What Am I Going to Do in the Summer Holiday

The new summer holiday is coming. As we know, summer is a beautiful season. During the coming summer holiday, I am going to study English. Then I am going to borrow some science books from

the library and discuss problems with my classmates, I’ll help my parents do some housework in my house, and I’ll water the flowers and trees our garden. I am going to play basketball, volleyball and

badminton with my neighbours in the afternoon. At the same time, if my father has time, he’ll teach me to swim. I’ll have fun.

My schoool life is busy and fantastic. First, we have four classes in the

morning and three in the afternoon. We have to get to school before 7:30 because

we have a morning class. Second, I like my school life because teachers and my

classmates are friendly and helpful. We also have lots of after-school activies.

Third, our school environment is very beautiful, the teachers all can make their

lesson interesting and instructive. So I like my school life very much.

Now I am on the train to Guilin。 The views are beautiful and I feel happy。 Mother told me there is only one day to go to arrive in Guilin。 We bought a lot of stuffs and they are heavy。 So I took some bags from mother。 She said I am growing up and I smiled happily。

It is a special day today. My mother sent one hundred basket of red

bayberries. I like to eat red bayberries. It tastes nice. When they arrived in

Shanghai, they were still fresh. But most of them would be sent to my mother’s

business friends. I chose the best basket of red bayberries to eat. I put the

rest in my refrigerator. Red bayberry is my hometown’s special product. It is

well-known in china. Many people like to eat it.

It was the second day of our summer holiday. I felt good. I felt I am free. I had a lot of time to do things I like. My parents are in Zhongshan. So I live alone but I don’t feel lonely. It was a hot day during my summer holidays in 2003. My mother and I got on the bus which would take us to the village where my grandma lived. It was so hot that I felt very thirsty. Then I began to think of the sweet big watermelons and other fruits in Grandma’s house. I could hardly wait to arrive there and see my grandma.

It took us one more hour to get there. When we walked into the house, Grandma was busy preparing lunch in the kitchen. It seemed that she was very glad to see us, which I knew from the big smile on her wrinkled face. She brought out a big watermelon and cut it. It was so nice to eat the watermelon on such a hot day.

I was dreaming when a terrible voice woke me up. I saw Grandma was lying on the ground with blood streaming down from her mouth. I couldn’t believe my eyes. How fearful a sight it was! I hurried to wake my mother up. We took her to the hospital in a hurry. But it was too late to save her. My beloved grandma’s heart stopped beating when we got to the hospital. You’ll never imagine how sad we felt then.    Grandpa was very well all the time. I had never imagined that she would leave us so soon. That evening I lay in bed alone. My eyes were full of tears. “叮咛”、“叮咛”上课铃声响了，今天第一节课就是我喜欢的英语课，我们的英语老师，束老师满脸笑容的走进了教室。

Though my daily life is extremely monotonous, I try hard to adapt myself to

country.I get up at six o’clock every day. After I wash my face and brush my
