中国有许多传统节日，每一个传统节日都有着悠久的历史来源和独特的传统风俗。我要说的是每年农历五月初五的端午节。端午节的.名称有很多，比如:端阳节、午日节、五月节、屈原日……

在我们宜昌秭归，古代有一个名人，他叫屈原。据说，战国时，楚国大夫屈原因苦劝楚王无果，忧愤投江自尽。楚国百姓怀念这位为人清正的大夫，于是将糯米包成包投入江中，希望鱼群吃了米而不吃屈原尸身。后世延续为传统，渐渐演化为端午节。“端”字有“初始”的意思，因此“端五”就是“初五”。而按照历法五月正是“午”月，因此“端五”也就渐渐演变成了“端午”。

端午节两个最主要的活动，一个是吃粽子，另一个就是赛龙舟。粽子一般用糯米做成。先采回一些芦苇叶，洗净，准备包粽子用。把糯米，还有这些叶子泡在盆里一天一夜。再用叶子把糥米放进叶子里，也可以放些红枣等，包成三角形，再用棉线从粽子底部起，呈十字形捆包起来，捆好不散开就行。最后将粽子放入锅里煮一个小时左右即可。每年的端午节我们家都会吃粽子，粽子非常好吃，不等解开绳子，剥开叶子就会闻到香甜可口的棕子香味，嘴馋的人连口水都要流出来了。看着那喷香的红枣粽子，使人忍不住要多吃几个棕子。

端午节不仅会吃香喷喷的粽子，还会划龙舟呢。

虽然我没亲眼看见划龙舟是怎么进行的，但是我听奶奶和其他人说过。划龙舟是因为屈原投江死去，楚国人舍不得他，所以就有许多人争先恐后地划船追赶拯救，追至洞庭湖时不见踪迹。之后每年五月五日划龙舟来纪念他，借划龙舟驱散江中鱼。

划龙舟是一条龙船上整齐地坐着两队人，有一人坐在最前面，他有节奏地打着鼓，许多身体强健的壮汉，拿着木桨一齐有规律地划着船。只有每个人齐心协力，团结一致才能得到第一，相反如果不够协调，那龙船就走不动!

中国的地方民俗就如一幅五彩斑斓的画卷，上面画有屈原、唐东杰布，还有那嫦娥仙子，正是有了他们，我们的历史画卷才会如此丰富，生活也才会如此多姿多彩。

刚过了快乐的儿童节，今天又是端午节了，这几天实在是太开心了。上午我们一家三口回外婆家过节。有一段时间没去外婆家了，不知道外公的身体好不好，还有外婆，还是那样每天忙忙碌碌吗?

外公见到我，像以前一样喜笑颜开。爸爸说外公长胖了，其实那是爸爸想逗外公开心，外公的身体不好，需要长期服用激素，所以外公的脸有点浮肿，就像胖了。听妈妈说，吃激素的副作用很大，会很不舒服，唉，外公一定也很难受吧。

中国人的习俗，在端午的时候吃粽子和绿豆糕。南京人过端午节，这天的菜要有五红，分别是黄鳝，小龙虾，咸鸭蛋，烤鸭和苋菜。不过现在看来，大家越来越不讲究这些了。外婆今天就只做了我喜欢的黄鳝和虾。吃完饭，大家坐在桌边聊天，外公外婆问了爸爸妈妈工作的情况，还特别关心了我的学习。看着大家轻轻松松的说着话，我突然想到，原来过节是这样的，不需要多好的礼物，不需要多丰盛的饭菜，只要一家人在一起，那就是幸福。

Today， I was late for school because the traffic was jam. I usually so to

school by bike but I hurt my leg the day before yesterday. So I had‘to go to

school by taxi this morning. I left home very early. When I took the taxi， I

found the traffic bad. The traffic was so busy that the car couldn’t move at

all. I think the government should get the road wider so that the car can run

easily and smoothly.

I have dinner at about 6:30 p.m.. After dinner, I often go to the outside

to play games with my friends. We live near to each other, so we always play

together. Sometimes,we play table tennis or badminton. Sometimes, we ride on

bicyles. Anyway, anything could be funny when we are together.I usually go home

at 8:00 and then take a shower. After that, I spend sometime in study or watch

unusual for us to fail in our first attempt at something new, so we should not

feel discouraged. Besides, if we always give up when fail happens, we will can

not develop new skills. Finally, we should never give up because as we work to

reach our goals, we develop confidence, and this confidence can help us succeed

in other areas of our lives.

Probably the greatest example of persistence is Abraham Lincoln. Born into

poverty, Lincoln was faced with defeat throughout his life. He lost eight

elections, twice failed in business and suffered a nervous breakdown. He could

have quit many times - but he didnt and because he didnt quit, he became one

of the greatest presidents in the history of America.

Lincoln was a champion For the reason that ---he ,never gave up.

In short, no matter you succeed or not, you can learn something, no matter

what we learn will help us to become more confident. If we give up, we have no

chance to make our dreams come true, if we keep trying, there is always a

I was bored. So I wanted to travel to Hong Kang. I told my father my

decision. To my surprise, my father agreed. My father thought I always at home

was bad. He thought I should go out to see our country clearly. How beautiful

our country is! My father drove me a travel service. I filled out an application

下了一夜的雪，第二天早上雪停了，到处都是白白的一片，地上结了一层薄薄的冰。为了使行人来往方便，我和爷爷决定一起下楼去铲雪。把被掩盖的通道上的雪铲掉、扫清。爷爷力气大，所以用重重地铁铲铲雪，我力气小，用轻轻地洗衣板来铲雪。我们先铲家门前的雪，我用的洗衣板铲雪铲地非常快，因为我家门口的雪还没有结成冰。铲好了我们车库前的雪后，接着又到其它地方去铲。我和爷爷大约劳动了半个小时，都感到非常累，所以爷爷先回家休息了。我休息了一会儿后，就开始堆雪人`````` 一直到妈妈下来我们又开始铲雪了。妈妈铲地速度很快，一下子就把家门前的那一条路上的雪给铲光了，接着我们又去另一条路上铲雪，那里的雪比较厚所以洗衣板一点儿也铲不掉，因为那条路上走过的人很多，雪结的很硬，铁铲又重，所以我和妈妈两个人轮流铲。经过一个多小时的努力，我们终于完成了预先定下的任务。今天我虽然觉得很累，还流了很多汗，但却感到很开心，因为这种劳动还是很有意义的，但愿明年还有这样的劳动机会。

今日是端午节。每家每户的厨房里都飘出一阵一阵的清香――粽子。此刻粽子的品种是越来越多了，有红豆馅的，有蜜枣馅的，有肉馅的，有白米的……我和爸爸、妈妈一边吃着香喷喷的粽子，一边谈开了。妈妈问：“谁明白今日是什么节日?”我和爸爸抢着回答：“是端午节!”。“那么端午节这天，为什么要吃粽子呢?”妈妈又问。我摇了摇头。爸爸就此给我讲了关于端午节为什么吃粽子的故事：“从前，有一个人叫屈原，创战国时期楚国的三闾大夫，他提倡团结其他国家，共同抵抗秦国。可楚王不但不听劝告，反而将屈原从楚国放逐了。

之后，楚国陷入了困境。屈原整天都十分忧愁。不久，这个怀才不遇的诗人就抱着砂石，投汨罗江自杀了。大家得知这个消息后，都去寻找屈原的尸体，可没有找到。人们害怕江里的鱼儿吃了屈原的尸体，便用米包成粽子扔进江里喂鱼。从此，人们为了纪念屈原，便把每年的农历五月初五那天，定为端午节。在那天，人人都要吃粽子、赛龙舟。”听了屈原的故事后，我格外感动。屈原这为国捐躯的爱国精神真令人敬佩啊!以后，每年的端午节我要多吃上几个粽子……

In the mind of most Chinese people, the conventions of eating rice dumplings and Dragon Boat Race in the Festival are all closely related to the commemoration of Qu Yuan.

我和哥哥坐上妈妈的车，一会儿工夫就到了外婆家。一进大门，我眼前突然一亮，不惊的大叫起来，哇“好漂亮的房子，高高的新楼房，宽阔的大院子，还有一陈迎面扑来的饭菜香味，使我迫不及待的朝外婆家的厨房跑会，我大叫一声，外婆我来了。外婆笑着说，好个，趁着还没到吃饭的时间，我和表弟在院子里玩，院子里种了果树，蔬菜，还有许许多多的花花草草，有的开出了五颜六色的小花，可漂亮了，还有一座小桥呢。桥下养着许多小鱼……玩的正开心的时候，吃饭了，我象兔子一样飞快地冲进厨房，哇!好多菜呀!我一边吃一边说，外婆做的菜真好吃。但我最喜欢的还是那盘龙虾。你知道为什么吗?因为那是我的最爱。
