The moment the truth comes out they will lose their credibility, which is easier to destroy than to rebuild. Consequently, these dishonest will suffer a long time because of their cheating behaviors. In conclusion, no one can afford to be dishonest in a civilized society.

Honesty is the pillar of a society. People will benefit from being honest in the long run. Thats why we say it pays to be honest.

可是，天有不测风云。妈妈告诉我：“晚上去玩跳跳床，我约了表弟和表妹一起去。”玩跳跳床可是我最喜欢的游戏呀！但是，我有约了表姐去看书，我犹豫不决，不知该怎么办？我不由自主想：不如先去跳跳床，明天再去和表姐道歉，她会原谅我的。可是，法国巴尔扎克曾经说过“遵守诺云就像包保卫你荣誉一样”，我应该守信用。我把我的想法告诉了妈妈，妈妈说：“很好，你能做出如此决定，我很高兴。妈妈尊重你的决定。”

Honesty is a virtue(诚信是一种美德)

Almost all of us heard the story “ Here Comes the Wolf “ when we were little kids. What we can learn from the story is that we must be honest. However, there’re lots of phenomena of dishonesty nowadays.

Being dishonest does great harm not only to other people but also to yourself. Take the case of fake milk powder for example. After drinking this kind of milk, the babies had big heads while their legs and arms were still thin, which badly affected their health. To our great relief, the producers got accused and punished for all the serious consequences in the end.

Having the reputation of being honest and reliable will make other people trust you, which will provide you many benefits and give you opportunities that others may not get. Being honest, you will find it easier to cooperate with others and people will be friendly to you and support you. In a sense, if life is a long journey, honesty will be the backpack that should be taken along all the way.

Honesty means speakingthe truth and being fair and upright in act. He who lies and cheats is dishonest.: Those who gain fortunes not by hard labour but by other means is dishonest.

Honesty is a good virtue. If you are honest all the time,you’ll be trusted and respected by others. A liar is always looked down upon and regarded as a black sheep by the people around. Once you lie, people will never believe you even if you speak the truth.

However, in the tide of commodity economy today, it seems that more and more people believe in money at the sacrifice of honesty. To them, among such things as health, beauty, m6ney, intelligence, honesty, reputation and talent, honesty is the only thing that can be east away. They don’t understand or pretend not to understand that honesty is the biggest fortune humans own, and that it is the prerequisite for doing everything well. I think these people areto be pitied.

In short, honesty is gold. Honest, your reputation will become great;dishonest, your name will be spoiled and your personality degraded. 看到诚信，我想起了今年暑假的时候，因为上学期期末英语考试的阅读题直接没看懂，分全扣了，所以妈妈买了一本青少版的英语书让我暑假在家，每天都读20分钟，10天后她就会考核我，如果过关就会带我去玩，我一听到玩就一口答应下来了。我开始坚持了一星期，后来因为想和小朋友玩，所以就开始不想读了，就骗妈妈，每次妈妈问我就说读过了。10天后，妈妈让我默写第三篇课文，我就直接把第三篇抄了一遍交给妈妈了，妈妈按约定带我出去旅游去了。旅游时我一点都高兴不起来，因为我欺骗了妈妈，我是不劳而获的，是不值得信任的孩子。回来后我就给妈妈承认错误了，虽然妈妈并没有过多的责怪我，但是我知道，如果我欺骗的是别人，那今后我就将成了一个不受别人信任的人，就没有人喜欢和我相处，也不会有人放心地把事情交给我办，所以从那以后我只要答应过的事我就一定办到，我会让这种品质陪伴我一直成长，成为一个受人欢迎的人。

现在我们的生活条件越来越好了，于是就有越来越多的人就开始不懂得节约和珍惜了，其实我们国家还有很多的小朋友连衣服都穿不暖，吃的也全是面条和饭头，根本没有鱼肉，读书也没有好的书本和课桌，如果我们能节约一些，就可以给一些需要帮助的小朋友更多的帮助，而且我们的地球资源也是有限的，我们除了要节约用钱更要节约使用资源，要养成随手关灯，不浪费水电煤气等一些天然资源，只有这样才能让我们的地球可以为我们提供更多年的良好的居住环境。

俗话说得好，诚信是金。人不可失诚信，诚信相当于别人对你的评价。别人如何看你，就看你是否拥有诚信。

我曾看过一个小故事，一个公司董事公司正在临危破产的时候不惜花下重金来保住公司的诚信，也许你看起来很好笑，但正因为这一举动，促使他公司重新振作起来。

人不可失诚信，失了诚信就没有人会相信你，就拿最近的期中考试来说，也许你耍小聪明作弊但并未让监考老师发现，在你沾沾自喜时我可以明确的告诉你，你已经失去了诚信！

也许你正在你好朋友面前说你的“丰功伟绩“时，你以为你的好朋友是夸赞你的，我还可以明确的告诉你：你错了！正因为你这举动，已明确的暗示了你的好朋友：你没有诚信，如果是你没有了城信，那么你的好朋友会一个个离开你。

我们为人处事，与人交往，要讲究诚信，即诚实守信。“诚”就是内诚于己，成熟五欺，成熟做人，诚实做事，实事求是：“信”就是外信于人，有信用，讲信誉，守信义。按此来说，考试作弊已经违反了诚信。

也许你认为作弊只是让父母和老师不对你责骂，但同学们，也许你们忘了，考试的含义是首先为了检验你们的成绩，但其次是看你有没有勇气面对考试

上面的一些事例已证实了：诚信是多么的重要，做人不能失去诚信。我们在与同学交往中也要诚实守信，不说谎话，待人要诚恳，真正做个诚实守信的好少年。

总之，诚信不仅是一个人的美德，更是一个人事业成功的保证!我相信，只要有阳光，就有“诚信”，阳光普照大地，“诚信”也将充满大地。

我们一定要做一个讲诚信的人，因为只有诚信才能得到别人信赖和尊敬。不然的话你就不会得到别人的尊敬。

记得有一年秋天我在小区里玩耍，突然我闻到了一股股浓郁的清香，于是我随着香味走了过去。原来是小区里种的桂花树，桂花的香味真是诱人，我真想折一簇带回家，可是旁边还站着一个保安，这时保安正好转过身，我急忙伸出手用尽力气折了一簇，然后快速的逃走了。回到家我把折的桂花摆在了桌子上看了又看，忽然我觉得自己好像做错了些什么。这时妈妈看见了一簇在我桌子前的桂花于是就问我：“龚煜哲这一簇桂花是从哪里来的?”我非常的害怕，紧张的心好像已经快要跳出来似的，脸涨的像煮熟的虾一样红，结结巴巴地说：“是别人……送……给我的!”顿时妈妈的脸变了，走开了。晚上我在床上看一本叫《小读者》的书籍，我看到了一篇叫《知错就改》的作文，里面讲述了一个小朋友不小心把别人最心爱的一个水晶球给摔坏了，但他没有选则逃避，勇于面对现实向那位小朋友承认了错误，并且得到了别人的尊重……这时我才意识到这会让妈妈对我失去信赖性。于是我决定去承认错误，我战战兢兢地来到门卫对保安说：“叔叔昨天……我在小区的花坛边折了一簇桂花!”谁知保安叔叔不但没有批评我，还举起了大拇指夸我是一个诚实的好孩子，说：“你知错就改还是一个好孩子，现在叔叔让你做一件事，如果有人摘花的话，你就要去阻止他们!”我高兴地对叔叔说：“放心吧!我一定会完成任务的!”

从这件小事中我懂得了，其实一个人做错了事并不重要，只要自己承认了错误同样会得到别人的尊敬。
