寒冬腊月，正是梅花盛开的季节。从福州到永泰的公路两旁到处是雪白的梅花，那梅花，洁白如雪，让你置身于花的海洋，“雪”的世界。许多周边地区的游人驾车慕名而来，观赏这美丽的梅花。

在万物生长的春天，却有一种水果已经成熟了，那就是青梅。青梅以它的脆酸而闻名于世。相传，曹操当时率领军队来到了一个干旱缺水的地方，士兵们又热又渴，这时曹操灵机一动，大声叫道：“前面有一片梅林，那儿有又酸又大的梅子。”士兵们一听，就想到那酸溜溜的梅子，口水情不自禁地往外涌，再也不觉得口渴了。这个“望梅止渴”的典故可以体会到梅子那特别的酸。梅子除了生吃，更多的是做成果脯蜜饯，如清脆梅。相思梅……在炎热的夏日，喝上一罐酸酸的青梅汁既防暑又解渴；在寒冷的冬天，喝上一杯甜甜的青梅酒又驱寒又暖胃。用盐水泡过的青梅还有止泻。化积的功效呢！
