今天是农历五月初五端午节，每年小姨都会包许多好吃的。甜的大蜜枣粽子给我们吃，尤其是我和母亲最爱吃。还可以和长辈。妹妹们一起聚在外婆家吃饭，热热闹闹的度过端午节!而今年却没有那么热闹了。因为舅舅和小姨们出去赚钱了，姨丈也带着妹妹也出去玩了，只有我们一家三口和外公外婆了。显得十分冷清。

今天一大早，我本已为母亲会包蜜枣粽给我吃，谁知母亲却在忙着做家务。中午，父亲煮了一桌好饭好菜，叫外公和外婆过来吃饭，但是没有洋溢着一点儿欢快的气氛!下午，母亲为了不再让节日过得一点意思也没有，便带我和外婆一起去外面逛逛。我们去了菜市场，却没有看到半个粽叶的影子，去买粽子却没有蜜枣的，我有些失望，母亲安慰我说：“下次看见有卖蜜枣粽子的决定买给你吃!”听了这话我的心情这才好了一点。母亲逛完了服装店又带我们去了合家福超市去，路途中还给我们买了一些好吃的。从超市里出来后，我们已是满载而归。

回到家，我因为很想舅舅和小姨，还有四岁的小妹妹，所以便上网和他们一起视频聊天，小姨笑着对我说明年端午节一定包很多的蜜枣粽子给我吃，让我吃个够。虽然今年我们没能在一起过端午节，但是还可以在网上和他们相见，也是很开心的。舅舅和小姨还跟我约好，明年端午节一定回来过节呢!

我们坐车用了一小时到了咸阳机场，等了会儿，西安到张家界的飞机开始登机了，我和爸爸妈妈还有其他叔叔阿姨一起乘坐了飞机，我的座位在第一排F位，我和爸爸妈妈坐好后，我就系好安全带。没过多久我们就到了目的地。

第二天，我们先到了张家界国家森林公园，公园里最著名的景点是黄石寨前山，那里景色可美了，绿树成荫，小河清澈见底，路边树上的小猴子在荡着秋千和游人打招呼。我们先坐观光缆车到了山顶，山顶上有朱镕基爷爷题的字：张家界顶有神仙。从山顶向四周望去，树木郁郁葱葱，山峰层峦叠嶂，形态各异，据说这里曾是电影《阿凡达》的拍摄地。听导游介绍，这里是土家族和苗族的聚居地，有很多美丽的传说，他们这里把男人称为阿哥，女人称为阿妹，我就被称为小阿哥，可有意思了。

第三天，我们去了被称为人间瑶池的宝峰湖风景区，湖在山中间。我们坐在游艇上，春风拂面，水波荡漾，心里舒服极了，我和胡天义、肖丛宇拿着相机，拍了好多照片。湖周围的山峰有的像凤凰，有的像天狗吞月，有的像老人。我最喜欢的山峰像一家三口，爸爸、妈妈和儿子。船行到湖中间的时候，还有阿哥和阿妹的对歌，非常有少数民族的味道。下午我们又去了天子山风景区，乘坐了世界上最高的山中电梯“百龙天梯”，它的高度有326米。

6月7日凌晨，我们回到了西安，尽管非常累，但是心情很好，因为我度过了一个愉快的端午节假期。

端午节是我们中国十分隆重的节日，它是为了纪念战国时期伟大的爱国诗人屈原，现在的中国人还在延续这一习俗，甚至还有一天的法定节日。

commemorate Qu Yuan, a great patriotic poet in the Warring States period. Now

Chinese people still continue this custom, even a legal festival.

农历五月初五就是端午节了，家家户户都要包粽子，还有有趣的划龙舟比赛呢!奶奶在家已经煮好了香喷喷的粽子，打开锅盖满屋都飘着粽子的清香，让我闻得口水直流个不停。我迫不及待地剥开粽子叶津津有味的吃了起来，真是回味无穷呀!

After eating zongzi, my father took me to watch the dragon boat race. There

are lots of people here, and the traffic is very busy! The race started, and

every team is ready to go. With a burst of gunfire, each dragon boat flies

across the water like an arrow. The audience cheered and shouted, cheering and

encouraging for the contestants. The contestants listened with confidence and

strove hard to paddle, and the water splashed everywhere. Each dragon boat

chased after each other. At last, the laggard No. 1 finally caught up with the

far ahead No. 2. The audience couldnt help cheering. There was a sea of joy

everywhere. Ah! This is the most unforgettable day for me.

24 evening is the annual Christmas Eve, is also the first snow this year, I

The Dragon Boat Festival is one of the most popular traditional festivals

celebrated in China, which is on the fifth of the fifth lunar month, also known

as Duanwu Festival. It’s said that it is to commemorate the death of a Chinese

patriotic poet, Qu Yuan, who was snared by corrupt officials in ancient China

and finally committed suicide by drowning himself in the Miluo River to protest

against them.

The traditions and customs held on this festival differ from place to

tradition is holding Dragon Boat races, which are held by fishermen’s attempt to

protect Qu Yuan’s body against attacking by fishes and other animals in the

making and eating Zongzi—a dumpling made of glutinous rice and wrapped in bamboo

or reed leaves—is also a popular custom during this day. It can be made by many

kinds of stuffing. What’s more, hanging herbs on the front door, drinking

realgar wine and pasting up picture of Zhongkui—a mythic guardian figure in

ancient china—are also popular during the festival, which are mean to protect

people from evil and disease.

These customs and traditions have been changed a little in recent years,

but they still make contribution to the spread and inheritance of Chinese

culture.

This is my day. Im very busy, but very happy. I got up at 6:45. I had

breakfast at 7:10 with my parents. I said “Good morning!” to my parents. My

friends. I had English class at 8:40.At noon, I had lunch. In the evening, I had

what s your plan for dragon boat festival?

As a chinese, I was really ashamed of having a little knowledge of dragon boat festival. Perhaps I was born in northern city, though my city is nearby sea, it has been built a U port which I can only see cargo ships and can t see the sweeping ocean. So I have never see the dragon boat contest since I was born. So the dragon boat festival is just a holiday for eating Zong Zi . My mother made Zong Zi when I was a child. Because there was no supermarket, we couldn t buy finished product from market. However, now, we can buy anything in supermarket, so my mother didn t make them anymore. The boat festival began to fade out my mind.

In reality, young people began to have a bug to celebrate foreign festivals, such as Christams, Saint Valentine s day, April Fool s Day, some people also celebrate Easter in church. Talk about Dragon boat festival, it s the same as some foreign conventional festivals, such as Witch s Day in Czech. People burned the witch s puppet so as to welcome spring. Some people are willing to celebrate foreign festivals because they like alien culture. And vice versa, foreigners who like China also concern about Chinese traditional culture.

After new holiday regulation, we have three holidays during the dragon boat festival. So many people will choose this time to travel. People who lived in Xiamen are able to visit Xiapu or Wu Yi mountain, these tourist attractions are in Fujian province,which is suit a short tirp. but I d like to stay at home for my decorate painting. I decide to draw two canvases about Christmas, it s really a big project. Then I ll hang them on the new house wall. I must start it now, or I can t finish them before Christmas eve. But I preceive it s a little difficult to draw them in such a hot season.
