很多人有个疑问：为什么端午节要吃粽子，比赛划龙船呢?事情是这样来。一个伟大诗人屈原爱国，为皇帝出谋划策，但有些红眼病者觉得屈原势力太大，多管闲事，天天在皇上面前说屈原坏话，慢慢皇上相信了那些荒.唐谎言，把屈原撤了职，流放到湘南去。屈原抱着救国救民志向，富国强民打算，反而被奸臣排挤出去，简直气疯了。
他到了湘南，经常到汩罗江一带，一边走一边唱着伤心诗歌。到了公元前278年5月初五那天，抱着块大石跳河自杀了。附近老百姓得知，大家都划着小船去救屈原，可是一片大海，到处波浪起伏，哪儿有屈原什么痕迹。大伙很伤心，把竹筒子里米撒了下去，算是献给屈原，也让江里鱼虾、蛟龙、鱼……等动物饱了肚子，就不再伤害屈原身体了。到了第二年、第三年、第四年……都照办了，后来他们把盛着米饭竹筒子改为粽子，划小船改为赛龙船。
关于端午节由来，说法甚多，诸如：纪念屈原说;纪念伍子胥说;纪念曹娥说;起于三代夏至节说;恶月恶日驱避说，吴月民族图腾祭说等等。以上各说，各本其源。据学者闻一多先生《端午考》和《端午历史教育》列举百余条古籍记载及专家考古考证，端午起源，是中国古代南方吴越民族举行图腾祭节日，比屈原更早。但千百年来，屈原爱国精神和感人诗辞，已广泛深入人心，故人们“惜而哀之，世论其辞，以相传焉”，因此，纪念屈原之说，影响最广最深，占据主流地位。在民俗文化领域，中国民众把端午节龙舟竞渡和吃粽子等，都与纪念屈原联系在一起。

从本次考试所反映的现状来看，今后的教学中应注意：
1、加强听力训练，营造语言环境。课堂上一定要加强对学生的听力训练，坚持用英语组织教学，尽可能利用多种教学资源让学生接触地道的语音、语调，多听英、美人士的录音材料。

4、注重兴趣培养，慎防两极分化。从试卷分析中可以看出，两个班级都不同程度地出现了令人担忧的“两极分化”现象。一定要注意激发、培养学生的学习兴趣，关注学生的情感，营造宽松，民主、和谐的教学氛围，保护每个学生的自尊心和学习英语的积极性。只有这样，掉队的学生才会减少，也才可能大面积提高均分。
