夕阳西下，暮色四起，三五成群的孩子就不约而同地凑到一起来。没有电视，作业在学校就写完了，一天当中最休闲的时光早早交给了这些活泼的孩子们。平房家属院里，到处欢声笑语。大人们找块平坦的石头一坐，唠起了工作中的趣事。孩子们热热闹闹，玩起了捉迷藏的游戏。平房四合院有的是藏身的地方：凉房，过道，甚至是炭房、狗窝。他们玩起这个游戏来乐此不疲，在这个连路灯都没有的小街道里，他们想不出别的更好的玩法。这个传统的游戏有着根深蒂固的生命力，能把大人的话题唠尽，诱出他们连连的哈欠和少许眼泪。

有个孩子不知道夜已深了，他担心被轻易找着，藏到了很远很远的地方去了。别的孩子一个个被找着或是自己回来了，大人们拍着屁股上的尘土要回家了。不见他回来，大家就四处去找，一起喊他的小名。他藏得太远了，太隐蔽了，根本不知道外面发生了什么事。他一个人在那儿乐呵呵地等着别人来找，他为能找到这样一个好的藏身之所而庆幸。这样一个隐蔽且安全的地方，他是不会随便说出去的。

可是，孩子毕竟是孩子，很快他们就找得不耐烦了。终于，一个大一点的孩子作出了决断：各回各家。没用举手表决，大家谁也没有反对，连原来担心过他的也一哄而散地回了家。

时间过了很久很久，他憋不住了，就试着探头出来瞧，不见一个人影。他想大家不可能立刻找到他，就蹑手蹑脚地往回溜。走了一段路，还不见一个人，他开始犯嘀咕了。他们都哪儿去了?该不是到别处玩去了吧?他开始担心起来，就压着嗓子喊那些孩子，没有回应。他加快了脚步，心跳开始加速。他又试着呼喊他们，仍无应答。他害怕了，脑袋嗡嗡作响，头皮发麻，两腿不听使唤，一下子摔倒在泥潭里。他吓哭了，但又不敢大声地哭，他听到路边人家“汪汪”的狗叫和树顶上猫头鹰怪声怪气的哀鸣。他抽泣着，跌跌撞撞不知怎么逃回了家。

后来他长大了，在尘世的摸爬滚打中，他渐渐明白：在我们生活的这个群体中，有些规则是不需要写在脸上的，别把自己藏得太远了。

By the time you read this you will be 30. At the age of 18 I had so many hopes and dreams about where youd be, what youd be doing and with whom youd spend your life with.

Right now I hope that you have traveled and seen everything youve always wanted to, both in Canada and overseas, and maybe even settled down somewhere in Australia doing some research in the field of biology (genetics).

I hope youre married to the man of your dreams. The man of mine is Gwynn. He is originally from South Africa (another place I wish to visit).

Youll probably have two children of your own – a girl(Michaela Anne) and a boy (name yet to be decided).

If everything goes according to plan youll be living in Australia in a big house in a small town outside of a big city with a lot of land, a dog, Gwynn and your two beautiful children. Hopefully you have a career in the medical field, maybe doing research in genetics. Gwynn will be a computer programmer and you will be doing alright for yourselves.

However, if things dont go according to plan for you, I wish you all the love, happiness and joy in the world and dont settle for anything less than the best since that is absolutely what you deserve.

今年寒假我学会了一项运动——滑冰。一进冰场，我就看见了许多人在滑冰，男女老少。有的滑得飞快，仿佛一阵风吹过似的;有的才刚刚会在冰上走路，不过走得又快又平稳;还有的一滑就摔跤，几乎就不会滑。一看见这场景，我便迫不及待地上前滑了起来。不仅没滑起来，还摔了个跤。教练看见了，连忙扶我起来，并严肃地说：“滑冰虽然简单，但是不能急于求成啊!还有我有一个小办法，以后再告诉你。你先穿好冰鞋，然后……”话还没说完，只听“扑通”一声，我又摔倒了。教练一笑，二话不说，就把我拉了起来。虽然那时我心里非常紧张和害怕，因为我害怕摔跤，但是我用了我的老办法——坚持。试了几天，我发现根本没效果，我自言自语道：“原来的成效挺好的，怎么现在不管用了?”教练好像看透了我的心思，说：“你应该动脑子学滑冰，这就是我要告诉你的小办法。”我听了教练说的这番话语，就照着教练说的那样果然结果出乎我的意料，没几天就学会了滑冰。

通过学滑冰的经过，我明白了一个道理：学习任何东西都需要方法和要领，学习知识要积累、掌握方法还要灵活掌握。

5 My Summer Vacation 我的暑假

6 I enjoy the rain 我喜欢下雨

That was a morning in the early of June. I took a bus to my school in the suburb which was surrounded by rice paddies and ponds. The sky was gray with the gloomy clouds congregating gradually along the far eastern horizon. "There must be a heavy rain soon." I spoke to myself.

When I hurried into the classroom, the sky, gray before, was shrouded now by black clouds, darken to twilight, I felt quite stuffy, while it was quite calm, without wind. I saw the leaves of trees and grass static, which seem to await something tohappen. Several minutes later, I saw the lightening split the clouds and heard the thunders following. Suddenly, the curtain of rain fell and the wind blew. soon the grass flattened under the wind and the rain. With the rain forming like a fog, the sky became bright. I took several deep breathes. The heavy rain lasted three hours and stopped when the class was over. The air was so fresh and the sky was so clear. I felt like a new man myself.

大雨下了三个小时，下课的时间停了，空气那么新鲜，天气那么晴朗，我感觉像换了一个人似的。

命它就像个苹果，不管她是好，还是坏，都会有人去细细的品尝，不管它有多苦涩，都会有人把它咽下去，然后会心的一笑。当然对于不喜欢苹果的我来说，也不是那么的珍惜自己的生命。

有人说生命是可贵的，生活是美好的，但我不这样认为，既然老天它有权利创造，给你生命，它就有权收回你的生命，不管你多么的珍惜它。然而我会苦中作乐来充实我那像似美好的生活。

那是一个美丽的黄昏，一向骑车骑得很快的我，那天以很快的速度向我家骑去，我一边骑着，一边欣赏美丽的黄昏，突然，我被撞倒了，当时我几乎失去了知觉，完全不知所措，还是几个原班同学把我扶了起来，可老天并没有这样轻易的放过我，血像河水一样的流下来，我用手去擦了擦，还能感觉它在我手上的温度，它是那么的热，也许老天觉得这样还不够吧，我回家又大病了一场，到医院打点滴，快十二点才回到家。

也许我应该感谢老天，没有残忍的收回我的生命，我没有几天就好了，好的当天，我去看了一下曾经与我同甘共苦的自行车，还好它没事，不然我会内疚的，可是当我看到那辆自行车时我就看到了我当时被摔的情景，我真的好怕，怕会再发生一次，大人都劝我不要害怕，我也尽量说服自己不要去怕，我骑它去上学时，我可以感觉到我的双脚在发抖。

也是从这次以后，我才懂得人们为什么那么的珍惜自己的生命，不管它有多么的短暂，多么的不公平，还是会宝贝般的疼爱。
