The last factor that has made our age so uncomfortable is the abusive use of technology. Although it brings much convenience, it essentially changes human – we are no longer the master of tools, but instead the slaves of devices. However, the comparison between different times is itself ridiculous. The criteria could not be easily determined, and opinions are highly personal. Anyway, we have a longer life span, more advanced medical facilities, and easier traffic than our grandparent when they were children, and we should treasure the present experience. 衣着方面有着很大的变化，上世纪50、60年代服装颜色单一，只有灰、黑、蓝三种颜色，样式简单，布料粗糙的服装，70、80年代出现喇叭裤、健美裤，90年代又出现了文化衫，但样式还是屈指可数。21世纪的服装出现了巨大的改变，人们纷纷去追求个性、时尚、品牌。

饮食的变化也不少，对于爷爷，奶奶那一辈人来说，能上吃棒茬粥、杂面馒头、没有油的炒菜和咸菜就不错了。现在我们的饮食得到了很大的改善，菜场、超市的食品数不胜数，普通的百姓都能吃上鸡鸭鱼肉。而且，人们对于食物的要求也越来越高，不仅要吃好，而且还要吃得健康，人们开始讲究营养均衡。

住房的变化就更大了，在建国初期，人们的居住情况大多是一大家子挤在一起，本来就不宽敞的屋子显得更拥挤。当时房子就是个遮风挡雨的地方，所以大多是土房或砖房。到了建国中期，出现了单元楼，百姓脱离了平房。建国60年，平房十分稀有，大部分人住进了单元楼，还有人拥有了别墅。

出行的变化可以说是最大的，70年代，哪家有个自行车在村里就无人不知，无人不晓了。80年代又出现了摩托车，谁家有一辆都会炫耀一下。如今，交通工具多种多样，方便快捷，寻常百姓都会有一辆小轿车。出租车服务百姓，空中航线、远洋客轮带你到世界各地，轨道交通四方八达，即使是住在农村，居民出行也不难。
