Then we visited some other famous places, such as Kew Gardens and Hampstead Heath. Finally, we took a one-day trip to Oxford, which is really the most marvelous town. You should make sure to go there when you visit England.

After we had seen a lot of London, we flew to Paris. A t first, we didnt like the place-I suppose because it was so different from London. Later, though, we began to really love it and started to appreciate its differentness.

The final stage of our trip is a visit to Rome, after which we will be staying in Singapore for two days before returning to Australia.

妈妈，虽然你基本没有误会过我，但是有好多次因为我一天犯了好多错误，再干一件事的时候，你就会说，我这里又错了，怎么怎么样……可是我本来就没做错啊，每当这时候我就想对您说，我到底哪里做错了?可是我又不敢。当时我欲哭无泪，可是你还是一直说我，根本停不下来。我每一次都不哭，是因为我都不会让你们看见。

妈妈，不过我还是特别感谢您的，因为每次爸爸骂我你都会帮我说话。

虽然你们现在不怎么吵架了，但是我希望你们以后再也不要吵架了。因为你们每一次吵架，我都觉得你们是在为我的学习而吵，因此我每次都会自责。

爸爸妈妈虽然你们会误会我，对我乱发脾气，但我最爱的依旧就是你们。

暑假期间，妈妈带我到武汉游玩。武汉到处是高楼大厦，还有交错的立交桥，风景十分优美，但让我印象最深刻的还要数武汉的科技馆。

科技馆真是我们学习科学知识、提高创新能力的好地方。科技馆设有儿童乐园、机器人世界、科学与生活、声与光、电与磁等展区。里面有4D动感电影、会说话的机器人，还有会称体重的乌龟……可有意思了，让我来给大家一一介绍吧!

首先，我们来到4D动感影

院，正在放映的电影是《灾难警示录》，讲述了发生地震和海啸时的情形。我们戴上眼镜，还系好了安全带，一下子就仿佛置身其中，房子向我们倒塌，海水将我们淹没，老鼠朝我们跑来……我吓得闭上了眼睛。这时，更可怕的事情发生了，我的脚好像被老鼠咬了一下，我叫了起来，赶快把脚抬得老高。短短十几分钟的电影结束了。出了电影

院，我仍然心有余悸。后来妈妈告诉我，那可怕的老鼠其实是坐椅下面有一根会动的绳子挠了一下我的脚，真是虚惊一场。

接着，我们进入了展厅，一个机器人吸引了我，他可以和人对话。我按照电脑屏幕上的问题向他提问，当我问道：“你几岁了?”机器人马上神秘地说：“这是个秘密，不过我还很年轻!”逗得大家哈哈大笑。

你听说过乌龟能称体重吗?展馆里有一只大乌龟，只要你往他背上一坐，他就立刻说：“您好，您的体重是……”我觉得很多人应该不太愿意坐上去吧，体重可是保密的哦!

啊，这真是一次快乐而又难忘的旅行!

妈妈，我有太多的话想对您说!您辛苦地养育我，时常地鼓励我，严格地要求我，想对您说声谢谢!但今天我还有些心里话想对您说，您可不要生气哦!

每天放学时，校门口都挤满了家长，我有时也多看两眼，希望您也和他们一样在等我，虽然我知道是不可能的。这时我在心里说，妈妈我希望您在我放学的时候来接我。当我一个人独自走在放学的路上时总在幻想在我打开家门时，您会在家里等着我，会说：“晓雅，你回来了啊!”，会为我准备好吃的。想着想着到家了，开门后我到冰箱里拿牛奶喝，牛奶冷冰冰的，家里也冷清清的。我在心里说，妈妈您能早点下班回来吗?

还有就是妈妈我可以提个建议吗?你能在检查作业，或是看到我的试卷时，不要对我大叫吗?我承认有时我粗心把会的做错了，有时我确实有些题仔细仔细想想，动动脑就能做出来，可我也懒啊，懒得动脑。等你回来教我呢!有时我在想，妈妈要是你什么都不懂，也许我就自己动动脑做出来了。当然这也只是偶尔的想法，大多数时候我还是自己认真做作业的。

妈妈我想对您说请您改一下您那暴躁的性格，我知道您只所以发脾气也都是为了我好，但我还是喜欢您温柔说话的语气。

妈妈太多的话想对您说，你会像朋友一样陪我玩游戏，陪我看动画片儿。会像老师一样认真的辅导我作业。更多的时候你会默默的鼓励我、陪伴我成长。妈妈您辛苦了!

“谁言寸草心，报得三春晖”，是啊!谁能说得尽母亲对我们的爱，谁又能报答得完母亲对我们的爱!妈妈，我爱你。

People always complain time is limited, they want to have more time to do more things, but the time stops them. Actually, I once feel my time is less while others have a lot of time to do what they want. I start to think about myself, I realize that I always waste my time on playing computer games, so I decide to not to play computer games.

人们总是抱怨时间是有限的,他们想要有更多的时间做更多的事情,但时间阻碍了他们。实际上,我曾经觉得我的时间很少而其他人有很多时间去做他们想做的事情。我开始思量自己,我知道我总是把时间浪费在玩电脑游戏,所以我决定不玩电脑游戏。

As we all know, pollution is harmful to living beings. There are many

different types of pollutions in this world. For instance, water pollution, air

pollution, noise pollution and so on. Water pollution cause many kinds of

disease that have negative effects on human beings, sometimes the diseases will

take people’s life away. Dirty air will increase the rate of getting lung

cancer. While the noise pollution will cause insomnia. People’s health condition

will be damaged.

In my humble opinion, people should take measures to control the pollution.

Recently, not only the government, but also individual has taken part in the

action of protecting the environment. This is a good sign. Rivers are being

cleaned, air is purified, and the people come to realize that the importance of

protecting the environment.

However, this is not enough, the problems are still exist. Not all of them

have been solved. Some factories are still pouring dirty water into the rivers

or give off the toxic gas into the sky. We should know that protecting the

environment needs everybody’s effort.

Bidding for and hosting the Olympics successfully is, perhaps, the ultimate glory for a city. However, before transforming the dream into reality, the benefits and drawbacks of bidding for the Olympics should be weighed carefully.

申办和举办奥运会成功，也许，一个城市最终的荣耀。然而，在将梦想转化为现实之前，好处和缺点的申办奥运会，应该仔细衡量。

Hosting the Olympics surely would bring about much gain to a city. Boom of the local economy, more jobs, and the possibility of generating income all sound extremely attractive to the municipal government. At the same time, better infrastructure, cleaner environment, enjoying the spectacular game with hundreds of sports elites and entertainment stars, and the opportunity of contacting people from all over the world also seem exciting to the citizens. Besides, the bidding will definitely promote the patriotic emotion and pride, as well as the moral behavior in local people. In most cases, bidding for the Olympics is well supported by both the public and the central government.

举办奥运会无疑会给这个城市带来很多好处。繁荣地方经济，更多的工作，产生收入的所有声音极具吸引力的市政府和可能性。同时，更好的基础设施，清洁的环境，享受体育精英，娱乐明星百壮观的游戏，与来自世界各地的人们交流的机会似乎也兴奋的公民。此外，招投标必将促进爱国情感和自豪感，以及当地人民的道德行为。在大多数情况下，申办奥运会是由公共部门和中央政府的大力支持。

Unfortunately, this is not the entire view of the pretty picture. If looking from another angle, the Olympic bid might bring about some side-effects to a city.

不幸的是，这不是整个认为漂亮的图片。如果从另外一个角度来看，申奥可能会带来一些副作用的城市。

First of all, the environmental impacts, including the increasing exhaust fumes of cars, more pressure on water resources, huge amount of wasted leaflets and other materials used for public activities, are most probably neglected. In order to broaden the streets, some trees may have to be cut. Near the construction site, the tiny dust may linger in the air for a long time. Reduction of farmland may be caused by the need of setting up new sports centre or accommodation facilities. These environmental consequences can be especially serious in a resource-limited and densely-populated city in a third-world country.

If not well managed and organized, the big event may not be so profitable, and the new facilities may be forever empty after the games. Yes, there have been cases that host cities ended up with enormous debts.
