来逝代中国有一位博学多闻的官吏屈原，他是一位爱民而且又受到尊崇的官吏，但是由於一位充满嫉妒的官吏陷害，从此在朝廷中被皇帝所冷落。由於无法获得皇帝的重视，屈原在忧郁的情况下投汨罗江自尽。

由於对屈原的爱戴，汨罗江畔的居民匆忙的划船在江内寻找屈原，并且将米丢入汨罗江中，以平息汨罗江中的蛟龙。即使他们当时并没有找到屈原，但是他们的行为，直到今天在端午节的时候，仍然被人们传颂纪念著。

大家都见过随手乱丢垃圾的人，自己可能也做过随地乱丢垃圾的事，可是如果每天都乱丢东西的话，地球就会变成一个垃圾场，那是一个多么可怕的事情，所以我向大家提出以下几点要求：

1、有关部门应加大宣传力度。

2、应自觉将垃圾分类后放入垃圾桶中。

3、我们应自觉保护周围的环境。

小时候，总喜欢依偎在奶奶怀里听奶奶讲那七彩祥云上的传说。那时的家乡实在美极了，碧水蓝天，绿树环合，即使在夏天最热时也不需要开风扇，那时的我们在树阴下睡觉、嬉戏……。

曾经如此美好，而如今极端天气总神出鬼没。极端天气像吃家常便饭一样频繁—1976年唐山大地震。地震来临之前，天空闪出五颜六色的光，地球已伸出魔爪去拽住那些不择手段破坏环境的目光短浅的小人。2008年汶川地震，死亡人数众多，地震是凶残的恶魔，是无情的吗？不，这是人类自作自受。人类的恶劣行为使地球母亲千疮百孔。2011年夏，皖地区下起了暴雨，雨连续下了四五天，庄稼都被水腐食，这是雨吗，这是雨吗？不，它是地球母亲的泪……

就最近一段时间来看，正值春末夏初，就往年而言，此时已能穿短上衣，但我们还时不时穿褂子。空中还时常弥漫大量沙土。沙漠化日益严重，大气受到污染。就连家乡的曾经那片沃土也已沙化，农作物生长缓慢。这些现象无一不说明环境污染严重，曾经的青山绿水已不复存在。

保护环境迫在眉睫，我们是中华少年，是祖国花朵，是21世纪的主宰。我们应该从小事做起保护环境。如：不乱扔垃圾，不随地吐痰，爱护花草树木等。青少年是社会上最受关注的群体，相信我们的环保意识会让全世界人民行动起来，争做环保小卫士。

为了实现凡水必清，凡地必洁，凡山必绿的愿望；为了让那七彩祥云重现；为了让地球母亲不再满目疮痍，中华少年们，行动起来，让我们携手共建美好地球村。
