到了医院，进门一看，除了医生伯伯、护士阿姨以外，还有一屋子的病患。等了好久，好不容易轮到我，医生伯伯问我哪里不舒服，我一五一十的告诉医生伯伯，医生伯伯说我感冒了，开了药方，要我定时吃药;而且要多喝水、多休息，少到公共场所。

郭明义参军之前，只是初中学历。在部队时，他抓住“缝隙时间”学习英语。来到矿山工作后，他每天晚上都骑自行车往返20多公里，到市内的夜校学习。
