春节也叫“过年”，是我国最隆重、最热闹的一个节日。在过去的传说中有一种非常凶猛的怪兽叫“年”，“年”一来，当地的老百姓都非常害怕。在与年兽的斗争中，人们发现这种怪兽最怕看到火光，听到巨响。于是人们就用柴和竹子一起燃烧，发出的巨响和冲天的火光把年兽吓跑，这就叫“过年”。后来人们就有了过年放鞭炮的习俗。

其实，在我们这儿关于过年的习俗还有很多，比如过年前要打扫卫生，代表辞旧迎新；要办年货、贴春联、剪窗花，门前挂大红灯笼，希望来年日子过得红红火火；倒贴的福字，就是“福到”的意思。在年三十还要守岁，吃年糕，象征新年步步高升！

我喜欢这个喜庆的节日。因为它不仅给我们带来了欢乐，还意味着我们要告别漫漫的寒冬，即将迎来春暖花开的日子，一切都是新的开始。
