It was the third day of our winter holiday. Today, there are many business

in my mother’s company. So my mother told me to help my uncle who is the manager

of my mother’s company. I sat in my mother’s office and help her answer the

telephone. While I was free, I was writing my homework. Although I also have a

lot of time to do my homework, I still do it. Because in my mother’s office, I

It is true that summer is hot, very hot. But the wicked summer sun is

nothing to me, for I dont usually go out. What I like to do best during the

long summer vacation is to stay in my own little room and read. I love to read,

My Family

My name is Li Hua. I am from a workers family. There are six people in my

family. They are my grandfather, my grandmother, my father, my mother, my sister

Every member in my family works for his or her own trade①. My grandfather

and grandmother are peasants. They do farm work every day in my hometown. My

father is a senior engineer. He is now working in Africa, helping to build a

power station. My mother is a teacher. She teaches English in a middle school.

开始动手，我拿出两片一大一小的粽叶，学着奶奶的样子折出一角，再在折好的角筒上放入一点已浸泡好的糯米，塞上一大块猪肉，又用糯米盖得严严实实的。我得意了，比想象中还顺利地完成了一大半。当我再把粽叶盖好时，糯米就像孩子似的不听我的使唤，接二连三地跳出来。我急得直跺脚，幸好奶奶替我“解了围”——割掉一些糯米，我才舒了一口气。

哈哈，经过小挫折，总算到了最后的，也是最简单的步骤——扎棕绳。小KS(小意思)，看我大显身手。地球人都知道，粽子要包扎严实才好吃。我接过棕绳，先把粽子五花大绑捆了一圈，还认为奶奶她们包的样子特老土，不好看，就自作主张地用棕绳打了一个漂亮的蝴蝶结，理由很充分，只要不随便碰到绳子，也是十分结实的。大功告成，我拿起粽子准备放入碗中，可是不小心拉了一下棕绳那短的一部分，只听得“哗啦”一声，粽叶散开了，糯米们像飞珠滚玉一般，一粒接一粒地掉到地上。

我不甘心，各中各样的粽子在奶奶手中诞生，可我连一只都包不好，骨子里的牛劲儿顿时上来了。有了失败的教训，我小心了许多，也成功地包出了几只。

吃着自己做的可爱的粽子，我心里有说不出的喜悦。

端午节的由来是这样的：古时候有个叫屈原的人，他跳江了，人们就做了一些粽子往江里扔，让鱼儿吃粽子，不要吃屈原的尸体。

端午节要吃粽子，赛龙舟。它还有很多的名字：端阳节，女儿节……

今天我们举行了包粽子活动，比赛开始了，我们先把粽叶弄成圆锥形，把米放进去，最后再把米用粽叶裹起来，用绳子绑好，一个粽子就完成了。包粽子的过程中，我们遇到的困难是粽叶太硬了，

Instant Noodles

Two years ago, I like to eat instant noodles very much, the instant noodles smell so delicious, because there are tasty flavor in it. When my mother was not at home, I would buy the instant noodles, as the time went by, I found my skin became bad and I would not like to eat rice. I felt so bad, my mother told me that I should not eat so much instant noodles, they contained no vitamins and also frustrated my appetite. I realized my problem and started to stay away from instant noodles, then my appetite became good and I wanted to eat rice again. Instant noodles are junk food, we’d better eat it less.

端午在农历五月五日，端午又叫端阳节、重五节、天中节、五月节、女儿节、诗人节等20多个。
