不过，我在课外书上看到过。传说，端午节就是为了纪念屈原。屈原是战国时的楚国大臣，由于敌国实施反间计，朝中的奸臣又对他进行无耻诽谤，使屈原遭到国君的冷落并被放逐。当他听到国家沦亡之时，愤怒而无奈的屈原投江自杀了。屈原投江以后，人们为了不让、虾吃屈原的身体，把米和饭投到江里，让鱼和虾吃。流传到现在，改成了端午节包粽子的习俗。

说起粽子，粽子有咸粽子和甜粽子两种口味。甜粽子有莲蓉、豆沙、栗蓉......咸的呢，就是咸肉、冬菇、蛋黄、干贝......包好的粽子放在一个锅里煮，等粽子熟了以后，会闻到淡淡的竹叶香，清香四溢，弥漫整个厨房......

中国有许多传统节日，每一个传统节日都有着悠久的历史来源和独特的传统风俗。我要说的是每年农历五月初五的端午节。端午节的名称有很多，比如:端阳节、午日节、五月节、屈原日……

在我们宜昌秭归，古代有一个名人，他叫屈原。据说，战国时，楚国大夫屈原因苦劝楚王无果，忧愤投江自尽。楚国百姓怀念这位为人清正的大夫，于是将糯米包成包投入江中，希望鱼群吃了米而不吃屈原尸身。后世延续为传统，渐渐演化为端午节。“端”字有“初始”的意思，因此“端五”就是“初五”。而按照历法五月正是“午”月，因此“端五”也就渐渐演变成了“端午”。

端午节两个最主要的活动，一个是吃粽子，另一个就是赛龙舟。粽子一般用糯米做成。先采回一些芦苇叶，洗净，准备包粽子用。把糯米，还有这些叶子泡在盆里一天一夜。再用叶子把糥米放进叶子里，也可以放些红枣等，包成三角形，再用棉线从粽子底部起，呈十字形捆包起来，捆好不散开就行。最后将粽子放入锅里煮一个小时左右即可。每年的端午节我们家都会吃粽子，粽子非常好吃，不等解开绳子，剥开叶子就会闻到香甜可口的棕子香味，嘴馋的人连口水都要流出来了。看着那喷香的红枣粽子，使人忍不住要多吃几个棕子。

端午节不仅会吃香喷喷的粽子，还会划龙舟呢。

虽然我没亲眼看见划龙舟是怎么进行的，但是我听奶奶和其他人说过。划龙舟是因为屈原投江死去，楚国人舍不得他，所以就有许多人争先恐后地划船追赶拯救，追至洞庭湖时不见踪迹。之后每年五月五日划龙舟来纪念他，借划龙舟驱散江中鱼。

划龙舟是一条龙船上整齐地坐着两队人，有一人坐在最前面，他有节奏地打着鼓，许多身体强健的壮汉，拿着木桨一齐有规律地划着船。只有每个人齐心协力，团结一致才能得到第一，相反如果不够协调，那龙船就走不动!

I am planning to spend my summer holiday on sports this year. Playing

basketball is always my favourite,so some of my classmates and I will form a
