As a chinese, I was really ashamed of having a little knowledge of dragon boat festival. Perhaps I was born in northern city, though my city is nearby sea, it has been built a U port which I can only see cargo ships and can t see the sweeping ocean. So I have never see the dragon boat contest since I was born. So the dragon boat festival is just a holiday for eating Zong Zi . My mother made Zong Zi when I was a child. Talk about Dragon boat festival, it s the same as some foreign conventional festivals, such as Witch s Day in Czech. People burned the witch s puppet so as to welcome spring. Some people are willing to celebrate foreign festivals because they like alien culture. And vice versa, foreigners who like China also concern about Chinese traditional culture.

After new holiday regulation, we have three holidays during the dragon boat festival. So many people will choose this time to travel. People who lived in Xiamen are able to visit Xiapu or Wu Yi mountain, these tourist attractions are in Fujian province,which is suit a short tirp. but I d like to stay at home for my decorate painting. But the second day,people came into our forest. Many animals were caught. The people wanted to build house and parks in our forest. Many old trees were felled. And then suddenly,nothing was left standing.

I was so shocked and then I bursted out crying. I woke up at midnight. It was only a dream.

Thanksgiving began with the first European settlers in America. They

gathered their crops, celebrated and gave thanks for the food.

Tradition says Pilgrim settlers from England celebrated the first

thanksgiving in sixteen twenty-one. There is evidence that settlers in other

parts of America held earlier thanksgiving celebrations. But the Pilgrims

thanksgiving story is the most popular.

The Pilgrims were religious dissidents who fled oppression in England. They

went first to the Netherlands. Then they left that country to establish a colony

in North America. The Pilgrims landed in sixteen twenty in what later became

known as Plymouth, Massachusetts.

Their voyage across the Atlantic Ocean was difficult. Their first months in

America were difficult, too. About one hundred Pilgrims landed just as autumn

was turning to winter. During the cold months that followed, about half of them

died.

我最喜欢的节日是端午节。因为这一天不仅有粽子可以吃，还有赛龙舟。这是一个欢乐喜庆的日子。

“五月五，过端午”，妈妈时常将这句话挂在嘴边。端午节的早上，妈妈和奶奶很早就起床了。因为要忙着祭拜祖先的东西。妈妈和奶奶早早地准备了粽叶，又准备了一些香喷喷的糯米饭，糯米饭中有板栗、红枣、蛋黄、香菇等馅料。将它们搅拌在一起后，妈妈和奶奶就用粽叶将它们包成一个有棱角的球形，这是粽子。每年的端午节都要吃粽子，据说这是为了纪念一位叫屈原的祖先。包好粽子，将它们放进蒸笼里蒸煮后。奶奶和妈妈又忙着准备另外一些鱼肉。等一切准备好后，妈妈和奶奶就开始祭拜祖先。而我就和爸爸一起跑去看赛龙舟了。

我和爸爸来到一个湖边，放眼望去，到处是人山人海。湖面上，两只龙舟齐头并进。呐喊声，敲鼓声，划水声此起彼伏。我和爸爸激动地鼓着掌，大声为他们呐喊助威。十分钟后，比赛结束了，和爸爸开心地回家了。

晚上，我们全家人坐在一起，一边吃着粽子，一边看电视上播放的各地赛龙舟比赛。欢声笑语飘出了家门。大街上，还有许多男女老少正在猜灯迷。鼓声“咚咚咚”的响着。幸福洋溢在大家的脸上!

多么开心的端午节啊!希望这样幸福快乐的节日，能够传承下去，这种欢乐的氛围能够一直保持着。这是我的一个小小心愿。
