首先是要练习基本功，因为我是成年以后才开始打球，根本就没有基本功，有的就是“野路子”，当然不能跟那些高水平的正规军相提并论。于是我买来有关乒乓球的训练书籍，光碟参考学习，并废寝忘食地练习手上功夫，如对拉、对搓、削球，攻球等。有时候我找不到对手与我进行练习，我就自己对着镜子不停的挥动手臂，纠正自己的手型。并且我还买来哑铃练习手臂力量，为的是增加攻球的力度和速度。有时我与同伴练习完回到家，还觉得打得不过瘾，于是我又将乒乓球吊在空中再次练习。

通过一定时间的训练我的水平有了进步，我打球的兴趣越来越大。这时，我又进一步的练习发球的技巧。如上旋、下旋、侧旋等等，加上发球时的假动作，光发球方法就有十几种。这又让我花费很长的时间去练习。不过高兴的是，我发现自己还学的很快，原来我打不赢的对手，现在很多我都能打赢了。竞技体育的魅力在这个时候就彰现无遗了。

当然，打球输赢都会有，俗话说“强中更有强中手”，所以对胜负没有必要太在意，更多的我是体会与朋友交流的快乐，以及享受这种运动给我带来的好处，那就是让我身体更强、更壮。

在3年前的暑假里，我和爸爸妈妈到姐姐家去玩，我高兴极了，为什么呢?因为姐姐在电话里说来了就可以带我去游泳，从未游过泳的我，心想一定会好玩吧!到了后，我和姐姐，还有俺爸，我们三人一起去玩了。一来到游泳馆，我和姐姐换上泳衣，迫不及待地下到了水里。我不会游泳，所以，一直有一个吃得饱饱的“胖东西”陪着我。我一开始感觉非常新奇，靠游泳圈在水里刨来刨去。在岸上活蹦乱跳的我，到水里就“跳”不起来了，感觉很是费力，看见别人在水里自由自在地游，我就感到自己真没用，就想打退堂鼓，不想游了，可爸爸却不准我上去，像在赶“鸭子”似的，说：“快去游泳，你不是很喜欢游泳吗，干嘛不游了?”我只好又缩回水中。在我失望时，姐姐游过来，教了我一些游泳技巧，并让我慢慢摸索其中的要领。别说还真管用，我游得比以前轻松多了。后来姐姐说要和我比赛看谁游得快，一开始姐姐就游得很快，像小鱼一样，我怎么也追不到她。我输了，但我很高兴，因为我进步了。紧接着我说：“我们来憋气吧!看谁憋得久。”我很有信心，我边笑边想：这次我一定要赢。我大吸一口气，一头栽入水中，我有点开始恍惚了，但我知道，我一定要赢的，我忍～～。大概过了10秒左右，姐姐忍不住了，将头抬上去了。“我赢了!”我大声喊了起来，我高兴极了，终于如我愿了。尝到了胜利的滋味，不知不觉2个多个小时过去了，我们要回家了。我依依不舍的爬上岸，告别了游泳池。

在游泳池里发生的每一件小事，都令我难忘，每个第一次都有不同的味道，有酸。甜。苦。辣等，每个第一次都是新奇的，每个第一次都让人回味无穷的。

Many countries try their best to bid forhosting the Olympic Games. And every country does its best to get more medals in the Games. In 2000, the city of Sidney held the 27th Olympic Games. Over one hundred countries all over the world took part in it. We won 28gold medals that year. China, a major sport country, will hold the 29th Olympic Games in 2008. People from all walks of life are participating in various activities and making good preparations for it. There are five rings on the Olympic flag, which are considered to symbolize, the five continents: Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia and America. The Olympic motto is: "Swifter, higher, stronger." The Games can promote the understanding and friendship among different peoples and different nations.

Do you know about holidays? We like holidays. Parents and children enjoy holidays. Children receive many gifts from their parents. Parents also receive gifts from their good children.

Holidays are about happiness! Holidays are about a lot of food and drinks! Holidays are about families! Holidays are about beautiful clothes! Holidays are about music and dance! Holidays are about fireworks! Holidays are fun!

People look very happy. They go to restaurants and eat good meals. We see beautiful lights on the streets. We hear holiday music everywhere. We like holidays very much!
