After dinner, we always watch tv new year progammes. We have a wonderful evening on new years eve.

On the first day of the spring festival, most of people get up early and say “happy new year” to each other. for breakfast, people often eat dumplings and baozi. After breakfast, people often make many delicious foods, and children often play cards, computer games and fireworks. On the second and third day, we visit friends and relatives.

今天就是英语外研比赛的日子了，我被安排在下午2.30那场，老妈的单位离考场比较近，上午我便跟她去单位值班。

这是初赛，演讲的内容是自我介绍加才艺表演。我看到有的选手准备得真棒!不光自己化了淡妆，还梳了很复杂很漂亮的辫子，有的还穿了美丽的裙子。有不少同学手里拿了画板，上面是他们精心绘制的图画，他们边指着自己的画边小声念着英语，看来他们的才艺表演一定是用英语介绍自己的画了。而我的才艺显得多么的微不足道，我只打算读一首英文小诗。

上午考完的同学在群里发来信息，他们说很简单，评委主要看你的口语能力，觉得背不好的，也可以直接读，我终于有了一些安心。

马上就轮到我了，听到老师念我名字，稿子在我手中抖的更厉害了。原来考场里只有三位评委老师，但其中有一位外国人。我的心开始咚咚跳个不停，手心也开始冒汗。我刚说一句“Hello everyone.”，三位评委老师便微笑着向我点头示意。他们这一微笑，我反而不自在的很，我僵硬的站在他们面前，机械地象在用英文诵经一般，我甚至听到自己的声音就象一只大苍蝇在我周围嗡嗡着飞，它飞飞停停，停停飞飞，可恶极了。我发现三位评委老师都在低着头，记录着什么，也不知他们听清了这“嗡嗡”声没有。自我介绍环节很快就完了，我看没人看我，便拿出稿子，直接读那首“四季”的小诗。依然没人看我，平时读得一点问题都没有，此时竟卡了好几下，自己都觉得糟糕透顶。

三分钟终于结束了，我向三位评委鞠了躬说了“thank you”之后，心情才平静下来。

因为我是最后一场，所以，我来到家长区没多久，就有老师进来，当场宣布进入复赛的同学名单了。老师神采飞扬，声音洪亮，她说：“非常高兴地通知大家，祝贺以下进入复赛的同学，读到名字的同学也请家长一起上台!”

接着老师便念“张三，李四”，没有我的名字!

我沮丧极了，连为大家鼓掌的力气都没有了。

Karl Marx has set a good example for us. He once said, "When one is learning a foreign language, he must use the foreign language." In this way, he could use several languages. A saying goes, "Practice makes perfect." When we learn English, we should read more, speak more, listen to English from time to time and practise writing every day. Dont be afraid of making mistakes. Only in this way can we learn it well.

September 10 is ourTeachers’Day. In the afternoon, Zhonghua school held a celebration meeting, at which more than twenty old teachers each were praised with a medal for their over thirty years of teaching. Our principal made an enthusiastic speech at the meeting, and then the representative of the teachers and students gave a talk to us. After the meeting, we started performances played by some teachers and students, which were very interesting and instructive. We all had a wonderful time. I think we all should respect the teachers, engineers of human soul.

九月十日是教师节，下午中华小学举行了一场庆祝活动，会上有20多位教师授以奖牌，为他们30多年坚守在教育岗位。会上校长做了激情澎湃的演讲，然后分别是老师代表，学生代表发言。会议结束后，我们观看了老师及同学表演的节目，非常有趣且有教育意义，我们度过了很棒的一天。我觉得每个人都要尊敬老师——这位灵魂的工程师。
