Now I’m studying in Hunan First Normal College, which is Chairman Mao’s former school. I major in English, because I find it so fun and interesting. As far as I’m concerned, our English Department is the best department in our college. The teachers in our department are knowledgeable, experienced, and warm-hearted. And my classmates are nice, friendly and helpful. Thus, I have a good atmosphere to study. When I have difficulties in study, I always ask my teachers for help or discuss with my classmates. Through their help, I have made great progress in my English study.

我现在在湖南第一师范学校学习，这是主席之前呆过的学校。我的专业是英语，因为我觉得它很有趣。我觉得我们英语系是我校最好的学部。我们系的老师知识渊博，经验丰富，热心肠。我的同学们也很和蔼，友好，乐于助人。因此，我拥有一个很好的学习氛围。当我在学习上遇到困难时，我总是向我的老师寻求帮助或与同学讨论。在他们的帮助下，我在英语学习上取得了很大的进步。

College life is much different from high school life. In college, we should acquire knowledge as well as improve our integrated abilities. There are a lot of English classes for us to learn, such as Basic English, Oral English, Listening, Reading, Writing, Translation, Grammar, English Literature, and so on. I enjoy these classes very much. Except English, we have many other subjects to learn. Life seems so busy here but it’s so fruitful for me.

大学生活与高中生活有很大的不同。在大学，我们要获取知识也要提高我们的综合能力。我们要上很多的英语课，比如，基础英语，英语口语，听力阅读，写作，翻译，语法，英语文学等。我非常喜欢这些课。除英语外，我们还要学习很多其他科目。在这里生活是如此的忙碌，但这对我来说是如此丰硕的收获。

After class, I usually go to the English Corner. There I can practice my oral English by talking with foreigners or chatting with my schoolmates. Now, I’m able to communicate with foreigners well. Sometimes I also take part in some social activities. For instance, last weekend I attended an interesting play. As it was my first performance, I felt a little nervous at the beginning. But when I appeared on the stage, I made every audience laugh happily. I was so proud of myself at that moment, because this was my first achievement.

Learning in the classroom, listening to the radio, watching television, reading books and newspapers, surfing the Internet, with relatives and friends communication, are in the access to information. Our information tools are: radio, telephone, television, computer. Mom and dad are now have their own a mobile phone, with friends and family contact is convenient. Modern technology has brought many changes to our lives.

We originally only through writing and distant friends, it is not convenient. Now we have installed computers with broadband network, convenient, on the edge of everything. Once the teacher left a job, lets get some story about celebrities. If it is the original, but also the newspapers, books, a check is an hour or two. 我们生活在一个信息世界里。在教室里学习，听广播，看电视，读书看报，上网浏览，与亲戚，朋友通信，都是在获取信息。现代社会信息量越来越多，传递信息的速度也越来越快，人们获取信息的途径也越来越广。我家的信息工具有：收音机，电话，电视，电脑。现在爸爸妈妈都各自有一不手机，与朋友，家人联络也方便了很多。现代科技给我们的生活带来了不少变化。

我们家原来只能通过写信和远方的朋友联系，实在不方便。现在我们家安装上了电脑有了宽带网，一切都边的方便起来。有一次老师留了一项作业，让我们找一些关于名人的事迹。如果是原来，还要翻报纸，查书，一查就是一两个小时。而现在只要打开电脑，上了网，输入你想要得查的资料，过几秒钟资料便会出现在屏幕上。大大提高了我做作也的效率。

现在，我家装上了电脑，与远在日本的哥哥联系也方便了。只要坐在电脑前，轻点鼠标，上了宽带网，进入QQ视频聊天室，我和哥哥便可以面对面交谈了。记得有一次，哥哥把日本樱花盛开的录像传送给我，我看到樱花，就好像闻到它散发出的淡淡清香，就好像我也在那樱花盛开的海洋里一样。我虽然没去过日本，但在我和哥哥的交谈和传送图片中，使我了解了很多关于日本的事情，这就是网络带给我的乐趣。

未来的社会是一个信息话的社会，我们坐在家里也可以获取来自世界各地的最新信息。那真可谓是“秀才不出门，尽知天下事”

我们生活的世界由于对环境的破坏，正变得越来越难以忍受。禽流感和非典是两个典型的例子，环境破坏可能威胁我们的生活。此外，森林破坏、水和空气污染导致耕地减少和极端天气。

放爆竹是小朋友们最喜欢的，可是爆竹有时候很危险，要在家长的陪护下才能玩噢!小朋友千万不要独自放爆竹哦!

我们还会吃团圆饭，穿新衣服，妈妈婶婶阿姨都忙活着炒菜，我们却在旁边一边玩着，那时候的情景多么忙活啊!
