In fact, environmental pollution is a very serious problem the whole world is facing.

It is undeniable that the worsening environment has become the biggest concern of the present-day world. Land resources are dwindling because of water loss and soil erosion. Waste gases poison the air we breathe. The rivers and lakes are polluted by waste dumped in them from factories. It is probably no exaggeration to say that deterioration of the quality of the environment threatens the existence of mankind itself.

Some people are of the opinion that the environmental problem is the price we have to pay for economic development. But I do not think that this argument is valid. After all, what is the point of economic growth if peoples lives are adversely alfected by worsening environmental pollution ?

不可否认环境恶化已成为当今世界最大的问题。土地资源在不断减少,因为水土流失。废气污染着我们呼吸的空气。河流和湖泊被工厂的 倒出来的废弃物所污染。这可以毫不夸张地说,环境质量的恶化威胁着人类的生存。

Today, as the development of the technology, people live a much better life than before, the average wage is promoted highly. The economy develops at the cost of polluting the environment, we can see the pollution everywhere, like the river water is dirty, the situation is so serious that we must take some action to control the environmental pollution. 我喜欢假期，因为我有足够的时间去放松。去年，我和爸爸坐飞机去了新加坡，那儿是个美丽的地方，四季气候宜人，新加坡有许多中国移民，而且那里有许多中国食物，比如面条，饺子，米饭，非常美味，我们在那里购物，观赏了美景，并且品尝了许多美味的食物。这真是一个令人愉快的假期。

地球，这位人类的母亲，这个生命的摇篮，是那么美丽壮 观，和蔼可亲。它孕育出了我们的生命，给予了我们美丽的环境，使大家在世界上一点一滴的长大。姥姥常给我说，她小的时候，附近的土地都是花花绿绿的，庄稼旁还种着高大的杨树，一切都是那么美丽、祥和。可如今呢？随着科技的发展，环境却变了样。种满花草的大山不见了，成了乌烟瘴气的烟囱。清新的空气不见了，而雾霾却被吸到了肺里。 我们从头来想，地球，无私地奉献着我们，而有些人呢，只为了眼前的利益，就毫不留情的伤害她，这样做，真的值得吗？习主席曾说过：“绿水青山就是青山银山！”是呀，环境就是我们的保安！

大家知道吗？森林，被誉为“城市之肺，大自然的总调度室”，对地球有着密不可分的关系。但是，由于我们不珍惜环境，导致大自然的原始森林80%已被破坏，这不是在向我们敲响保护环境的警钟吗？

因此，我郑重的向大家提议：

1、不要像花草树木发起进攻！

2、尽量少用一次性物品。

3、把垃圾扔进垃圾桶。

4、变废为宝。

一份倡议，一份责任，一条建议，一个改变。各位老师，各位同学，让我们呼吁更多人来保护环境吧！
